Luxury 3-bed, 3-bathroom villa in quiet residential area of Cala D'Or


Large, privately-owned villa, with private swimming pool and gardens, in beautiful location overlooking a small rocky cove on the Mediterranean. Villa is south facing so there is sun all day. Spacious terraces, on both ground floor and first floor with spectacular unopposed views of the sea. There is direct access to the Mediterranean from a secure gate in the rear garden. Private pool maintained by pool man. All bedrooms are double sized each with own large bathroom - one en suite - two bedrooms plus bathrooms on ground floor and a further bedroom and bathroom on upper floor. All bedrooms have fitted mirrored wardrobes. All bedrooms have aircon. Fully equipped kitchen with new appliances - integrated fridge and integrated dishwasher, microwave oven etc. Washing machine, tumble drier, freezer in garage. Large lounge, TV, CD player, DVD player, two sofas, coffee table, glass-topped dining table and six chairs. New glass-topped patio table and six chairs, plus four sun loungers on ground floor rear terrace; glass-topped table and four chairs, plus two sun loungers on upstairs terrace. Two chairs and coffee table on small front terrace, plus BBQ eating area in courtyard.

Myself and my family, 16 yr old daughter and 13 yr old son had a fantastic weeks holiday at this villa. Quiet location, Stunning ,relaxing views, walking distance to restaurants, shops and the harbour. No need for a car, which was ideal for us as we like to take a break from driving. We had a few hiccups with the internet but after an email to Juliet this was soon resolved quickly. She has an agency in to deal with care of the villa, we dealt with Carmen who was most helpful at all times. The villa is not dressed as a rental, it is a fabulous home.

This was our first villa holida, and won't be our last, hope to return next year and would definitely recommend it.

Breathtaking views, amazing location, magical!

We have just returned from this very gorgeous Villa.

We have 3 young daughters, the eldest who is disabled.

Having travelled around Europe, never before have we enjoyed such magical views. The water, splashing against the rocks is the most magical sensory experience, particularly at sunset. The gorgeous yachts passing by - heavenly.

The location was perfect for us, a gentle 5 minute stroll to the shops and restaurants or a 10 minute stroll to the gorgeous harbour. We found some gorgeous restaurants and the owner was incredibly helpful in directing us to some most delightful places and restaurants on the Island. She could not have been more generous with her time.

Locally, Carmen was great and Steve the handyman only 5 minutes away as the Boiler needed resetting, only a 5 second hiccup during 2 blissful weeks! The pool is looked every every couple of days, again more frequent than most European pools.

The Villa is so relaxing. Lovely furniture, both inside and out. Spacious rooms and lots of storage. Wifi works perfectly and our daughters were delighted to have access to Sky TV (never experienced this on holiday!). Air conditioning to all three bedrooms too.

Our disabled daughter found the access just perfect, nothing too far away and only 2 or 3 steps which were tiny. The fact that the pool was just a couple of metres from her sun lounger, made her teenage lazy afternoons perfectly blissful! The views of the yachts and splashing tides against the rocks created the most amazingly peaceful backdrop for her.

We mainly used the downstairs part of the Villa and much of 'upstairs' was not used with the exception of evening time for our youngest daughter. She loved the tranquility of having a whole floor to herself, with a library/study for quiet evening times! Again, another rare experience for a family of five to have 'lots of private space'.

We loved the Island, the Cala D'or / Cala Egos location, but having travelled around during the two weeks, we came home saying 'wow' as the view from Juliet's Villa is like no other that we saw on the Island and indeed any other from other European locations that we have travelled to. A very magical place! Needless to say, we have booked for next August.

Owner's Response: Lindsey and her family were a delight to have staying in what is, basically, my home and not a holiday home, neither in style nor quality of furnishings as there are some valuable antiques and a lot of money has been spent upgrading the villa in the last two years. So, it was wonderful to have a guest who appreciated not only the interior of the villa but the exterior too! Her description of the view as being magical is exactly my own, and I feel this way even after nearly 30 years of ownership. Despite having three young children, one of whom was disasbled, not only did she find the villa "perfect" for her disabled daughter, she looked after the villa as if it were her own and kept it spotless.... To receive an uplifting review as this is such a boost as I try very hard to keep the villa looking as good as is possible so that guests can enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you Lindsey.....and I look forward to seeing you next year!!

The villa is listed as luxury but it is not. The photos are obviously taken some time ago. The one with the parasol by the pool shows 3 tiers, but there is only one now. The pool was covered in flies and debris and it took me over an hour to clean with the pool net, this was not helped by the fact the net had many holes in it. Worse was one of the toilets was splattered with poo, the kitchen bin had rotting mouldy rubbish in it, there was rotting potatoes in the cupboard and dirty pans in the oven. We cleaned the pans as we needed to use them. The owner did send someone around to clean the rest. I could not empty my suitcase as the draws were not clean they either had dust and hairs in them or other people clothes.

i would say the view is great and it does have the potential to be a great villa. Just needs updating and a good clean.

