Furnished and equipped to superior standard our spacious apartment features good sized lounge, bedroom, American style kitchen with fridge-freezer, microwave, ceramic hob and full sized oven, bathroom with bath/shower and large terrace. The apartment has FREE WI-FI - It includes a 32" flat screen TV with SKY channels including all mainstream UK terrestrial channels and SKY Sports and SKY F1. There is a DVD player together with an assortment of DVD's for your pleasure. The apartment is professionally managed by our on-site letting agents who have an office on site to assist in the unlikely event you encounter any problems or misplace your keys. They will make sure the apartment is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for your arrival, ensure you have the correct number of towels and bed linen - and they will also provide a small welcome pack with tea / milk etc. for your convenience when you arrive. The apartment is officially registered for letting with the Tenerife Tourist Board. Two well stocked Supermarkets nearby and Royal Palm owners office where daily papers are available. Situated a short walk from wide golden sandy beaches and the town of Los Cristianos with it's excellent restaurants to cater for all tastes and budgets. Los Cristianos has a unique square outside the church leading down to the harbour, beaches and shops. Golf is nearby, as are excursions to all parts of the island, and to neighbouring Canary Islands. There is a taxi rank outside the complex and local pick-up points for excursions. The terrace overlooks the palm garden and is an excellent place to relax with a glass of Rioja and has ample patio furniture and sunbeds. The complex is well lit during the evening. All exits are protected with Security grills and there is a safe in the apartment for guests use.

There are two swimming pools within Royal Palm - one of which is heated during the winter months. Sunbeds and parasols are free. There is a water dispenser on the complex which saves carrying water back from the supermarket -although Royal Palm do in fact already filter water through the tap. Many of the restaurants within walking distance are featured on Trip-Advisor and I can offer details if you wish.

About Paul

We are a couple recently retired and we bought our apartment in Royal Palm 15 years ago primarily as an investment for retirement income but also for us and our friends and family to use for breaks in winter sun. Having had previous great holidays at Royal Palm when our children were younger we decided this was an ideal retreat from the uncertain British weather and we have never regretted buying it. Our family and friends continue to use the apartment for several weeks a year and therefore we like to make sure it is well maintained and kept to a high standard. The ambient winter temperature allows you to wear T-shirts and shorts all the year round and make full use of the terrace.

Why Paul chose South Tenerife

We stumbled across Royal Palm after the Co-Op Travel agents suggested we might like it there and we booked a 2 week holiday with some friends. When we tried to book the same apartment the following year we found it was for sale and the rest is history as they say. This was a big decision for us so we had a good look around properties in Los Cristianos before making a commitment but never found anywhere as nice or as relaxing. It is close but not too close to the airport. It is a quiet environment but close to all amenities.

What makes this apartment unique

There is no nicer feeling than unpacking the suitcase at the start of a holiday and relaxing on the terrace with a cool beer or glass of Rioja. The apartment is ideal for chilling out for a week or two - is situated between both of Royal Palm pools but far enough away to relax on the terrace. It is a ground floor apartment so relatively few steps to negotiate. Pleasant outlook over well tended and well lit gardens.

Excellent

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a week on 16 February. No 97 is very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Royal Palm itself is beautiful with two lovely pools and numerous restaurants and shops nearby. We were very lucky with weather with only one cloudy day out of the week. Thank you once again Paul for letting us stay in your lovely apartment. We will certainly be visiting again. Linda and John Hainey.

Many thanks for a immaculate & well equipped apartment. The only fault I can think of, 2 weeks is not long enough on this lovely complex.If we decide on Tenerife again for our holiday you will be hearing from us.

First Class Appartment

We spent 10 days at this lovely garden apartment in December and couldn't have had a better time. There is everything you need, the complex is both quiet and immaculately kept and there are several bars a few minutes walk. One bar has numerous TVs for sports fans, whilst another offers nightly entertainment so something for every taste. I highly recommend Kejerta restaurant which is just across the road and offers daily specials of lamb, fish and beef dishes. I have to mention that the complex is at the top of a fairly steep hill with quite a few steps inside so would not suit people of limited mobility but if you're reasonably fit book this appt.

Just what we needed

This was our first visit to the Royal Palm and we were not disappointed.

First of, the communication with Paul and Diane, the owners, was exemplary. Polite and precise, they provided plenty of useful information prior to our visit.

The apartment was beautifully presented and we imeadiately felt right at home. The pool area was popular, but not overcrowded.

The one thing that stood out straight away, was how quiet it was there *, which was exactly what we needed and hoped for. The guests and owners we met were all friendly and made us welcome.

There are some lovely restaurants nearby, serving a good range of food that would suit most.

All in all, a great break in very nice surroundings. Would we go there again? You bet!

* Not a complaint as such, but why oh why do people wear stiletto shoes on tiled floors in 1st floor apartments after midnight? This happened a couple of times during our stay, but annoying as it was, we didn't let it get us down.

GREAT STAY

My wife and I had a really good time here. This is our second stay at this apartment which is clean tidy and quiet.

