Great Position

  • 4 of 5

We were very pleased with the quality of the cottage and its area. Half way between Runswick Bay and Staithes right next to the Cleveland Way and with in walking distance of the village of Hinderwell with a few local services and a great pub with Hearty food ''The Badger Hounds'' (Dog Friendly)

The Cottage was well fitted out and very comfortable with all mod con's. Dog's are allowed and with a handy hosepipe outside for muddy feet. We have already enquired about our next visit.

Lovely cottage

  • 4 of 5

A great little cottage in a quiet location. The views (particularly from the upstairs bathroom) are wonderful, particularly as the sun comes up in the morning. Our particular 'highlights' were the log-burner in the lounge which we used for the novelty value even in the middle of summer and the children loved their large, spacious attic bedroom and the ground floor wetroom. The walk along the coastal path is lovely and easily do-able, even to those who don't normally tackle such things! Everything we needed was there, including a selection of children's books and board games. We will very possibly return next year, and very possibly for a fortnight!

Facilities

From the Owner

The cottage is down the coast road and set back from the main road, so its idea for families with small children as cars don't drive past. Also a few minutes walk from the bay and a fun climb down the coastal path.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: top bedroom is a loft room and has open top stairs, so extra care is needed with younger children, stairs are carpeted and short flights. Back garden is open plan and not completely fenced in, as terraced cottages are close together, local children do play out in and around the back gardens. Back yard is gated and a good place to leave dogs outside. Outside: Communal garden at back of property. Plenty of space to play football etc but gardens are shared at the back and children do play out, a smaller area for sitting is near the house and more private. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Beds made up and please leave as found but a cleaner will come in to check property after your stay. Please bring own towels. Other: Nice sunny porch with cafe table and chairs ideal for dogs and boots.
