La Casa de Aguila The House of the Eagle. Stunning, private and spacious Villa with amazing views of Gibraltar and even the snow capped Atlas mountains on a clear day. The villa offers a quiet retreat from the rushing pace of the Costa del Sol but is in easy reach of the bright lights of Puerto Banus, Marbella and the Soto Grande area. With four double/twin rooms with en suite bath rooms the villa can comfortably sleep 8 and has all the modern facilities you would expect including a private solar heated swimming pool. All bedrooms and living rooms have ceiling fans. A car is essential (easily hired at the airport) as the Villa is situated in the countryside up a winding and in some places steep concrete/dirt road. It is at the top of a wooded valley with a small scattering of other villas around. This makes the villa ideal for those who like to take life at their own pace and make their own entertainment yet have all the amenities of the Costa del Sol on their doorstep.

Why David Barow chose Casares

The house was built by my Father in 1990 and is now owned by myself and my two sisters. We all have children between 8 and 24 and really enjoy family holidays at the Villa with our friends. It is a place to quickly unwind away from the rush of real life elsewhere. The isolation and quietness of the property are its real winners but near enough to good restaurants, beaches, golf courses or the night life of Puerto Banus and Marbella if you so want.

Notes on accommodation: Wifi is available Outside: Adjacent to the villa is a solar heated pool with cover. Surrounding pool is a terrace and fully irrigated garden which is maintained by a gardener. Under the veranda between the the pool and kitchen there is ample room for dining and admiring the views as the evening sun sets. Beside the house there is a lower terrace away from the pool. On the drive side of the house there is ample parking and a car port. Utility Room: Ironing board and iron under stairs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linens are provided and the property is thoroughly cleaned with towels, linen etc changed over before every arrival. Beach/swimming towels are also provided. Other: Outside covered veranda with table and chairs for relaxed outside dining. Ample sun loungers and lower terrace away from pool if required. Outside WC so wet feet are not traipsed through the villa.

Airports - approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Malaga Airport 80km and 55 minutes from Gibraltar Airport 40km.

La Casa De Aguila is situated in El Jaral a steep unspoilt pine grove just outside Casares village in Southern Spain. It commands magnificent views in all directions. To the south is a stunning view down the valley to the sea, Gibraltar and Morocco beyond. On clear days the Atlas mountains can be seen. To the north and west are the mountain views of the Sierra Crestellina and Sierra Bermeja, whilst to the East is the Mediterranean and Estepona. 14km inland from the sea.

Casares - The town was settled by the Romans and is one of Spain’s famous white villages, perched high on a cliff in the hills above the coast. This is a rural part of Spain with rugged hills and mountains and large areas of unspoilt national park. Which is likely to stay this way with a ban on all future out of town developments around the town of Casares. The town offers rural restaurants and shopping only for basic needs.
