It offers very well appointed accommodation, including LCD TVs & wireless broadband. It is extremely child friendly & has childrens games, books, DVD's, Wii, high chair, & travel cot. It is a large, well-porportioned duplex apartment with open plan living space, kitchen, cloakroom & generous roof terrace on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor there is a king bedroom with TV, & a 2nd bedroom with a single bed & bunk beds, both have seaviews. The bathroom has a jacuzzi bath with shower over. The property is extremely well-equipped, real home-from-home and has a luxurious 'boutique hotel' feel.

About the Owner

Waves & nearby apartment Top Deck (E1053) are owned by sisters Julie Hill & Emma Dixon. We manage & market the apartments ourselves, as well as running our own businesses. Julie is the owner of The Coastal House, an Estate Agents specialising in the sale of Waterside properties, as well as a wife, & mother of 2 children. Emma owns Blue Sea, a marketing & project management company specialising in holiday home marketing and the renovation of holiday homes in the South Hams, and a mother of 1. We both moved to South Devon over 12 years ago and with beautiful beaches on our doorstep, and the town of Dartmouth nearby, with it's excellent local restaurants, centuries-old pubs, bistros & cafes to enjoy as well as exclusive boutiques & galleries to shop in, we wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

We love Stoke Fleming because of the fantastic facilities in the area. We are located in the centre of this popular coastal village, just a 10-min walk to the award-winning Blackpool Sands Beach. The village boasts a shop & post office, 2 pubs, and a restaurant, as well as a hairdressers & a garage. Stoke Fleming is in an area of outstanding natural beauty & is close to beautiful cliff top paths with magnificent views, & is on the South West Coast Path. It is a just a 5-min drive from the Historic Port Of Dartmouth. Stoke Fleming is the perfect village for both families, & for couples, as it can feel both the perfect hideaway, as even in the height of summer the village doesn't feel busy, with the benefit of being able to walk to all the essential amenities needed whilst on your holiday.

Waves is located on the South West Coast Path in the South Hams, so an ideal location for a walking holiday. The apartment is located only 2 miles from Dartmouth, so ideal for the many events that take place in Dartmouth throughout the year. Some of these include - Candlelit Dartmouth 30 November - 1 December 2012, New Year Street Party 31 December 2012, Dartmouth Music Festival 10-12 May 2013, Classic Sailing Regatta 6-13 July 2013, Dartmouth Royal Regatta 29-31 August 2013, Dartmouth Food Festival 25-27 October 2013.

Coast/Beach:

The award winning Blackpool Sands is a 10 minute walk away, just 1 minute by car. This blue flag beach is set in a sheltered bay surrounded by evergreens and pines. It is a privately managed family beach with turquoise blue sea with sand pits, a bathing raft, kayaks and windsurfers for hire, a range of delicious hot and cold food from the award winning Venus Cafe and a beach shop, it has something for all the family.

2 miles on is Slapton Sands with its 3 mile long beach and Slapton Ley.

Nearest airports - Exeter - approx 45 minute drive, Bristol - approx 2 hour drive.

Nearest train station - Totnes - Approx 20 minute drive. - fast train to London = 2 hours 45 minutes.

Nearest Port - Plymouth - Approx 45 minute drive with regular ferries to Roscoff in France, Cork in Ireland and Santander in Northern Spain (Brittany Ferries).

There is a small general store/post office, just a 1-minute walk from the apartment, in the village of Stoke Fleming, and an excellent village pub, the Green Dragon, which serves good food, and also has outside area, and is child friendly. There is also a great dine-in bistro style restaurant, The Brill Plaice, which also offers takeaway fish and chips and a hairdressers in the village. Dartmouth is only 5 minutes by car – the Jewel of the South Hams. Ancient narrow streets house boutique shops, art galleries and delicatessens. A cobbled market place features colourful stalls and Farmers markets supplying local produce – used by our gourmet restaurants, pubs and cafes.

Sail, fish, explore by boat or come at festival time. Take the steam train ride to Paignton for a treat or enjoy visits to the Castle, Britannia Royal Naval College and National Trust Gardens. Walk the South West Coast Path or laze on the clean beaches. There is a wealth of things to do in the area.

Waves is just a 10-min walk from the fabulous award winning beach Blackpool Sands. We provide all linen, & towels so you can travel light. We have made the apartment child friendly, & supply a highchair & travel cot free of charge on request, & we have a selection of children's toys, books, DVD's & videos and a Wii. Waves has a sun terrace with BBQ, & a shared garden area. It has an allocated private car-parking space, rare in this area! For those who enjoy a more active holiday, take advantage of the many water sports on offer in the area including sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding & surfing & there is a golf course nearby where you can pay & play. Waves is the main bus route (hourly) along the coast road between Kingsbridge & Dartmouth & is a great way to travel too.

You will find your holiday home ready for your arrival with all beds made up, towels in the bathrooms, complimentary toiletries, flowers on the table, bread, milk, butter and a bottle of wine. The apartment is very well-equipped and are a real home from home. Outside: Waves has a private outside terrace with deck with table, chairs and BBQ. There is also a shared, fenced-in lawned garden with sea views. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, tea-towels and linen are included but guests need to bring their own beach towels. Other: The dining area has doors opening onto a large first floor terrace ideal for alfresco dining with patio furniture & BBQ. There is also a cloakroom with toilet.
