Apartment in Schoneberg, Berlin, Germany - In a peaceful street In the green and clean Schöneberg - Berlin

The apartment is 60sqm and is on the 2nd floor in a house at the corner of Berchtesgadener Strasse and Barbarossastrasse. From the living room you can walk out onto a balcony, which is sunny in the afternoon. The apartment is in the beautiful and clean and very green part of Berlin called Schöneberg. This part of the city is in the centre of Berlin just next to the area called Mitte. The apartment is close to the main street Kurfürstendamm and the big department store KaDeWe which is the 2nd biggest department store in Europe. It is very easy to get to the big tourist attractions from the area – for example it will only take about 10 – 15 mins. with public transport to get to Potsdamer Platz. In Schöneberg you will find lots and lots of restaurants with food from all over the world and small shops that sell all kinds of special and unique things. Close to the apartment you'll find parks where you can lie on the grass and relax and just enjoy the atmosphere.

About The Owner

My name is Jesper Kappel and I live in Copenhagen Denmark. I am a journalist and work for newspapers and organisations. Since 2006 I have had 2 apartments in Berlin that I rent out. Why do I have apartments in Berlin? Well I love Berlin. It's a lovely city and I always feel secure. It doesn't matter if you go in the streets at 2pm or 2am. Berlin has so much to offer: lots of museums, lots of parks, lots of restaurants, good pubs, good shows, good shops and then there is the whole history. Berlin is also a very green and clean city. There are nearly trees in every street. When you have been there once - you want to come back again and again.

Why The Owner chose Tempelhof-Schoneberg

Why an apartment in Schöneberg Berlin? Why stay in that part of Berlin? Well the answers are very simple. Schöneberg is a very green and clean part of Berlin. It is in the centre of Berlin, so it is very easy to get around. BUT still - it is a peaceful area. In Schönberg you will find anything you need. There are lots of restaurants with food from all over the world. There are many small interesting shops. Every Wednesday and Saturday there is a great market where you can buy lots of good food, clothes, leatherwork, jewellery and and and...You can find many good bars where you can buy nice drinks - and they are cheap as well.

What makes this apartment unique

From the flat it is so easy to get around in Berlin. It is only about 500 meter to the nearest tube-station and 50 meters to a bus-stop. The city transport system of Berlin is very good and very cheap. From the apartment it is only 25 - 30 meter to a good supermarket and green areas are close by. The apartment has a sunny balcony where you can sit and just relax and enjoy the sun and maybe a glass of wine which - by the way - is very cheap to buy in Berlin. From the apartment you can easily walk to KaDeWe - the biggist department store in Berlin - and you can walk to Kurfürstendamm which is the main shopping street in Berlin.

Outside: The apartment has a balcony with table and 4 chairs. Just outside there are trees and a lawn. You can look down in the street where you can park your car if you are driving to Berlin. Parking is free - and yes the area is safe. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and 2 towels for each person are included in the price. End of stay cleaning (compulsory) charge is 80 euro.

Excellent Berlin flat

Hi, we stayed in the flat for a week.

It is in a quiet residential location, but only a short walk to shops, cafés and restaurants.

Easy access to public transport to explore Berlin. Bus and underground only a few minutes walk.

Flat was well maintained, clean and light.

Greeter was there to meet us as requested.

Jesper (the owner) was always prompt and courteous in the email communications.

I would recommend this property.

We visited and enjoyed the following attractions from the flat, all within 30 mins,

Tiergarten and Brandenburg gate

Schloss Charlottenburg

Science museum

Art gallery

Can recommend the Eiscafe (ice cream parlour)

Travel:

The nearest airport is Tegel. If you use public transport it will take about about 45 mins to get the the flat. If you take a taxi it takes about 15 - 20 mins and costs about 20 - 25 euro.

If you fly to Berlin Schönefeld it will take about 75 mins to get to the flat using public transport. By taxi it will take about 30 mins and cost between 30 and 40 euro.

The apartment is in the centre of Berlin so it is easy to get around.

Further Details:

The nearest supermarket is 25 - 30 meters from the apartment. The whole area is full of restaurants, bars and small shops.

TOURIST TAX IN BERLIN: Berlin has introduced a tourist tax on hotels and holiday apartments. The tax is 5 % of the rent/cleaning fee. The tax will be included in the total price and written on the invoice as a seperate item.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible to suit your travel plans. The apartment is yours from 14:00 on the day of arrival except Sunday. Here the flat is free from 17:30. Check out time is 11:00 from Monday till Saturday. Sunday it is 13:00.

Notes on prices:
Minimum stay is 3 nights. You can book one extra bed for a 5th person. This costs 15 euro per night. 1 week/7 nights is 75 Euro. End of stay cleaning (compulsory) charge is 80 Euro. The key you will get when you arrive at the flat. If you come later than 18.00 (Sunday 20.00) there will be a "late check in fee" of 15 euro which is paid directly to my attendant who also will help you if something serious happens under you stay in Berlin. How to pay: either by bank transfer or internet banking.
