The apartment is part of an amazing complex which is fully gated, secure and has plenty of amenities such as an excellent pool bar in the summer, selling refreshing cold drinks, snacks and coffees. It also has a French bistro and the wonderful Oscars bar, with live music and lovely meals within 400 yards of the apartment front door. Brand new from 2015 is a new Italian restaurant, a lovely Wine Bar and a convenience store for all your daily necessities. A new Steakhouse has also opened up at the bottom of the hill (genuine few minutes walk)

New for 2016 is full WIFI access for all guests and access to 200+ TV Channels.

Slightly further up the road, you have the 5 star Vila Sol Hotel which houses a relaxing spa, beautiful pool area and various bars and restaurants. You can also try your hand at tennis, hit some golf balls on the driving range or jump in a buggy and play 9, 18 or 27 holes of Championship Golf.

Vilamoura Marina is approximately 5 minutes in a car (7 euros in a taxi) and here you will be bumping into the rich and famous. As a family, we have been visiting Vila Sol for 14 years and the kids keep wanting to go back year after year. We know you will enjoy it and we are confident you will rebook on your return.

NEW for 2017 is a second property very close by which allows us to accommodate larger families up to 9/10 people.

Why Ian Fraser chose Vilamoura

Our family have been visiting the Algarve for 20 years and Vila Sol has been our regular spot for the past 16 years, since the first phase opened. Over the years, the place has got better and better with the new supermarket and restaurants opening. Oscars bar is a fantastic place to relax and watch any sporting events then take in live music. The owners and staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. All of these amenities are within a 2 minute walk of the apartment which was the main reason we chose to purchase here. We hope, make that believe, you will get the Vila Sol bug once you have been.

What makes this apartment unique

For us, the ground floor walk out access to the pools is absolutely vital as using the gates and keeping keys etc can be cumbersome.

Changeover Day:
Flexible on this depending on availability. Arrival time is generally 3pm and departure time is 10am. We will be as flexible as possible and attempt to get the apartment ready as soon as possible for early arrivals however this is not always possible.

Notes on accommodation: These apartments are ideal for young and old. The complex is gated offering additional security and our apartment overlooks 2 pools so you can relax on our patio and watch the kids have fun at the pool area. The air-conditioning ensures the apartment is lovely and cool in the summer and there is nothing better than sitting at night with the sun going down. Outside: Lovely rattan furniture seating 4 outside. A further dining table again for 4 with parasol. 4 sun loungers. Barbecue. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen changed weekly for stays longer than 1 week. Plenty of bath towels and bath sheets provided. Separate beach and pool towels also provided.

Perfect Apartment

Really loved the apartment. Everything just right, very comfy bed, lovely outside furniture.

Wifi was great and tv good. We loved the modern sofa too and found everything but pegs in the kitchen.

Excellent owner who really gives you so much advice.

Would we return you bet !!

Great apartment!

Brilliant location and stunning apartment, very well furnished especially the outdoor area. Loved the easy access to the pools and the local restaurants/pubs. The information book in the apartment about the marina with good places to eat was very useful and there was even a few numbers for very reliable taxis! Couldnt complain about anything and will definitely be returning in the future!!

Wonderful place to stay

Just returned after a 3 night stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Passed Vila Sol on many occasions in the past and often wondered what it would be like, definitely not disappointed. Apartment was a delight with plenty of room. Living room and outside terrace were exceptional. Position was ideal as close enough to access all 3 swimming pools but far enough away for privacy. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Thanks for allowing us to use your apartment.

Nice accommodation, lovely gardens, well located, helpful flexible owner.

We had a lovely stay. Thank you. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. They made a number of local recommendations all excellent. The Vila Sol grounds were spacious and really quiet at night during our stay.

There were two very good restaurants, walking distance, Paisagem our preferred for Portugese food, and at the local Marina in Vilamoura there were so many choices that you could easily spend 2 weeks there and never eat at the same place twice! That said Don Alfonso in Vilamoura for steak, exceptional recommendation by the owners, well worth a visit. We went twice!

The local Water park was being refurbished when we were there but certainly looked like it had everything a family would need to while away a day. We had a car to visit many local beaches and sites, recommended. The owner recommended local beach of Trafal, 10 mins drive, was 6 Kilometres long and had hardly anyone on it with free parking. The nearby Market town of Loule has a cultural (artisan) quarter and very good market and just to the right of it is an inconspicuous restaurant that all the local workers go to - the fish & produce is carried straight from the market into the restaurant, brilliant and great value for money.

All in all - an excellent holiday location.
