Superb new spacious apartment furnished to a very high standard,on 1st floor,lift available. Air-conditioning.3 bedrooms with en-suite,main,bathroom with shower/bidet/toilet + separate toilet. Pull out sofa bed if required. Wifi around the Communal pool. Private balconies. Please note, this is a no smoking apartment. Smoking only to be on balcony. Many extras ie. Music, DVDs, satelite channels, books/magazines, electric and charcoal barbecues also outside furniture on balconies sunbed mattress's and inflatables for the pool. Supermarkets are 5 mins+Atm and local bars/restaurants ,and ,Benamor Golf Club. Boat trips to spot the dolphins or fishing trips,or bike hire are also available on the front of Cabanas.

Why Mrs Sharon Smith chose Conceição

This location in the Eastern Algarve is not commercialised so offers peace and tranquility. The slow relaxed pace of life is ideal to lose yourself from everyday troubles.There is a large shopping complex in Tavira for food,fashion and furniture aswell as everything else you may possibly need. Cabanas,has atm,s,cycle hire and restaurants in abundance which serve you fish,tapas,steaks or pizzas,You choose!!The bars are never full and greet you with open arms,there is also a sports bar on Cabanas front which offers 5 tv screens showing football ,cricket etc with a pool table for the younger members of the family with internet facilities too help you stay in touch with friends.

What makes this apartment unique

Tavira is a beautiful small retired tuna fishing port, with a river splitting it in two with a roman bridge connecting the two sides. The fish restaurants are excellent and reasonable, the cafes and bars make great people watching and the golf course of Benamor is 10 mins walk away. The beaches of Cabanas and Tavira are 11km long, the golden sand stretches out into the Atlantic with lovely fish restaurants looking out to the sea. The unique way you get to the beach is quite something as you board a boat which takes you across the river to the beach. The apartment is very hi-spec with comfortable leather sofas and a large balcony to relax,and catch the last rays of sun. The pool is to the back of the apartment, with beds and a very safe environment for children as this area is enclosed.

Notes on accommodation: Smoking is not allowed within the apartment (please respect these wishes), when leaving the apartment for the day please ensure all air-con units are off and windows closed. Outside: Apartment has a balcony to main bedroom. Large balcony with nice patio furniture leading from living room. Shared good sized pool to back of apartment with sunbeds and parosols, showers and toilets, Access is with a key fob,there is a self lock gate for child security.When leaving pool area, please ensure the gate is closed and clear any litter, bottles etc in bins provided. Please respect these rules. Cleaning /Bath Towels / : and linen provided. Cleaning to be maintained by guests during their stay.If arriving late a welcome pack is advised at an extra cost of 30 euros. If a linen change is required during your stay a charge of 30euro is to be applied. Please also wipe down daily the kitchen tops and sweep the floor for dropped food ect to discourage any ants.

Lovely relaxing holiday in a lovely relaxing area

This apartment has absolutely everything one might need for a family holiday. We were travelling with an 8 month old baby and were happy to find out that there was a travel cot and a high chair available in the apartment as it saved a lot of space in our luggage.

The property was exactly as described although I didn't think the photos did it justice. It was really nicely decorated and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. There were loads of extra little things in the utility room and in the side board as well which was a nice touch. We kept finding things like decent dvds, books and water toys.

The area itself is very quiet. So it's the perfect place to relax. But the shops and restaurants aren't too far away. The beach is a lovely day out as it involves taking a ferry across the river. We were able to just carry the pram (stroller) on to the boat with the baby inside. No hassle at all. It's a lovely sandy beach that seems to go on forever.

We recommend dining in the Vert In cafe round the corner from the apartments. They have an EXCELLENT menu, great service and occasionally some live entertainment. It's not too far from the apartment so were we there quite a lot!

I would definitely recommend this apartment as a base.

We have just come back from a lovely week in the SUN. Thank you Kevan, We only looked at the apartment over the internet and there was 4 generations of us staying from 13yrs old to 92years old. Space was NOT a problem in the apartment, plenty of room for us all. Apartment was very clean and tidy when we arrived, kitchen had ample utensils to use during our stay, supermarket was 10 mins walk, local shops and bars and resteraunts were again 10 - 15 mins walk for a 92 year old, So close. Pool area was great, pool nice and warm.. Beach at Tavira was really nice aswell, all in all will definately try and return as had such a relaxing holiday, local people very friendly.

We stayed in this apartment from 22nd May - 29th May 2015, Owner arranged our transfers and they were there on time, we had only seen pictures of apartment on the internet and obviously didnt know what to expect when we got there, apartment is a lot bigger than what you think, there was 4 generations of family staying from 13yrs to 92yrs of age, all had there own space!!, Pool area was great, only another couple of families staying to share pool with, shops and bars / resteraunts are within walking distance for a 92year old lady, so very close.. Cabanas is like going back in time, but really nice and friendly people.. Balconies are big enough to sit out on, on an evening.. Beach at Travira is really nice too, and only a short boat ride away, train station which is cheap as is only about 5 mins away from apartment, my father in law went of most days exploring.. Will definately go back and stay, well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic apartment

Tha apartment was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Tastefully decorated Lots of space and home comforts. Local pharmacy, coffee shop, ice cream cafe and small supermarket. The beach is gorgeous and such a lovely way to get there on a taxi boat. Lots of bars and places to eat but no sign of the drunken british tourists we like to avoid on holiday. This place is truly a little gem in the algarve. I left a little bit of me there and will definately return ASAP.

A lovely place to relax and explore

A lovely apartment, very clean and with everything we needed to relax. Pool area was great with wifi available. A small supermarket close by for all the basics and only a 5-10 min drive to larger ones in Tavira. Cabanas was very relaxed, some good places to eat, Tavira well worth a visit for the same reason. The beach at Cabanas is amazing, reached by little ferry and then 7km of sand, very clean. All in all this was a great place to stay and Kevan and his management team were very friendly.

I really enjoyed staying in this apartment - the decoration is lovely and the rooms are all great. We loved everything about the apartment, not to mention the wonderful pool área.

The owner Kevan was very nice and helpful. I totally recomend it.

Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

Great base for golfers, walkers or ornithology enthusiasts and of course beach lovers.


Beach is approximately 3 min by car or 10 min walk. You reach the beach by boat which takes you over the estuary, costs approx 1 euro and takes 3 mins. You are then greeted by 11km of golden sands and beach restaurants. You are returned by boat as soon as you re-appear on the jetty.


Faro is 30 minutes drive on motorway. Car hire is recommended although at a cost a pick-up and return service can be arranged.

The journey is very straight forward, head for Spain and you will pick up the sign for Tavira, then Cabanas.


Spain is 30 min drive away with the beautiful city of Seville approx 1 hour. Albufeira is approximately 1 hour drive. There are many many of miles of beaches and towns to visit all along the Eastern Algarve coastline.

Tavira, known by the Portuguese as their "Little Venice",is 20,boat trips min walk or 10mins by car,restaurants,shops,cobbled streets and places of interest ie Castle,roman bridge etc.Boat trips to Isle de Tavira a must!!

Further Details:

Cabanas is relatively undisturbed commercially, prices are cheap for drinks and food,ATM,S,bike rentals and boat and fishing trips are available. Tavira is split by the river, which is joined by 2 bridges, one of which is Roman. In the summer months there are many festivals of music, restaurants are in abundance (fish speciality).

Portuguese bars can be discovered at every turn and you will be greeted by a smile.
