About the property


Apartments being offered are newly built and overlook Marsalforn Bay. They are centrally located, with easy access to public transport and also the newly introduced hop on hop off buses. Being corner located apartments, both Bayside and Theos benefit from a lot of light and even natural sea breezes.

Both Theos and Bayside offer spectacular views of Marsalforn bay which can be enjoyed whilst relaxing at the balcony or sitting/living areas. Apartments are situated on the seafront of Marsalforn Bay just one minute walk from the beach. Marsalforn Bay is a quaint fishing bay, it boasts many restaurants, diving shops, water sports and boat trips. One can find super markets, pharmacies and all required amenities. The local bus stops right outside the apartment and its only a 10 minute journey to the capital city Victoria.

About The Owner

We are a couple from Gozo (Malta). We like travelling a lot and are open to home swap options in winter months too. You are welcome in Gozo and we look forward to host you on our wonderful island.

Why The Owner chose Island of Gozo

The property was bought to rent out and act as summer residence. We chose to buy this prime residence in Marsalforn first and foremost for its central location and the views it offers of the bay. The area is known for its tranquility and peacefulness in the winter months, serving as an ideal getaway relaxing break whilst it is very popular in the summer months with Gozitans, Maltese people and tourists taking their summer holidays, enjoying waterfront walks in the evenings and dining out in the various seaside restaurants. We use this property as our second residence for short vacations and rent it out too.

What makes this apartment unique

The property is centrally located with easy access to public transport opening access to the whole island. Public transport is quite cheap in Gozo, thus offering a budget way of exploring the island. Also from Bayside and Theos, one can start countryside and seaside walks leading to various villages or bays. The famous salt pans in Xwejni can be reached within 20 mins on foot.

You are also spoilt for choice where to dine out the evenings in Marsalforn or if you prefer you can enjoy a drink in one of the pubs.

Booking Notes:
Minimum stay is 1 week. Stays of 21 days or more enjoy 10% discount. Prices are quoted in Euro. Accepted payments are in Euro. A 30% non refundable deposit is to be paid for booking to be confirmed. This can either be payed preferably through paypal or else through direct bank transfer. Pending balance payable upon arrival. A 150 Euros refundable damage deposit payable upon arrival.

Changeover Day:
Arrival anytime from 3:30pm on the start date and vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. We try to be as flexible as possible on changeover days to allow our guests to take advantage of cheaper low cost airlines.

Notes on prices:
The rates quoted are for up to 2 persons per week. For every extra person, the weekly rate increases by Eur80 in Summer (July to Sep) and Eur35 for all other months (Oct to June). 10% discount for lets of 21 days and over. Longer stays are possible at further discounts. We can arrange for transfer by taxi directly from the airport to the apartment for an extra charge - refer to above notes.

Notes on accommodation: Children are welcome. Apartmens are children safe. Bayside apartment is fully airconditioned and ac is on a pay per use basis. There are also high speed air circulators available to ensure comfortable temperatures. Theos apartment is equipped with portable air circulators. Iron boards, iron and/or cots are available on request, if required, at no extra charge. Linen and towels are provided free of charge. If required an optional garage is available at an extra 30 Euros per week. Mobile Internet wifi available at 7 euros per day (connect up to three devices simultaneously, say laptop, tablet and smartphone) - download limit 4Gb per week. Maid cleaning service prior to stay included in price. If an extra cleaning is required during the stay, this can be provided at an extra cost. Outside: Apartments have spacious corner balconies from which one can enjoy stunning views of Marsalforn Bay and observe local village life go by.

wonderful family-holidays- it was hard to leave!

We spend wonderful family-holidays in October 2016 in this apartment (4 adults and 2 small children).

What you get: stunning view and best position (supermarkets, restaurants, beaches, diving centers in small walking distance); very helpful and friendly owner; clean and rustic apartment with plenty of space

The only things we missed: a washing machine, some more glasses,plates and cutlery

It was our second stay on Gozo. The owner was very friendly and helpful- before and during the stay: He offered help in organizing a rental car and airport transfer, it was no problem that we send a packet to his private adress in advance to reduce baggage (we not even had to pick it up- he brought it to us and it was really heavy), he waited next to the apartment until 1am (our plane arrived on Malta at 11pm so we caught the ferry at midnight) to hand over the keys and show us the flat and in the middle of our holidays he brought us fresh towels and linen.

