Updated: 04-Jul-2016
all en-suite Gites near Jugon les Lacs, Cotes d'Armor, Brittany - Peaceful Location, Easy Access To Coasts, Lakes, And Many Places Of Interest

Two renovated gites, originally a barn & stable, positioned in an idyllic sleepy hamlet of natural beauty. Comfortable accommodation with two bedrooms plus en-suites in each gite. No.1 gite has been fortunate to retain an original wood burning bread oven within the garden and No.2 gite has beautiful and imaginatively landscaped gardens. There are private patio areas at both houses where guests can relax and unwind in the mild Breton climate. There are spectacular coastlines, ancient towns to visit, magical islands and inland woods and lakes to explore. A lakeside activities centre at nearby Jugon Les Lacs offers cycling, swimming, sailing, and canoeing, and the area is rich in picturesque picnic sites. The forest and Abbey of Boquen, which dates back to 1137, are located near the gites. There are many chateaux nearby including the partly restored moated chateau at Hunaudaye.

About the Owner

No. 1 La Rocaille is owned by Andy, who lives in Worcestershire, Gavin, who lives in Derbyshire and Denise who lives in West Sussex. We inherited the house from our mother who loved it and really enjoyed being in Brittany. It is a holiday home for all of us and our families and we enjoy sharing it with guests. The house is a real home from home and it works well for two couples or for a family.

No. 2 Le Beau Coin is owned by Denise and Alan

We live in West Sussex and lead busy lives so getting away to Le Beau Coin to relax is wonderful. We enjoy walking, photography, painting and pottery, exploring old towns and villages, and eating out French style.

Beautiful gite and fantastic area. We were made very welcome and wished we were staying longer as it was so relaxing. Dawn and Terry Cox (May 2010). Best we have been to, everything is beautifully presented there is very good use of space - a lovely gite in beautiful surroundings near to many places of interest, Alyson and Andy (October 2011). A super place for an off-season break, The Hall family (December 2011). All mod cons in a lovely quiet setting - we enjoyed the retail therapy in St Malo and early morning runs in the beautiful countryside, Catherine and Tracy (April 2012). Very convenient for lots of places and having two great gites together was a real bonus for us, Dom, Annie and family, and Stuart, Mary and family(July 2012). It is a great setting and the gite has everything you could want for a holiday, Sam,Toby and Tom (July 2013).

Great gite in Brittany!

  • 5 of 5

This well equipped and comfortable gite is great for a relaxing holiday- peaceful surroundings and yet within easy reach of a superb coastline, pretty villages, lakes and medieval towns. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need for your holiday with furniture and fittings to a very high standard- exceptionally clean. We spent a lovely fortnight there with our two daughters and would fully recommend it!

Owner's Response: We are delighted that Maggie and her family had such a lovely holiday and enjoyed being in Brittany and at La Rocaille and are very pleased that they have recommended it so highly. Their experience was that which we want our guests to enjoy, a comfortable and relaxing holiday in a pleasant and peaceful place. We are also very happy to hear that the family enjoyed so many of the things that the region has to offer. We will continue to do our best to ensure that a stay at La Rocaille is a happy and memorable one.
