About the property

Queen Mary House, Sheringham, North Norfolk, England, UK - House Has Been Arranged With Large Family Groups In Mind.

Large holiday home which will accommodate a maximum of 20 people in 8-10 bedrooms over three floors. Parking for (strictly only) 2 cars is available in the shared car park and there is plenty of on-street parking nearby. The house occupies a position at the head of a grassy bank overlooking the promenade and with views directly out to sea. Sheringham is a traditional English seaside town with it's own steam railway, unspoiled shopping centre, pubs, theatre and museums. The beaches are a mixture of sand and pebbles and are very easily accessed from the property. It is convenient for the wonderful seaside town centre of Sheringham and the delights of the North Norfolk coast with it's many attractions.

About Mark Cloutman

We first went on holiday to Sheringham with our four children in 1994 and loved it's unspoiled character. We bought a holiday home there in 2005 and the opportunity to purchase Queen Mary House and Sea Wrack followed in 2007. We were knocked out by the position looking directly out to sea - as are all of the visitors to Seacliff. We love visiting Sheringham and the nearby coastline with opportunities to mess about in boats and then come "home" to all the facilities in Sheringham and the friends that we have made locally.

We are always available to contact during your stay and have local help to cover most situations.

Mark Cloutman purchased this in 2007

Why Mark Cloutman chose North Norfolk & Coast

We loved the location, the friendly neighbours and the local facilities all within walking distance.

Guestbook comments from the owner

September 2010

"What a wonderful weekend we had! Thank you so much - the house is beautiful and we all felt so at home immediately. You have made the house so much more than a holiday let - it was a real 'home from home'. It was great to have all my family together and we had the best of celebrations."

November 2010

"We had a fantastic weekend, the property was brilliant and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get a couple more bookings next year and there was talk of making our weekend an annual event!. Thanks again for providing such wonderful holiday accommodation"

March 2011

"Just wanted to say we had a lovely weekend, thank you, such a fantastic position and lovely views! We would I am sure, be very interested in coming again!!"

April 2011

"The house was huge with ample space and comfortable too. But what made it extra special were the little touches around the house which made it so homely."

Beautiful huge house

  • 4 of 5

We were 3 families wanting to share our holiday. The house was perfect for this it, its huge and well equipped. The location was amazing such lovely views of the beach to wake up to and just a short walk into the town center. The only things we had trouble with was we couldn't find the Wii console and the WIFi wasn't great but nothing that ruined our holiday in anyway. I highly recommend to families alike who want to share their holiday with friends or family. We may well make a return visit.

Fantastic house

  • 4 of 5

Lovely big house in a very good location. 16 of us stayed with plenty of room for everyone and a big enough kitchen to cook a meal for all of us. Views were great, and only a few minutes walk into Sheringham for supermarkets and pubs. Loved it that much, we have re-booked for next year.

A great house for a gathering

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here on a number of occasions for long a weekend with friends and even got married from here last year.

Everything you need, great views, short distance from the town and beach, but far enough away for a quite break / holiday.

Spacious holiday home, really enjoyed ourselves here.

  • 5 of 5

We came with 4 families for a weeks break. We had a really good time here. The house was well equipped with a games room, books, TV, snooker table, loads of couches, plenty of dining room space. Plenty of fridge/freezer space and very useful laundry room. Even came with deckchairs and fishing nets which we could take to the beach. The decked-out and furnished back garden was wonderful for BBQs and a beautiful view of the sea.

The property was clean and well presented.

The location was wonderful for the beach and local shops.

Had a wonderful time here and look forward to coming again.

Thank you.

Simon

Ideally situated but needs attention

  • 3 of 5

Queen Mary house is ideally situated overlooking the sea, walking distance from the town, it had all that was needed in the accommodation, but it really needed a good clean and maintenance, there were doors not closing, lights not working, limescale on taps showers . I personally would not want to stay there again until these things are sorted out.

Owner's Response: We will certainly address the concerns of this visitor. It is strange how feedback from visitors on consecutive weeks can be so different! We will continue to try to provide good value for money huge accommodation for a great family get-together by the sea!

Brilliant

  • 5 of 5

We all really enjoyed our stay at Queen Mary house, having booked the holiday to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday. There was plenty of space for every one and very well equipped. The games room was especially popular. Above all, we liked the location. Situated right on the top a sea cliff with amazing views; especially liked the sun rise and set.

Sheringham offered something to suit all tastes. We enjoy walking so it was nice to have the north coastal walk on the doorstep. Other members of our party went to visit the steam train and local seaside towns

So thank you for letting us stay at Queen Mary house. It will be remembered as a very happy occasion