It is ideal for our needs and it allowed us to have an easy going relaxed holiday. I would add that the pools and other facilities are great and everything you need in terms of entertainment shops etc are close by. We look forward to staying here again.

Blissful Retreat

This was our first time to Tenerife in an apartment and it was a perfect choice. Our communication with Paul before we left the UK was excellent, from taxi tips upon arrival, to where to find the best restaurants. The apartment has everything you need for your holiday. A fully equipped kitchen, even though we chose not to do much cooking, a good sized fridge and the welcome pack with tea and coffee, milk and water was very welcome. The apartment also has a good shower which is pretty essential when the temperature is in the 30's. It is in a good position, with easy access to the pool. There are many good restaurants within a ten minute walk and two supermarkets very close by. You would not need a car, unless you wanted to explore the island as everything is easily accessible. The apartment and the complex were both exceptionally clean and well maintained and there is a helpful team on site should any issues come up. We will definitely be returning in the future.

This was a big decision for us so we had a good look around properties in Los Cristianos before making a commitment but never found anywhere as nice or as relaxing. It is close but not too close to the airport. It is a quiet environment but close to all amenities.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

There are two main sandy beaches in Los Cristianos both within easy walking distance - Playa de Los Cristianos and Playa de las Vistas both approx 10/15 mins walk away. The exclusive beach at Playa del Duque with it's smart beach cafe's and fringed with designer shops just a 10 minute drive/taxi away. Lovely walks along the coast from Los Cristianos to La Caletta and beyond. Excursions from Los Cristianos harbour for fishing, diving and whales and dolphin trips. Also ferry trips over to La Gomera.

Plenty of water sports can be secured locally including Para-gliding and jet-ski's.

A car is not necessary with plenty of nice restaurants a few minutes walk from Royal Palm or walk into town for many more. Take-away available from many local restaurants. Nearby La Caletta hosts a number of exclusive restaurants for fine dining.

Travel: -- Just 20 minutes from Tenerife South airport which will cost approx 25 Euros (2016 prices). by Taxi. Local car hire available with airport collection / drop-off can be arranged. A small Citroen Saxo will cost approx Euros 115 per week. Good air-conditioned bus service around the island from Los Cristianos Bus station which is 10 mins walk from the apartment. Weekly passes for bus's provide a cheap way of seeing the island. Nearby resort of Golf Del Sur provides golfers with some very nice courses.

Distances:

A short bus ( free bus) or taxi ride from the recently opened Siam Water park About an hour and fifteen minutes from Loro Parque by tour bus, with it's Dolphin, Seal and Whale shows. .( See you tube link http://youtu.be/0HVB6_IWUMQ ) Dual tickets available which work out cheaper. Approx 25 minute drive from the famous cliffs of Los Gigantes, and El Medano where national kite surfing held only 10 mins away by bus.

Further Details:

Close to two well-stocked supermarkets with daily English papers and fresh produce. Plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby or within easy walking distance in Los Cristianos, catering for all tastes and budgets. Good rates of exchange from local "Exchange bureaux". Santander bank is less than 5 mins away. Restaurant "Belvedere" is literally 2 mins away and "Olivers with a Twist" 10 mins walk away - Trip Advisor best restaurant in Los Cristianos.. Various excursions can be booked locally including Winery tours , deep sea fishing , Medieval evenings, Jeep Safari's and excursions to Mount Tiede National Park.- or for the more energetic bike-rafting.

Booking Notes:
We ask for a deposit on booking (£50 per week or part thereof) and balance six weeks before arrival. We can put you in touch with local car-hire. We have worked with the official on-site letting agent, Oasis Management who manage our apartment, for many years and we are registered with the Tenerife Tourist Board and so legal for letting.
We have advertised on Owners direct since 2010. We accept bank transfers or cheques. We can arrange credit card booking via our on site letting agent but this would incur an additional fee.

Changeover Day:
With daily flights to Tenerife from many UK airports we can usually fit in with guests requirements. Where possible we are happy to accommodate late flight departures unless the apartment needs cleaning on day of departure. Minimum stay 6 nights.

The 32" flat screen TV has over 25 English speaking channels including BBC 1/2, ITV/Channel 4/5, BBC News, Sky Formula One and Sky Sports 1/2 and one movie channel. Also a variety of Spanish/German speaking channels.. (Channels may change) Security grills on all doors, and the complex employs professional security patrols at night during busy periods for peace of mind. This is a non-smoking apartment but ashtrays are provided for use on the terrace. No pets. Outside: The large terrace has a table and four recliner chairs with cushions and footstools and two sunbeds. The terrace has a large shaded area which keeps the lounge cool. Sun reaches the terrace April-October. Lovely views over the Palm Garden well suited to a glass of wine after a day at the beach. Royal Palm has two swimming pools (one heated during winter months) and a small kiddies pool. Lifeguard in attendance. The complex has a variety of tropical plants and trees professionally tended and is well lit at night. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment will have been cleaned before your arrival with bed linen and towels provided and changed weekly. More frequent changes can be arranged at a small extra charge. Please bring your own beach towels.
