An original Morzinois home that has been recently renovated, creating a contemporary, stylish chalet for both ski and summer holidays. With 5 bedrooms, split over 3 levels. Chalet Hector sleeps up to 10 people and is a perfect base for two families or mixed groups. Great views and a sunny balcony plus additional sundeck, facing towards the Pleney ski slopes. The tastefully furnished, open plan living area, complete with wood burning stove, is a light, convivial space for post ski relaxation. Keen cooks will relish the large, modern kitchen with its range cooker and all other mod cons. Located in the beautiful Vallee de La Manche in Morzine, the chalet is 1km from the nearest ski lift, and just 3 minutes drive into Morzine village. The free ski bus stops just 30m from the chalet and gives access to the extensive Morzine and Avoriaz lift systems, in the Portes du Soleil.

Notes on accommodation: There is a wood burning stove and wood is provided.A large balcony and sundeck are suntraps in the winter and summer. The property is also near some lovely walks along the River Dranse either into town or off into the mountains. Outside: Balcony and sundeck with BBQ for summer living. Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included. The property is cleaned weekly on changeover day and clients are expected to leave the property as they find it. The property is advertised as self-catered but we can offer a catered food service. Contact us for details. Other: Garage for safe storage of skis/boards/bikes.

Our stay at Chalet Hector

We've just returned from our week at Chalet Hector; we holidayed in Morzine for Christmas and I can't overstate how wonderful our stay was! The chalet itself is great for 8 persons, well presented with everything we needed. The resort team (Jude, Tracey and Naomi) could not have been more helpful and made sure we were well looked after. They organised our lift passes and through their web site we booked our ski equipment which was delivered to the chalet the day we arrived and collected just after our departure - no queuing or visiting shops!!

We took our two dogs with us and as a massive bonus we discovered on arrival that there is a long trail directly opposite the chalet that takes you down into the town (in one direction) and up into the hills (in the other). There is a mountain stream between the trail and the road which the dogs couldn't cross so every morning and evening we were able to take the dogs for a lovely long 'off-the-lead' walk - brilliant! (the trail is accessed across a foot-bridge)

Bear in mind though that we stayed during the winter season so there wasn't any livestock in the fields (just snow - and we have two huskies). Come the summer, the walk might not be so good for those with dogs with a strong prey drive! For those with dogs not bothered with livestock, it would be fantastic in the summer.

Lovely chalet - reasonably priced

We had a great stay in chalet Hector. It was ideal for our group's needs. Although out of town, it was so close to the bus stop so very little carrying of skis was required. Nice spacious living area and comfortable bedrooms.

Chalet Hector - the best

Had a great family holiday staying at Chalet Hector. Super chalet, really clean and well managed by Jude. A fab time had by all. Morzine is absolutely lovely - super for kiddies with the indoor pool and of course fab for skiing too for all abilities. The chalet is really well placed. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again soon!

Special interest holidays:

Biking - both road and mountain biking is extremely popular. The ski lifts convert to lifts that take bikes up the mountains. The Tour de France returns to Morzine on the 11th - 13th July.

Ski runs become beautiful summer meadows filled with wild flowers and later in the autumn offer up fantastic foraging opportunities with mrytles, mushrooms, wild raspberries and strawberries to be found!


The lakeside beaches of Lake Geneva are only 40 minutes away. Thonon Le Bain has outdoor pools, and the lake itself offers a range of summer activities.


Geneva airport (Easyjet and many airlines) is 1 hour 10 mins drive away. Transport to and from the airport is plentiful.


The chalet is located just 50m from the free ski bus stop, running regularly to all the lifts in the Valley and into Morzine town centre, a brief 3 min drive away. The nearest ski lift is 1km down the road, accessing straight into the Portes du Soleil ski region. Other key towns like Evian and Thonon on Lake Geneva are only a 40 min drive away.

Further Details:

Morzine town is a lively centre featuring many bars and restaurants serving local Savoyard and international food and wine. There is a regular Wednesday morning market all year round and there are 3 supermarkets within the town itself. Ski equipment and outdoor activity hire shops are abundant.