The apartment offers the best view over Marsalforn Bay you can imagine. We enjoyed it so much- day and night. There was plenty of space for a group of our size. Every room had a private balcony, enough storage and was very clean. We cannot imagine the apartment being dirty and housing insects just 2 months ago. All surfaces are of stone, tile or massive wood - so there are obviously not much possibilities to accumulate dirt or anything- which we found to be very important because the kids brought in so much sand from the beach. The whole house and staircase were also very clean. In the dresser was a little bit dust so I wiped it before putting the clothes in. A new cleaning rag and broom and a new sponge in the kitchen would have been nice, but towels and linen were absolutely clean which was more important to us.

We already plan our next stay in this apartment.

Price-Performance-ratio is very good!

Corrisponde alla realtà solo la vista mare, per il resto niente, il bagno è uno e poi c'è una doccia puzzolente nell'armadio in camera da letto, cuscini e lenzuola puzzolenti, ho comprato cuscini e federe.

Ma la cosa allucinante per la quale non siamo riusciti a rimanere è che l'appartamento è invaso dalle blatte, le abbiamo trovate nel cibo e che camminavano sul piano della cucina. Non c'erano recensioni quando l'abbiamo affittato, ci siamo fidati del proprietario ma abbiamo sbagliato. Siamo scappati via 5 giorni prima che finisse il nostro soggiorno. La soluzione del proprietario, era quella di farci cambiare due appartamenti nei quattro giorni restanti del soggiorno, praticamente li avremmo trascorsi a fare traslochi.Non mi interessa assolutamente alcun rimborso economico, scrivo solo ed esclusivamente, perché non vogliamo che un'altra famiglia provi quello che è successo a noi, è stato allucinante vacanze rovinate

Owner's Response: Mr Giuseppe Imitato and his wife/companion started with complaints from the beginning. Every complaint was addressed and action taken within a very short time (even if complaint seemed not to make any sense, based on the principle of the customer is always right). This continued day in and day out. One morning Mr Imitato and he saw scarafaggi and they do not want to stay in apartment. I went to investigate what he saw and I saw nothing. When I asked him what he saw, he said the scarafaggi are not there at the moment!!! Still we agreed that I give them another apartment just 30 metres away and after cleaning and preparing this apartment for them, Mr Imitato and his wife/companion changed their mind and said they wanted a cash refund and not to go to another apartment. I explained that I cannot offer a refund in this particular case and they told me they already had bought Ryanair tickets to fly back to Italy in the afternoon. THIS WAS A TOTAL LIE SINCE I SAW THEM DINING IN RESTAURANTS IN THE EVENING AND EVEN NEXT DAY AND AFTER!!!!! It is not true they did not want a refund. Mr Imitato and his wife/companion started shouting and tried to blackmail me by saying that if I do not refund them in cash they will write all over the internet and do me a bad name - just what they did. IF ON THE OTHER HAND I REFUND THEM THEY WILL WRITE NOTHING ON THE INTERNET AND ALL WILL BE FINE!!!! They also told me that in previous cases they had they were refunded (meaning they are used to using this tactic of creating complaints to get refunded). HOTEL AND PROPERTY OWNERS NEED TO BEWARE OF GIUSEPPE IMITATO AND HIS WIFE/COMPANION CANNOT BE TRUSTED. I insisted that they cannot blackmail me with reviews and I am offering they a fair solution even though I could not verify the substance of their scarafaggi complaint. I also offered them a free week next year or after to show them my goodwill.. They persisted that they only want a refund since they have a flight home to catch (which was not true - a complete lie to get refunded). I sincerely hope that reviews are not to be used to blackmail property owners into a refund, as is this case. I AM WRITING THIS FEEDBACK FOR PROPERTY OWNERS TO BEWARE OF SUCH PEOPLE WITH MALINTENTIONS!
