Apartment in Ilfracombe, North Devon, England - On the Edge of the Water, Close to Ilfracombe Harbour

The property has two double and one single bedrooms, a family bathroom and en-suite shower room. The apartment is located on the first floor just off Ilfracombe harbour area. The open plan living area benefits from breathtaking sea views and includes kitchen, lounge and dining area with balcony overlooking the ocean. Property is on 1st floor with stairs or lift access. Parking permit provided in peak season for Harbour car park but loading and unloading possible outside property.

About Jeremy Warner

We are a Midlands based couple who love the ocean and we bring our 3 young children to the seaside as often as possible to enjoy surfing, kayaking and being out and about in that fresh sea air. There is something about the light and air by the coast that you never experience inland.

Whether we come as a family or with friends each trip to the working harbour of Ilfracombe is always an adventure in its own right. There is nothing better than being outside in the healthy sea air enjoying quality time with your children. We are not sure whom enjoys it the most, the adults or the kids!

Why Jeremy Warner chose North Devon

It is quite surreal that you can be sitting in the lounge watching TV whilst at the same time there can be huge waves appearing to roll towards you. The lounge windows are glass from floor to the ceiling and the closeness to the sea presents a dynamic visual which can also be enjoyed from the balcony. You can obviously venture outside of the apartment for fresh air but the balcony means that you don't have to !!

This unique location means that you are also 100 metres from the harbour beach. You don't have to drive anywhere if you don't want to. There are restaurants and pubs and shops within the harbour.

10 minutes in a car and you can be on Woolacombe Beach, which is just unbeatable in our opinion.

What makes this apartment unique

A 10 minute walk up Capstone Hill and you can see over Ilfracombe and to Lundy Island on a clear day. A 25-30 minute walk up Hillsborough and you can see across to Wales ! Amazing view points not far from your front door. The coastal walk to Woolacombe offers opportunities for seal spotting and bird watching.

If the weather is fair or even better than enjoy the best of the British seaside. If it isn't good then enjoy the dramatic views from the apartment and get cosy. Action or rest and relaxation or both! It's up to you.

This really is an Ocean View

Just had a perfect long weekend at this property. The weather was fantastic which just improved things even more. The owners were more than helpful & obliging with our requirements upon booking. We were met promptly by the property manager who offered good local info & a cream tea ! The apartment was clean, spacious & had all the facilities we required. Wi fi would have been an added bonus, but in truth we didn't really miss it. The view from the apartment just has to be seen to be believed - stunning. Thank you.

Located on the edge of the ocean and within a couple minutes walk of the harbour and the seafront. Woolacombes 3 mile stretch of golden sands is a 10 minute drive. Croyde and Saunton also accessible by car.


Nearest airport is Exeter. Nearest rail station at Barnstaple. Ilfracombe coach station 3 minutes walk from property.


Located in the popular seaside resort of Ilfracombe with all its amenities. Woolacombe is 10 minute drive and North Devon's other popular seaside resorts and Exmoor National park all accessible by car. Ilfracombe is on the Heritage Coastal path and an ideal destination for walking as well as seaside pursuits.

Further Details:

Ilfracombes restaurants and shops within easy walking distance (not all open in the winter season). Supermarkets include Co-Op and Lidl in the town and Tesco out of town. Banks, pharmacy located on the high street (10 minute walk). landmark Theatre 5 minutes walk.
