The Bowering is a recently completed collection of four luxury boutique apartments. We were awarded our National Quality 4 star Gold star rating in October. We are located in the centre of Windermere village, 5 minutes walk from the high street where our guests will find a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Bowness and the lake itself is a 15min walk down the hill from the village. We were proud to receive an award from the Windermere and Bowness Civic Society for "A Noteworthy contribution to the visual amenity of the village" for the project. The interiors have all been uniquely designed to give each apartment a different feel. There is a communal bbq at the rear of the property with its very own stream running along side.

Rothay is our 1st floor apartment. it has three double bed rooms. The main bathroom has a large L shaped bath and shower, and is fitted with top end sanitaryware and finished in Honed Lake District slate floor with underfloor heating. The masterbed has an ensuite with a large shower. The lounge has a 42" plasma tv with DVD player and ipod docking station and free wireless internet. The open plan kitchen and dining area has a juliette balcony with french doors overlooking the stream. Each kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, induction hob and a washer/drier.

Windermere lake is a 2 minute car drive or a 15 minute walk from the apartments.
Manchester airport is the nearest major airport 89 miles away. If you are driving junction 36 is 12 miles from the property. Windermere railway station is the nearest train station 0.5 miles from the property. If you wish to stay close to Windermere and Bowness a car is not necessary as everything is within walking distance. Should you wish to explore further afield - Hawkes Head, Grasmere, Kendal we would recommend hiring a car.
The Bowering is a 5 min walk from Windermere village, where you will find a large number of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. There is also a large supermarket, chemist and several cash points. It is a 15 min walk down the hill to Bowness where you will find an even wider choice of pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes. Bowness also has its own cinema and the popular Beatrix Potter visiting centre. Bowness is on the Lake, so you can jump on the ferry, hire boats or even try a spot of kayaking.
We offer a concierge service on our website, where we can book you into a variety of the finest restaurants in Windermere. We can also arrange a host of activities for you whether you fancy a game of golf or some sailing. For our more adventurous guests there is also a high wire forest adventure at GoApe in the grizedale forest (12 miles away) or an off road adventure with Kanku.
- Booking Notes:
To secure a booking we require a 20% deposit which is non refundable, full payment and a £100 "Good Housekeeping" deposit (which is refundable after your stay) is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival. Payment can be made by Bacs, cheque or credit/ debit card. The "Good Housekeeping" deposit covers any additional cleaning costs. Any breakages or damage is charged in addition to this. Preferred change over day is Friday but this is flexible. Please contact myself to discuss. The apartments are available from 3pm on the day of your arrival and must be vacated by 10am on your departure date.

- Notes on accommodation: We have a travel cot and highchair in each apartment. Outside: Each apartment has its own parking space to the rear of the property there is also one guest parking space. Leven has its own patio area out of the french doors. There is a communal BBQ area to the back of the property with two seating areas, a lower level slate flagged area and a raised decked area. The space is fully planted and is situated with the stream running around it. The BBQ, table and seating is kept in the bike store also to the rear of the property. There is a large park across the road from us with swings for the children and tennis courts, bowling green etc.
