Detached 3 Bedrooms 2 Bathrooms, on one level, off street parking

The Stable at Buddle Place is a detached stone built converted Victorian Stable/Coach House on one level. It is situated behind stone walls in the grounds of a Grade II Listed Building. It has recently been renovated to a high standard & has a spacious contemporary feel to it. It is located at the southern most tip of the Isle of Wight and has a south facing sheltered garden with views to the sea.

About Jay

I was born in Cowes to a family of Dentist's & Sailor's! I have lived on the south side of the Isle of Wight for the last 20 years. It's a beautiful place to live as I love the outdoor life, my hobbies include, fishing, foraging, fossilling, gardening, walking & growing vegetables. My children have grown up & fledged the nest, so it's my husband, me & our miniature schnauzer!

Nearest Airport : Southampton at 41 Miles Nearest Barpub : The Buddle Inn at 200 Metres Nearest Ferry : Fishbourne or East Cowes at 13 Miles Nearest Beach : Steephill Cove at 3 Miles

Coast/Beach:

Castlehaven beach can only accessed at low tide over the rocks, about 8 minutes on foot. Beach Café for drinks & light snacks. A 10 minute drive to Steephill Cove with a safe sandy bay with rock pools. No access to the beach by car, various Café's & Seafood Restaurant. Ventnor, a short distance from Steephill also has a sandy beach. Compton Bay is 20 minutes by car, sandy & perfect for body boarding.

Travel:

To reach the Isle of Wight you must take the car ferry from one of the following:

Wightlink: :Portsmouth to Fishbourne (40mins)

Lymington to Yarmouth (40mins)

Redfunnel: Southampton to East Cowes (60mins)

Distances:

A 15 minutes walk(more with children) will take you to the village of Niton. Ventnor & Steephill Cove is 10 minutes by car. Organised fossil walks at Yaverland 25 minutes by car & Compton Bay 20 minutes by car. Osborne House at East Cowes 30 minutes by car. Carisbrooke Castle 15 minutes by car.

Further Details:

Local shops can found in the village of Niton, Norris family grocery is very well stocked & has a cashpoint. Nearest petrol station is in Whitwell, about 5 minutes by car. Ventnor has many restaurants & a telephone directory is in the house.

  • Notes on accommodation: The Stable is on one level, perfect for families & for those with mobility problems. The driveway is not suitable for low sprung cars Outside: The garden is private with south facing views to the English Channel with some Mediterranean planting & Natural Sandstone Stone outcrops. There is a lawn area where children can play. On the patio is a seating area. In the garden shed is the BBQ, deckchairs & rotary line. Secured Parking for one car, this is shared with The Barn. Further parking is available just outside the gates. Utility Room: This is located in the garage with large sink for washing wet-suits, tumble dryer & hanging rail. Storage for bikes & boards. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels & linen are included, the property is cleaned weekly, as are the linen & towels. Travel cot & highchair are also included.
