Apartment in Quinta do Lago, Algarve, Portugal - Lovely Location Close To The Nature Reserve And Beach.

Built in 2001 we have owned this beautiful apartment since it was completed. It was furnished to a show room standard for our own use with a handmade carpet and lovely oil painting adding colour to the lounge. The large kitchen is well fitted with quality appliances. There is cable TV in both the lounge and master bedroom as well as a DVD and CD player available. Full air conditioniing is installed in both the lounge and bedrooms. We have further improved the specification by installing under floor heating in the main bathroom, wall heaters in both bedrooms and an easy to use electric fire in the lounge. The private garden is quite large with a private swimming pool and is well stocked with fruit trees and flowering scrubs. It is possible to enjoy the sun from early morning until late in the evening but also to find a shady spot if it gets too hot.

In addition to our private pool we are only a stroll away from the large condominium pool, gym. and tennis courts.

I am semi retired having spent my life working in the food industry and establishing my own company in 1994.

We bought the apartment in Quinta do Lago after having spent several holidays using friends properties close by. We just fell in love with the quality of the area and its closeness to the beach and nature reserve which are a short wall away.

As we intended to live in the apartment we picked what we considered to be the prime location as far as privacy was concerned but also where we could enjoy the sunshine and our own private pool in our large garden all day long.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is situated in a private condominium which has a collection of privately owned villas and apartments. The facilities on site include a large communal pool plus a pool bar which is open in high season. Tennis courts and gym are also available. There is a high class restaurant where it is possible to take dinner outside under the stars overlooking the floodlit pool.

Within Quinta do Lago there are two shopping and entertainnment centres known collectively as Quinta shopping where there is a wide range of designer shops and restaurants catering for all tastes as well as a supermarket and nightclub.

Coast/Beach:

The beaches are close by [no main roads to cross] and can be reached with in a walking time of 15 minutes across the nature reserve. There is also a small man made beach at the sports lake which can be reached within 5 minutes walk.

This lake is ideal for families as it is close by and has all the facilities needed including water sports plus restaurants and bars.

The nearest airport is Faro which is approximately 20km away and can be reached by car in 20-25 minutes. It is recommended to hire a car as the shopping centre is 3km away.

Distances:

The nearest town is Almancil which has all the facilities which may be required including a chemist.

Further Details:

The nearest shops are at Quinta shopping where there is a good selection of shops, banks and restaurants.
