A spacious and comfortable apartment with everything as described.

The apartment is located in the centre of town so there is traffic and construction noise. However we enjoyed having all the amenities easily accessible including a fantastic beach to walk to.

The balcony was a great place to relax and dine and watch the world, especially the nesting storks on nearby chimneys.

We would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to enjoy the western Algarve.

Our stay in Lagos was made extra special by this amazing appartment - it needs to be expereinced.

From the initial booking and conversations we had with Colin and the management team we were assured that this apartment would meet our requirements. We were not disappointed! We have stayed in Portugal four times over the last 10 years - this accommodation was by far the most luxurious. Well positioned for access to the town and beach, the apartment was a short and easy walk for all amenities. Hiring a car from Europcar was a stone's throw away and enabled us to see more of the Algarve but venturing out on a local TukTuk and boat was both informative and enjoyable. Excellent local restaurants are in abundance and the local café Fresco on the ground floor of the apartment was superb producing a tasty Sangria jug to small bites for lunch, breakfast and freshly prepared juices. If you are looking for a taxi back to Faro airport, don't bother - be brave , take the train to Faro and get a taxi from the station to the airport - 25euros instead of 80euros for two!

We have no doubt you will enjoy Lagos but staying in this apartment will cement a really positive expereince !

Four guys, a week of golf, in an excellent apartment.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay in the apartment, really good situation for access to the town and supermarkets.

On site facilities good with both indoor and outside pool, we had the place to ourselves (end of April).

The apartment was lacking nothing, also the barbecue was a good asset.

Balconies on three sides meant you could always relax in the sun should you wish to.

Having the use of the under ground garage was another plus point.

The only criticism was that there was a charge for the wifi when the advert for the property states "free wifi".

We will be interested in returning again next year.

I stayed at apt Metis in June - the apartment was excellent, clean and furnished to a very high standard. The information I got about the apartment was full of info and very useful. The management company are great too.

The apartment is well equipt with everything you would possibly need. Free wifi and the BBQ was also a great added bonus.

I would highly recommend this apt and the booking progress was great too and answered any questions I had.

I will def be returning soon

The reason I decided to buy this penthouse apartment is because of its spacious outdoor living space, it has balconies to 3 sides of the apartment, all round views, sun all day long but also a shaded area, which is the only one with a walk around balcony to 3 sides. Also the location of the penthouse is ideal, all the amenities are within a few minutes walk.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary


10 minute walk away to the large, clean Lagos Beach with plenty of activities to do.


Faro airport is a 50 minute drive away.

Car hire is not essential as the penthouse is located in Lagos Town.


Beach 10 minute walk. Lagos town 600m. Local shops/mini market 50m, Supermarket 400m. Restaurant 600m. Private Hospital 1km. Praia da Luz 5km. New race track 15 minutes away by car.

Further Details:

Lagos has a much historical feel to it and boasts in history. The waterfront has an amazing fort and the old town is surrounded by the old town wall. The marina has much to offer with lots of boat cruises, from seeing the dolphins or taking a trip to the grotto's. For families it also has a water park close by and the Zoo. The town has plenty of things to do, from fine dining to a relaxing coffee on the marina front to watch time go by.
