About the Owner

My wife, Sally, and I bought Ardbrecknish House in Scotland in 2005 after 25 years of dairy farming in Warwickshire, England. We both enjoy helping people make the most out of their holiday with us if it is suggesting where to go on day trips or where to see wildlife and birds. We chose to come to Ardbrecknish as it stands on the banks of Loch Awe, one of the most accessible yet natural lochs in Scotland where we are able to live life in peace and quiet surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. We also enjoy providing the locals with a friendly bar which acts as a focal point for them, fishermen and visitors alike.

We have been at Ardbrecknish for ten years now and have enjoyed every minute. We feel that we have greatly improved the property but we are always open to suggestions.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The convenience of having access to the house bar and pool table etc by just walking downstairs rather than having to travel for these facilities. The location was brilliant totally stunning Dec 2009

It is a beautiful location and a great place to feel away from it all! It had clean and spacious rooms with necessary equipment. Aug 2009

We very much appreciated the bar and the fact that meals were available at the site without going out in the evening - it made a lot of difference to our stay. We liked the fact that our dog was made welcome and we could walk him without any fear of "losing" him. The loch was very close which was also a bonus. June 2009
