Villa Divine Wind is a new Spanish style villa set in the mountains of Monte Pedreguer with breathtaking sea and country views. Situated within an easy a twenty minute drive from popular beaches in Javea or excellent shopping in the port of Denia, the location offers something for all ages and tastes. As its name suggests, the property is in a very quiet position near the Montgo National Park and is an easy 50 minute drive on the A7 from either Alicante or Valencia airports. An 18 hole golf course and spa can be found at the 5 star Marriot with horse riding and tennis nearby. Lots of fun can be had at Benidorm's water and theme parks which is a 25 minute drive or twsry the Zoo at Pego. Alternatively visits to hill top towns or tiny fishing villages offers a taste of the traditional Spain. Ibiza and the Balearic Islands are a 2 hour ferry ride from the port of Denia. Why dave owen chose Pedreguer

We bought this villa because it has the best views - 360 degrees of mountain and sea views on a clear day. IBela can be seen, it is at the very top of Mount Pedreguer and commands the outstandingly breathtaking scenery. Where the villa divine wind boundary finishes the mountain starts, with outstanding walks, over the mountains and through olive and almond groves.

What makes this villa unique

There are fantastic golden beaches a short drive from the villa - Moraira and Javea are a favourite with the children and adults alike.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Ample bedlinen is provided, as well as hand towels, bath sheets and tea towels.Please bring your own beach towels. A cot and high chair will be provided free of charge on request (please provide cot linen). Other: lounge has new wide screen tv, with dvd and blue ray,-usb conection,and satalite ,new for 2014 internet access.

Great location but needs some tlc.

Once you get to the villa(it is at the very end of a very steep road on top of a mountain) it is in a stunning location with fantastic evening views, however there were several issues with access and things not working. In all we counted a total of nine light fittings that either had no bulbs in or bulbs that weren't working. We had to remove the bulb in the fridge as it wouldn't turn off and so was making the top shelf warm and the fridge itself was getting hot as it was overworking to cool the fridge! The extractor over the oven wasn't working and the oven seal had gone, not very safe. Duvets were filthy and stained, one toilet flush didn't work etc etc etc All things that could be very easily sorted and should be frankly.

Although the listing states alarm and secure electric gate, we had no code for the alarm and the gate had to be opened and closed manually and didn't lock. Fine in itself but you shouldn't advertise otherwise.

Also, another major factor that should be listed, is that the upstairs bedroom and bathroom are only accessible via an external staircase. Not ideal for the elderly or if you want everyone sleeping in the same house at night(if you have four children for example).

In summary, it could be a lovely villa and is in a stunning and quiet location but needs some attention to bring it up to a standard that commands that price.

Owner's Response: Sorry to hear some negative comments .we have taken this on board. Generaly the comments have been excellent .we try to keep on top of the maintenance. But some guests have treated the villa with not much respect .it's difficult to keep standards when you have to rely on housekeeping to look after your interest. We change towels .bedding .and missing items everytime we make a visit to the villa .and try to make sure that future guests have a great stay .

Schöne Lage, Haus braucht Pflege und Renovierung

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt in einer sehr schönen Umgebung und Aussicht. Leider muss am Haus vieles verbessert werden. Das elektrische Tor und die Alarmanlage funktionieren nicht, Internet ist nicht zu gebrauchen(katastrophale Verbindung) und viele Liegestühle sind kaputt. Es gibt nur 5 Stühle im Aussenbereich am Esstisch. Auch ist innen für 9 Personen zu wenig Platz.

Hemos disfrutado,pero......

Siempre disfrutamos en esta propiedad, porque vamos a disfrutar y queremos disfrutar , pero quiero dejar claro una cosa , el clima , la estancia, donde está la propiedad , y como nos lo montamos toda la familia esta mas que asegurado, pero queremos decirle a Dave Owen, que tiene que actualizar mas los elementos de la Villa, no hemos tenido lavavajillas, la conexión a Internet , nefasta , sin conexión la mayor parte del tiempo, cafetera rota, las sillas blancas de exterior , todas rotas, un peligro sentarse en ellas. Creo que para lo que se paga , debería de tener todo en perfectas condiciones y no lo estaba. No obstante a poco que lo mejoren volveremos.

Buen tiempo,buena estancia, contentos

La estancia en la propiedad ha sido muy buena,esta situada en un lugar paradisiaco,y las instalaciones perfectas,solo dos cosas ,la señal de Tv es muy mala y no se ve prácticamente nada más que dos o tres Canales ,hemos tenido que comprar una antena para ver la 1 TV y poder ver los Juegos Olímpicos ,y las camas o colchones ya están bastante machacados o deteriorados del uso,tendrían que cambiarlos,porque no se descansa bien.Por lo demás merece la pena la Villa,la tendremos en cuenta para otras ocasiones.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately the TV was not working as it should .we have had tv engineers out to correct this .the last time they said that the system had been tampered with by the guests so had to be put back in order. We have now installed a no there android box which is working perfectly. We are in the process of updating and replacing .

Special interest holidays:

Two 'boot camp' style holidays run each year in March and September. Ideal for sports enthusiasts who love running/training in open countryside in warm weather.


The beaches of Denia and Javea are a 20 minute car ride away with Moraira beach 30 minutes. Most Spanish beaches have lifeguards, toilets and cafes nearby. Most have free car parking as well.


Airport: Alicante and Valencia 100km (50 min by car). Railway: Gata de Gorgos 3km. Ferry: Denia 9km.


Horse riding and tennis is available nearby at La Sella. Lots of fun can be had at Benidorm's theme parks which are a 25 minute drive or try the Zoo at Pego. Alternatively visits to hill top towns or tiny fishing villages offers a taste of the traditional Spain. Ibiza and the Balearic Islands are a 2 hour ferry ride from the port of Denia. The new Portal de la Marina boasts a smart shopping mall with cinema and bowling, and internet access is available in the mall.
