About The Owner

We moved from cold, wet England to the sunny Costa Blanca, Spain in 2004 and live about a 25 minute drive away from this apartment. This means that we are able to meet and greet you in person when you arrive and provide you with the benefit of our expert knowledge of the area.

As many people find air-conditioning dries out the air too much, we provide both a portable air-conditioning unit and a portable fan in the main living area so you can choose. In each bedroom there is a ceiling fan to keep you cool in the summer. The apartment has individual heaters to ensure your comfort during the winter months. A hair dryer is also provided for your use. Outside: In the gardens which are landscaped and well maintained, are paths leading to the four swimming pools available for your use. In the centre of the complex is the main pool and sunbathing area. The other three slightly smaller pools are situated around the perimeter of the complex to the East, South and West sides. If you love all day sunbathing, you can start at the East pool when the sun rises, head to the South pool during the midday sun and end up at the West pool for the end of the day. Utility Room: Separate utility room with a washing machine and space for storage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels and linen are provided, except beach towels. Separate linen is provided for each week of your stay. The property is cleaned before your arrival, additional cleaning can be arranged but a charge will apply. Other: There is a full width balcony off the lounge and master bedroom, facing west to benefit from afternoon/evening sunshine. A patio table and chairs are provided so you can sit out and relax while watching the sun go down in the evening.



Car: not necessary


The name “Costa Blanca” translates to “White coast”. The main beaches of Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca and la Zenia are all within walking distance of our apartment. Walkways have been installed providing easy access along the coastline. Cliff top walks have been provided which will allow access all the way from the busy town of Torrevieja, past the fabulous resorts of Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia and on to Cabo Roig.


The apartment is within easy reach of Alicante airport (approx 35 minutes) and Murcia airport (approx 25 minutes). With access from many UK airports and a short flight time of just over 2 hours, its not only perfect for your summer holiday but also for long weekend breaks all year round.

A car is not essential as you will find everything you need to enjoy your stay, within walking distance, including shops, bars, restaurants, beaches etc.


The apartment is within easy reach of many places on the Costa Blanca including the bustling seaside resort of Torrevieja (15 minute drive), over 15 kilometres of golden beaches at Guardamar (20 minutes).

The towns of Alicante or Murcia are perfect for a Spanish shopping experience. Heading inland will take you to many typical Spanish towns and villages (Elche, Almoradi) where you can soak up the real Spanish atmosphere and way of life.

Further Details:

Just a 5 minute walk from the apartment is the Playa Flamenca commercial centre where you will find local shops including a supermarket and a wide range of restaurants offering dishes from all over the world. There are also plenty of opportunities to try a spot of karaoke, watch a live act, catch up on the latest sport or join in a pub quiz. For those who fancy a quieter evening, a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction brings you to Punta Prima and a different selection of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy. If you prefer al fresco dining by the sea, simply stroll down to the seafront to the Nautilus bar and lap up the beautiful sea views.

Playa Flamenca holds a market every Saturday offering everything from fresh locally grown produce to clothes, bags, flowers and sweets, don’t forget to grab a freshly spit-roasted chicken while you are there, flavoured with garlic and absolutely delicious. You can also try a Spanish paella or a Spanish omelette, cooked in the traditional way, if you wish you can even watch while it is being made.

In summary, everything you could possibly want for a fantastic holiday is right here and easily accessible from our apartment at la Calma. If you don't believe us, then come out, have a look for yourself and of course, enjoy.

Booking Notes:
Bookings are managed from a secure booking page from our website for payment by credit or debit cards. A 25% deposit is required when a booking is confirmed, the balance is payable 56 days before the booking commences. A "breakage" deposit of £150 is payable with the balance payment, refundable within 5 days property following your departure.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible. Normally the apartment is available from 16:00 on the day of arrival and we ask that you depart by 11:00 on your last day. There may however be some flexibility subject to other bookings.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Included in the price is the provision of a "Welcome pack" on your arrival. Please note - We do not charge an additional amount for cleaning at the end of your stay, this is included in the price you see.

Deposit required within 24 hours, balance plus refundable security deposit 56 days before booking start date. Full booking contract made with all payments via secure booking system. Credit/Debit cards accepted for payment.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
