In Upper Sea Point, the apartment is an easy walk to the beach front, while the V&A Waterfront and the World Cup Stadium are 5 minutes away by car. There are views across Table Bay to Robben Island and the kitchen offers a lovely view of Lion's Head and the corner of Table Mountain and the cable-way station. The well cared for security block is in a quiet residential road, minutes walk to great restaurants; a Greek resturant on the corner, two Spanish and and two Italian restaurants minutes' walk away.
I grew up and went to school in Sea Point, Cape Town, a few blocks from where my apartment is. I live in rural Suffolk and really enjoy returning "home" to Sea Point at least twice a year for a dose of sunshine. The apartment is my bit of city life high on the slopes of Signal Hill overlooking the sparkling ocean. Sunsets are spectacular from the apartment as the sun dips into the sea. I really enjoy the contrast between the English countryside and the warmth, sunshine and buzz of living so close to the city of Cape Town on the platinum mile. Hopping onto my scooter to have an hour or two on any one of the magnificent beaches nearby is really special.

I bought this apartment as it is in the wonderful wind free location of Upper Sea Point. The apartment is north-east facing which for those "in the know" is best as the apartment is warm in winter, and wind free in the summer. Although I have spent over 20 years in England, I know this area very well as my family have lived in Sea Point ever since my grandparents moved here in the 1930's. It is minutes from all the attractions that the mother city of Cape Town has to offer, at the same time as being in a quiet residential street of villas high on the slopes of Signal Hill. For those who enjoy walking, this is a wonderful safe and very convenient location.
During the long English winter, it is wonderful to escape and enjoy alfresco breakfasts on the sunny balcony. The doors onto the balcony don't get closed for the entire duration of my stay every year; it is great to be able to wake up and wander out onto the balcony and feel the warmth of the sun on one's face and smell the salt of the sea.

All I could say was "Wow" when I opened the front door on arrival- James London.
The photographs do not do the apartment justice - we are very happy here - Martin - London
The kitchen is well stocked, and we found plenty of linens and extra blankets and pillows. It couldn't be a more perfect location with incredible ocean and Sea Point views as well as a view from the kitchen of Lion's Head and the top cable car house. Well worth the stairs. There was even plenty of space - and chairs - for having friends to dinner to enjoy the amazing sunsets. The flat has the usual Cape Town problem of windows that don't seal, so the wind literally whistled through at times. Extra blankets were much appreciated. But winter afternoons were often warm enough to enjoy from the balcony. We felt very lucky to spend our time in Cape Town here.
We had a very nice stay in Cape town. We were close enough to walk restaurants . Downtown and the V & A marina were just a short taxi ride. The on off bus stopped not to far from us also . Very convenient and the view was wonderful.