It did make me laugh that the owner deducted £50 from my deposit for using too many towels. Shame we couldn't bill her our time for cleaning. This has put me off renting villas. The amount of money that it cost I could have stayed in a luxury hotel.

Owner's Response: The renter says my villa was ‘disappointing’.I was ‘stunned’ at this as all of his niggly complaints were dealt with the day after his arrival. My rep is my eyes and ears on the ground so I have to take on board her reports re the condition of the villa after a renter has left.The flies/moths on the pool surface were overnight ‘visitors’ attracted by pool lights & would have been washed away had he waited for the automatic pool pump to turn on.The net is not used by the pool company;they have their own professional equipment!The pool is cleaned on Mon,Weds,Fri–not a Sat the day he made his complaint.His wife was so pleased with the villa that her last email to me on 21.09.15 complimented me on the colour scheme of the villa.She later on told my rep that she would love to return.Not the actions of someone who was dissatisfied with their stay!One genuine complaint was rubbish in the bin and potatoes in the cupboard which should have been picked up by the cleaner–who has since been fired.The potatoes were left by the previous guest who vacated one week prior to the renters arrival–hardly rotting.However,the not insignificant discount I gave them upfront should maybe have been taken into consideration.The photos were actually taken on 11.04.15 by a professional photographer.The 3-tier umbrella rotted through the salty air over time so I replaced it this year with an equally attractive brolly.This brolly is a ‘decorative’ item (like a vase or plant pot)–not a functional one.I replaced several functional items earlier this year but no complaint was made about these items not being in any photograph! I advised the renter that I would not entertain him as a guest ever again due to the state in which he left my villa which I suspect has something to do with his ‘retrospective’ complaint.The £50 charge was not only for excessive towel use, but additional time spent cleaning too.He admitted he'd had an ‘accident’ with a coffee cafetiere causing running stains of coffee on the wall tiles which he left to the cleaner to do.More critical,had I known at the time that our wine & bottles of champagne-Wedding gifts still in their wrappers/tags-had mysteriously 'disappeared' I would have deducted more.I wonder why he waited until 29.12.15 to post this Remark 3 mths late?Finally I hope that reading this response together with the two 5* ratings and other guest compliments & my 10-year history with Owners Direct, you can 'read between the lines' & draw your own conclusions.

Perfect location

This property was perfectly situated for us, right next to the sea in a quiet location but within walking distance of restaurants, shops etc. The villa itself was beautiful, with all the amenities required. The owner was very helpful and attended instantly to our only query. I would recommend this property to friends.

There is direct access to the Mediterranean through a gate at the bottom of the garden. The villa is within five minutes walk of the Des Pou beach in Es Forti and approximately 10 minutes walk from another beach in Cala Egos. Cala D'Or itself is approximately 20 minutes walk around the fabulous Cala D'Or Marina where there are many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes, making a delightful walk.


Palma de Mallorca is a 45 minute drive away from the villa on a very well signposted route.


Within five minutes drive from the villa there is the quaint, unspoiled fishing village of Porto Petro. The beautiful double-beach area of Cala Mondrago - which is a National Park area surrounded by pine forests - is a twenty minute drive away. Further afield is Colonia de San Jordi which has a maritime 'museum' and aquarium showing all species that live in the Mediterranean.

Further Details:

Every Thursday evening during the summer season, there is a arts and craft market in Cala Egos - five minutes walk away - and well worth visiting. Local shops include many restaurants and bars, plus supermarkets, chemist, doctors, medical centres, car hire and gift and clothes shops.

  • NOTES ON ACCOMMODATION: All rooms have heating and all bedrooms have air-con.There is off-road parking as well as plenty of parking outside the villa. The villa rental includes all normal electricity costs (some owners are installing separate pay-as-you-go electricity meters for aircon/electricity usage by guests),wi-fi, aircon/central heating, linen and towel change (for over 7 day stay),plus exit clean on departure. OUTSIDE: The villa is enclosed in tropical gardens with paths.The rear garden has a private gate to the sea.The swimming pool is reasonably large, deep, and and is for villas' sole use. There are several sun loungers provided on large terraces as well as a table with six chairs on the ground floor terrace and a table with four chairs on the upstairs terrace. Both of these terraces overlook the aquamarine Mediterranean sea. There is also a seating area and table in the courtyard for barbecues.There is another small terrace on the first floor at the front of the villa with a table and chairs UTILITY AREA: There is a utility area in the garage with washing machine, tumble dryer and combi fridge/ice free freezer.
