We have two properties in Norfolk, one in Brancaster and the other in Wells – Next – The – Sea; 2 hours away from our home near Cambridge. Fab New Year !!

We stayed along with another family and had a great new year. The house was in an ideal location to all amenities, and was equipped with everything to make our stay home for home. Would recommend it and hope to stay again soon.

Location

The Norfolk coast is beautiful with large unspoilt beaches, pinewoods, big skies, friendly pubs, great walks, bird watching and there is a wealth of visitor attractions in the area. We just love North West Norfolk. ********** PLEASE ALWAYS EMAIL OWNER FOR PRICES ********

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The Quay is 250m from the house and from there the lifeboat house/beach/pinewoods are one mile which is a very pleasant walk (or cycle), along the wide path alongside the water or drivable to the beach car park. Also in season there is a miniature train and horse drawn carriage which can be utilised. The beach is superb with a vast expanse of sand at low tide and beach huts can be rented. Part of the beach is dog free.

Travel:

Whilst there is a excellent coastal hopper bus service (helpful for one way walks) virtually all visitors come by car which allows the surrounding countryside, resorts, venues and events to be explored. Nearest airport is Norwich with Stansted approximately 2 hours driving away.

Distances:

Fakenham is 20 minutes drive away and has 2 supermarkets and petrol filling stations. There is a plethora of interesting places to visit within 15-20 minutes including Holkham Hall, and Burnham Market, with Bircham Windmill, Brancaster, Hunstanton and Sandringham a little further away.

Further Details:

Wells has a local supermarket, fruit and veg, baker and butcher as well as many other shops but no petrol filling station (nearest is at Burnham Deepdale or Fakenham).

  • Booking Notes:
    A booking form and personal cheque to our home address is required after which we issue a written confirmation. Initial enquiries are welcome by email, text or telephone. A deposit of one third at the time of booking is requested with the remainder payable one month before the holiday commences.

    Changeover Day:
    Saturdays. Arrival time is 3pm and leaving time is 10.30am. Flexibility may be possible, please ask.

    Notes on prices:
    The property is available all year round and prices vary according to season.
    Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds (GBP).
    For Christmas and New Year please ask. Short lets available in non peak periods, please ask.
    Reductions are available on some weeks for 2 person lets.
    Prices are inclusive of reasonable use of utilities/ heating.
    Please call or email for a price (not loaded on to website) giving party size, any pets and if bed linen is not required (it is normally included)

Wells is a fishing port with a quay and a good selection of shops and pubs and it is possible to hire a beach hut overlooking the vast beach. We can park the car and walk everywhere - so many amenities close by and such lovely inland and coastal walks.Also a wide variety of shops, pubs cafes etc. Crabbing is popular with children. The Norfolk Coastal Path runs near both properties and the Coastal Hopper bus service facilitates long walks and a ride back.

Outside: The rear enclosed garden is accessible via a side gate at the front of the house, is pleasant and has a large picnic table. There is access to the new dining area which overlooks the garden through a large window. Utility Room: Tumble drier located in garage, Also some crabbing tackle (NB other than this garage is not available for use by visitors). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Duvets and pillows are provided. Bedlinen (sheets, king, single duvet covers and pillowcases) are available or Visitors may bring their own. Visitors should bring all towels (bathroom and kitchen) as not included. Cleaned before each let. Other: Spacious entrance hall leads to lounge, kitchen/dining area; wc and upstairs.
