If you’re looking for something a little different to North Norfolk’s usual roster of tiny flint cottages, Queen Mary House could be just the place.
Built in the Art Deco era, this three-storey, end-of-terrace house (formerly two adjacent houses) offers bright rooms, sea views, and sleeping arrangements for up to 20 people – all in a fantastic clifftop position overlooking Sheringham beach.
The house has been arranged with large family gatherings in mind, and we’ve tried our best to cater for all your needs. On the ground floor there is a very large, open-plan living area with a well-stocked kitchen, ample comfortable seating, and a large dining table. There’s also a games room with table football and pool/snooker, and an enclosed, sea-facing patio with outdoor furniture and a barbecue.
In terms of location, you’d be hard-pressed to find somewhere better. The (dog-friendly) East Beach is only three minutes’ walk away, the North Norfolk Coastal Path begins almost on our doorstep, and Sheringham town centre (known for its old-fashioned seaside atmosphere and thriving independent shops) is just five minutes’ walk away.
You’ll find more information about our facilities below, but if there’s anything else you’d like to know, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We first went on holiday to Sheringham with our four children in 1994 and loved it's unspoiled character. We bought a holiday home there in 2005 and the opportunity to purchase Queen Mary House followed in 2007. We were knocked out by the position looking directly out to sea - as are all of the visitors to Seacliff. We love visiting Sheringham and the nearby coastline with opportunities to mess about in boats and then come "home" to all the facilities in Sheringham and the friends that we have made locally.
We are always available to contact during your stay and have local help to cover most situations.
Mark Cloutman purchased this in 2007
We loved the location, the friendly neighbours and the local facilities all within walking distance.

"What a wonderful weekend we had! Thank you so much - the house is beautiful and we all felt so at home immediately. You have made the house so much more than a holiday let - it was a real 'home from home'. It was great to have all my family together and we had the best of celebrations."

"We had a fantastic weekend, the property was brilliant and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get a couple more bookings next year and there was talk of making our weekend an annual event!. Thanks again for providing such wonderful holiday accommodation"

"The house was huge with ample space and comfortable too. But what made it extra special were the little touches around the house which made it so homely."
We wanted somewhere to accommodate 20 people comfortably and this property is ideal. Well equipped, good living space with fantastic views and an ideal location for beach and town. Wi-fi could be better, but only adverse comment on a great find.
15 people stayed for a combined New Year and my 60th Birthday celebration. Ages ranged from 4 - 83 yrs old. House is big and more than comfortable. Plenty of seating and dining space. 2 dishwashers/cookers and a separate laundry room. Most bedrooms faced the sea. Large play room with snooker/pool and table football, so lots of fun was had here. Sizable patio area for BBQ and early morning tea, watching boats go by. Parking not a problem, we had 5 cars at one point. 2 allocated spaces, but plenty of free street parking nearby. Very short walk to both beach/prom and town centre made this property ideal for our needs. Only 3 minor points....blurb told us there was wii in the house, however not in evidence, but not really an issue. The internet was very poor and certainly could not be used to stream stuff. (see earlier point !?) Finally, simple house keeping, replace missing light bulbs and a good ol' spring-clean would be helpful. House wasn't dirty.....just a bit 'dusty' in places, but having a number of rented properties myself, I have seen much much worse believe me ! So all in all, I'd say 9/10 for what we wanted and I would have no hesitation in recommending Queen Mary House or re-booking at a future date.....if I make it to 70 !?
Hope this helps and have a nice time !
Lovely property with plenty of space for the extended family. 2 minutes from the beach and only 5 minutes walk into the centre made it the ideal location. Wifi was disappointing as the network strength was poor but that was a minor issue in an otherwise very enjoyable long weekend. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone planning a large family gathering.
Its a really big place with every thing you need for eighteen people with 2 dishwashers, 2 large larder fridges, 2 cookers. A freezer , laundry room and games room. 3 bath rooms its comfortable, roomy the veiws are great. When one of the 4 toilets had a problem the owner had someone there within 20 minutes to fix it. Will go back again.
A lovely well-equipped, comfortable and welcoming house. Ideal for our large group. Amazing views and lovely walks.
This is my second stay (with large group of family members) and the house is just great. It really is in a lovely spot - the beach a short stroll away, town a few minutes away and countryside walks also only moments away - something for everyone!
