Fantastic villa which made for a fantastic holiday

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in this villa was excellent from start to finish.Communication was good through out the whole process. All questions were answered quickly and a comprehensive guide to the villa and surrounding areas provided.

The Villa itself was fantastic. Spotless on arrival, within 5 minutes the kids ( and adults) were in the excellent pool. We seemed to spend our time in the villa either in the pool, in the games room or sat on the terrace. For me the terrace was the real highlight looking at the stunning views. Night times were fantastic as there is very little light pollution in the town so watching the stars at night is truly stunning. With such nice weather we ate almost all our meals on the terrace.

All of the other facilities of the villa are top class, with the bbq being used many times, the automatic ice maker coming in very handy and general facilities like the cooker, showers, furniture etc being of good quality.

Outside the villa the town is small but friendly and there is a bakery and 2 small grocery stores within a 5 minute walk. This meant fresh croissants and bread daily without having to drive. Also there are some nice walks to go on. Further a field is Bezier (10 miles ) which has some beautiful buildings and worth a look. Beaches are within a 30 minute drive.

Overall we had the best holiday I can remember and cannot recommend highly enough. We definitely hope to return.

Exceptional Holiday Home

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a holiday in a beautiful corner of France in a spacious and comfortable house with everything you could possibly need to feel at home, then this is the place for you. Clean and well-maintained, Maison de Fraisse has fantastic views and excellent privacy but is still just a few minutes walk from the local bakery. Spend your days swimming in or lounging by the fantastic pool and your evenings sitting on the terrace watching the sun set over the hills and later, the stars sparkle. With 5 comfortable outdoor seating areas, guests are truly spoilt for choice and there's always somewhere to go for a bit of peace and quiet. The well equipped and well maintained games room is a fantastic bonus.

Autignac is a friendly little village and the area offers a huge variety of things to do and places to visit.

You couldn't wish for more helpful owners and I can't recommend this property highly enough.

Beautiful Languedoc Villa

  • 5 of 5

The description was accurate but the property was even better than the description. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The property was clean and well- maintained and, again the instructions for looking after the house, were very useful. The owner responded quickly to any queries.

We would certainly recommend this well-maintained villa to our friends and family and could honestly say it was the best we have stayed in in France.

We especially loved the large clean pool with surrounding surfaces of good quality (no sharp edges).

We enjoyed visits to Haute Languedoc and the coast, as well as really enjoying looking at the many artists' work in Pezenas. Our favourite beach was La Tamarassiere, near Cap D'Agde, and wecaught the little ferry to Le Grau D'Adge for a great lunch twice.

Awesome!

  • 5 of 5

We love South West France; staying in such a beautiful house and location meant we had a brilliant holiday. We all really relaxed and enjoyed the excellent amenities and exploring local villages. There are so many interesting places to visit within a short distance. What we love most about holidaying in France is having time to enjoy cooking meals, after shopping for fresh produce and fish in local markets. Maison de Fraisse was so well equipped, we loved cooking outdoors and dining on different terrasses, depending on the time of day and weather. Maison de Fraisse is a very comfortable home and extremely well equipped. We had a few questions before our holiday, Ann provided prompt helpful information and arranged for bread, cheese and wine to be available for our arrival, because shops weren't open when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The pool was great and we enjoyed playing pool and darts in the games room. We felt as if we were guests in someone's home, which was a real pleasure. We loved Maison de Fraisse and cannot wait to return. Thanks Ann and Simon for your generous hospitality!

Wonderful Holiday

  • 5 of 5

This house is exceptional. It is by far, the best equipped house we have rented for any holiday (six adults). The layout, along with the variety of outdoor eating and seating areas, gave us plenty of space when we were all together as well as the opportunity to find a quiet spot if needed - in sun or shade. Great pool.

We didn't need any games, cards, TV or other distraction in the evenings because the best entertainment we could have was watching the fabulous sunsets from the terrace and enjoying some wine under the starry skies.

Everything was clean and well maintained. A much appreciated change of linen was provided half way through our ten day stay. The village is within an easy 5 minute walk where the boulangerie is open every day for delicious bread and croissants and there is a café/bar which serves food and take away pizzas. It's not haute cuisine but very handy and good enough if you can't be bothered cooking or driving further afield to eat.

There is plenty to see and do in the area without having to drive far. We would thoroughly recommend a visit to Pézenas on a Saturday (market day); Valras Plage for a swim in the sea; the Grottes de Clamouse for spectacular stalactites and stalacmites and Saint Guilhem le Désert for a picturesque, historical village full of craft shops and eating places that do not close at 2pm.

We would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to spend a holiday in the Languedoc.

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful holiday home with stunning views over the surrounding countryside, thanks to the new addition of the wonderful veranda at the rear of the house. The owners have thought of every eventuality for holiday makers and it felt very much like a home from home. The pool is wonderful and for the time of year, we had fantastic sunny weather. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit this stunning area of Southern France. Very family friendly.
