Our chalet style villa is in one of the most beautiful parts of the Island of Mallorca. Nestled in a private garden, with an elegant BBQ, it features a large L shaped terrace catching the sun at all times of the day. From the terrace there are views of the Talaia d'Alcudia mountain, known as the red mountain when it reflects the setting sun. The property is perfectly situated for exploring the area. You can walk from the villa into beautiful Mallorcan countryside and enjoy the fauna and flora which at certain times of the year is quite spectacular. Sit on the terrace and listen to the scops owl or watch the hoopoe pecking in the garden.

About the Owner

Tony and Jen Sansom are fortunate to live in a wonderful part of the UK, the Lake District, and to have a holiday home in a wonderful part of Majorca.

We moved to Windermere in 1973 where we bought a lovely farmhouse and 24 acres of land. 3 children followed, who have now flown the nest, but to our delight regularly return with our grandchildren.

Changes have taken place over the years since we came to Blackmoss, including the conversion of some redundant outbuildings into a holiday cottage. (E6685)

We first visited Majorca in 1971 and our lasting memory was of almond blossom, blue sky, azure sea and windmills. The dream was to have a holiday home one day, which we realised in 2002, when we bought our home from home in a most idyllic area in the North of the Island - Bon Aire. (B4798)

Beautiful Bonaire

This property is beautiful and has everything you need for a super holiday. The house is spacious and very well appointed. There is a lovely garden to sunbathe in and terraces for eating outside. A beach is just a short distance from the property. We have been here on more than one occasion and highly recommend both the property and the owners who are a delight to deal with.

Special interest holidays:

Keen walkers and birdwatchers will have no need to stray far from 'home'.

Coast/Beach:

Two very safe sandy beaches, ideal for children, are within a 10 minute walk. Exhilarating swimming off a rocky cove into crystal clear waters is within a 5 minute walk and numerous other beaches are very close by.

Travel:

Palma airport is a 50 minutes drive from our villa. Car hire is advisable. If you wish, we can recommend car hire companies.

Distances:

The old towns of Alcudia (5 mins drive) and Pollenca (20 mins drive) are interesting both historically and architecturally with numerous bars and restaurants and quaint interesting shops. The ports of Alcudia and Pollenca are simply delightful for an evening stroll by the beach. All have weekly markets selling local produce and souvenirs.

Further Details:

Locally there 5 restaurants offering a good variety of cuisine. Drive up to the Ermita de la Victoria and eat/drink sitting looking out over the most spectacular views across Pollenca bay to the Formentor peninsular and Pollenca port.

Alcudia has supermarkets with everything you need including a fresh fish counter. Bear in mind the opening times of many shops are different from UK as they close for an afternoon siesta and open again for longer in the evening.
