Villa in Cala d'Or, Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Wonderful Views, Right On the Beach

Our villa sits right on the Calo d'es Pou cove, with stunning views. It is a beautiful 3 storey villa, with 7 bedrooms which accommodates up to 15 adults and 6 bathrooms. It has terraces in all three levels where you will enjoy the sun, the beach and the sea in full. The villa has an 8,000 square feet garden with palm trees, rosebay plants, frangipani, and a private swimming pool. It also has an open air big barbecue in the garden, next to the pool. The villa is 15 minutes walk away from the Cala d'Or Marina, with plenty of restaurants and shops. There are tennis and paddle tennis facilities 3 minutes away. Besides, there is golf available in Vall d'Or, in the way to Porto Colom (around 20 minutes away from Cala d'Or).

About Eduardo

We are a family with 4 children and have been summering in Cala d'Or since 2000. We love the weather, the coves, the clean waters, the food and the surrondings. We rent the house during the year but in August, which we reserve for our family.

We bought the property because its location (right on the beach), its stunning sea views, its design (white, simple, clean, full of open air spaces in the terraces), its beautiful garden and its nice swimming pool.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The villa has central heating. The top three bedrooms have air-conditioning as well. Outside: The villa sits in an 8,000 square feet private garden with palm trees, pines, cypress, frangipani, rosebay plants and a private swimming pool, which has three stairs into the water and a maximum depth of around 2 meters. Utility Room: Washing machine and dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bathroom towels and linen are included. The gardener is there at least once a week, if no more, to service the pool and keep the garden in perfect shape. The villa is cleaned in full every week. Other: There is WI-FI all across the villa and garden. There is a round table in the dining room which accommodates 8/10 people, plus an outside teak table in the terrace which sits 8 people.

Excellent for a family sojourn

The villa is very well suited to accommodate 14 people and a baby. The pool was kept in excellent shape throughout our stay and with pool lighting on, evenings in the garden were magical. The multiple balconies are spacious and easily accommodated full family lunches and dinners with all sitting together, as well as late evening parties in the couches. The location is truly excellent, close to beach, town, restaurants and groceries, yet retaining well a secluded feel. Parking of four cars in the street close by was no problem.

The owner's representative was supremely responsive to any request, practical and highly effective.

For the heat sensitive, the three bedrooms on the upper floor have air conditioning, while the three bedrooms on the ground floor have ceiling fans. We did not use the single bed in the seventh bedroom on the middle floor as it also contained the washing machine. This proved unnecessary as a cot was kindly prepared and ready for the baby upon our arrival.

All in all a very pleasant, recommmendable experience.

Location

Coast/Beach:

The villa is right on a small beach, a cove called Calo d'es Pou which is very nice, with palm trees, sunbeds and a little beach club.

Travel:

Closest airport is Palma de Mallorca, which is 45 minutes away by car from Cala d'Or. There is cab rank 2 minutes away from the villa.

Distances:

The villa is in Es Forti, Cala d'Or and is 15 minutes walk from the Cala d'Or Marina (or 5 minutes by car).

Further Details:

Cala D'Or village has many restaurants and shops to suit every taste. There is a large supermarket and several small ones and many giftshops and boutiques. The marina of Cala D'Or has been tastefully developed with good restaurants, bars and shops with luxury yachts providing slendid views whilst dinning. Boats can be hired. A big weekly market is held in Felanitx where handbags, linen etc...can be purchased.
