Overall we had a great stay in the cottage. It was cosy and beautifully presented. My husband is 6ft 2 and found the bathroom a bit of a squeeze and the stairs could be a challenge for some people but this is made clear before departure you go. We loved the bedroom and the luxury of TV in bed! Very good central location.

We really enjoyed the cottage it was in a great place and had everything we needed except wifi.

The stairs were steep as expected and we soon got used to them. The kitchen was well equipped, took is a while to find the switch for the extractor. The toilet and shower were compact and the cistern noisy which did not bother us but might annoy next door! The bed was comfy and I was pleased to see a mirror with a light ! The bedroom was well equipped. The hearing was on Which we did not need.Ovetall a lovely cosy cottage close to everything

Fully equipped, clean and tidy old Cottage in the restaurant, pub, shopping part of East Looe & Beach.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our six day stay in Looe using it as a base. The Eden project is not far away in car, walked to Polperro on a glorious sunny late September day. See a deep blue and turquoise in the shadows. Went on boat trip to Polperro, glorious day and a beautiful coastal town. Went a boat trip up the river again in glorious sunshine. Lots of wildlife.

The cottage is small but has everything you need and is clean and well maintained with bags of character. The stairs are not for the very old and the bathroom is tiny but we knew this. Plenty of different places to dine in the evening. All in all we had a great holiday.

Excellent location

  • 5 of 5

This is a very well equipped property for 2 people including all appliances and tv in sitting area and bedroom. You can be self sufficient. It is also right in the centre of looe - ideal for exploring and eating - minutes from the beach. It was excellent and we would certainly return.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your comments - we would love to welcome you back at Birds Nest. (In response to a previous review - the tumble dryer has now been fixed! We do have access to a door-to-door laundry service so, in the unlikely event this happens again, we can help with guest's laundry needs).

Well equipped cottage in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

Very quaint, nicely decorated cottage with well equipped kitchen, lovely bed linen and towels. Excellent location, near to beach, restaurants, pubs and shops.

Couple of minor niggles were that there was no ice maker in fridge, there was a note on the washing machine/tumble dryer to say tumble dryer did not work and as there was no outside space, it would have been difficult to dry clothes. The outside had a window box and a couple of plant pots with dead plants/weeds which did not give a good first impression.

The stairs are very steep and are not suitable for anyone with any mobility problems, especially as shower room/toilet on lower floor to bedroom.

Overall, we had a lovely time staying in centre of Looe and enjoyed our stay in Birds Nest Cottage,
