Charming Self Catering Ski in Chalet -

Attractive chalet sleeping 10/12 in delightful hamlet of Le Raffort. Only 4 minutes walk from Olympic Gondola to centre of Meribel in heart of 3 valleys. Yet for nightlife loving teenagers only 15 minutes walk downhill too from main nightclub. Wonderful open fire in attractive sitting room and guests can ski back for most of the season. The three valleys always has good accessible as well as challenging skiing even in poor natural snow conditions and has vast selection of wonderful mountain restaurants. Gorgeous log fire and compact but very well equipped kitchen with two dishwashers.
Sofabed downstairs for extra guests. There is underfloor heating on the ground floor so all footwear dries out and plenty of hot water . Ski locker outside . In the Spring, the first floor balcony is a charming suntrap. Afternoon off skiing ? - read a book and look up to gorgeous mountains around.

Old guys skiing weekend

We were a group of 5 mature gents on a 5 day trip to Meribel. Chalet La Forge was a great choice for us as we each like our own bedroom and. There was ample space in the chalet and the facilities were veey good. Le Raffort village was easily accessible by car and the bus service and lift into Meribel Centre worked really well.

Our best family holiday yet!

We had an amazing time in Ann’s chalet. It was the perfect location for us. Really easy to get to the slopes and also super easy to get in and out of the centre in the evening. We had 9 adults and 1 child staying, which we found just the right amount of the chalet size. When we arrived, the cleaner was still there from the previous guests. Ann let us leave our luggage there whilst we explored Meribel before check-in. The chalet had everything we needed and more. We would highly recommend. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! 5*

New Year at Le Raffort

Ann, the property owner was incredibly helpful at all times prior to us arriving at the chalet. She answered any queries very quickly regarding the chalet, and the customer service we experienced whilst staying at her chalet was first class. All the previous reviews were very accurate and helped us plan our stay there. The house works very well for a large group and there was enough hot water in the mornings and evenings. We had no technical problems with the house at all and we found the kitchen to be incredibly well stocked with utensils and appliances We walked to the ski lift and caught the bubble up to Maribel center every day, and despite the rest of the Alps suffering, terrible snow conditions we found good snow, and great skiing conditions every day. Le Raffort is a very quiet hamlet, and there are no shops. Having a car was more or less essential when trying to feed nine of us in the chalet! I would not hesitate to book again!

Fantastic chalet

This is a great chalet in fab location. We were a group of 11 people over 3 families and it worked well. Kitchen very well equipped, beds very comfortable and chalet was clean. Ann was a great host who gave us lots of information. Definitely recommend.

We are a family with 4 children now aged 24 - 34 and one dog having had sundry other animals over the years but soon to be joined by a Third grandchild. We have a DIY livery yard in the Home Counties.

We have had the chalet for 14 years and go in the Winter and Summer. as it is a great family holiday destination.

Why they chose this property

We bought the property when our children (two girls and two boys) were 9, 16, 18 and 19. We all love skiing and it is a brilliant way of keeping the family together (note the gap between the youngest and the other three) - It is a proper village with farmers and locals living in it yet the access to the main meribel resort is very easy. You can ski back to the door along a pretty route through the trees for most of the season.

The alps are gorgeous in summer and we love going there to walk and play golf as well as the children in the past doing canyoning, white water rafting and all manner of daring things down/up mountains.

What makes this property unique

It is very easy to get to with good parking - the wonderful boulangerie is 5 minutes drive and opens very
early and there is a great french restaurant 4 minutes walk away open in the summer too . It is 4 minutes walk from the gondola which takes you direct to the central lift station and access to everywhere in the Three Valleys. Also only 15 minutes walk downhill from the main nightclub in Meribel yet without the noise and hassle of living in the centre of the resort. Much of the year ski back through lovely tree lined route direct to the chalet. This year there is a small new restaurant opening in the village one minute walk away

The village is very pretty and there is wonderful walking directly from it. No need to get in the car. The golf course is stunning - one of the best and the back 9 have been refurbished.
