About Angela Harper

We have lived in this pretty, peaceful hamlet of St Quion for 10 years. We moved from S.W England and after 10 years continue to be delighted by the longer, warmer summer evenings. BBQs most nights!

We love the country life but also, it's easy access to historic towns, restaurants, bars, and the beautiful rugged Breton coast and sandy beaches.

Our French neighbours are delightful, very friendly and enjoy our summer visitors. The farmer's

fields go down to the river and he is happy for you to stroll, fish, BBQ or picnic here. You might even have a tractor ride !

What a wonderful find!

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time that family Morgan were going abroad with the dog. Armed with the new pet passport, 5 of us trooped off with the pooch on Brittany Ferries (brilliant by the way). The photos of La Ferme looked promising. We weren't disappointed. The whole area is just a nature lovers paradise. Angela, Martine, Roger and Gildas were so welcoming and helpful. We were lucky with the weather but even if we hadn't been, there is plenty to do. The dog loved the walks in the woods. The accommodation is wonderful with plenty of space and is well looked after. Having the heated pool was a bonus. The BBQ came in handy. We even played badminton in the pool...absolute hoot!! We went canoeing in Henbont (a must), beauty treatments for the girls in Quiberon and great shopping in Vannes and Lorient. The E. Leclerc hypermarket in Henbont was great...was like a kid in a toyshop in the wine section! La Ferme is the perfect place to relax and do nothing, or the place to stay if you want to relax and be active! Horseriding is just up the road. Bike rental is sure to be there or bring your own. The only regret we had was to have booked just one week. Well be back. Merci.

Relaxing picturesque holiday setting.

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely family holiday at La Ferme and would love, if the opportunity arises, to return. With the River Blavet flowing in front of the house, and adjoining the farm, this is a tranquil, rural destination. The house is a great base from which to explore this part of Brittany. We cycled, played tennis, enjoyed the beach and, thanks to our hosts, enjoyed a day's sailing off the Lorient coast, as well as some excellent meals out. All in all, a wonderful spot for a summer break. Chris and Penny.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing holiday we had in August, truly a wonderful house in a perfect setting. The private pool was fenced in which was a god send with having toddlers..... The owners were so hopeful and always there to offer advise on beaches, towns and even wine ha ha

I would go back in a heart beat, the only downside were the poxy flies buts what you get staying in a farm and they had amazing strips out there to get rid of them x

A very special place.

  • 5 of 5

A haven of peace and tranquility, St Quion wraps warmly around you and the cares of the world slip away as you relax into your break. Le Ferme is ancient and solid – its imposing permanence draws admiring glances from hikers and cyclists passing along the far side of the River Blavet just across the meadow. The farm owners, Martine and Gildas, have provided ‘all mod cons’ and as guests you are warmly welcomed into this most comfortable and well equipped house. As a family we first visited about twelve years ago and even though our children are now grown up, they still love to be there with us on our regular visits as it holds a special place in our hearts. Le Ferme is ideally situated for exploring southern Brittany with its spectacularly quiet sandy beaches, coastal walks, waymarked forests and picturesque historic towns and villages. Nearby daily markets offer the freshest of produce for self-catering, but if you can’t be bothered there are dining options from creperies to Michelin starred restaurants all close by.
