Excellent villa, wonderful holiday

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd stay at this villa, and again it was a wonderful holiday. This villa is the perfect base for a holiday in Dalyan, a comfortable, peaceful, private and relaxed setting with lovely pool and mature gardens, but only a couple of minutes to the river, shops and excellent restaurants of Dalyan. The villa is well maintained and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday - and no car needed. Our transfers were arranged by the owner, Haci, who was a wonderful host, friendly, kind and very helpful if you want to arrange trips or need information.

Dalyan itself is a gorgeous town, beautiful scenery, wonderful people and a relaxed friendly feel. A few minutes walk gets you to the river taxis or dolmus station where a short boat trip on the river takes you to one end of the amazing beach, or a bus trip by the lake and mountain road takes you to the other end with it's turtle sanctuary. Both journeys are easy and have beautiful scenery. There are a number of other trips available, and tour companies in town offer trips further afield if you want to explore more. Kaunos is well worth a visit across the river to see the ruins, take the tractor from the riverside if it's too hot.

We would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone! We'll certainly be back!

Thank you for taking the time to write the review: it's really helpful for people looking for that ideal villa. Dalyan is a wonderful place, and as you say, the villa is secluded and peaceful, yet just minutes from the restaurants and shops. We're also delighted that you found Haci so helpful. We look forward to seeing you next year!

Villa Hurmet - Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

If you are on this webpage thinking about booking this villa, go ahead and book, then sit back and start dreaming about comfy beds, lazing by the large pool with BBQs in the lovely private gardens and finishing your wonderful days with a drink or two on the balcony overlooking the wonderful rock tombs, which are lit up at night.

The villa has a great well equipped kitchen, all ensuite bedrooms with great aircon. The garden (with hammock) is very established so there is plenty of privacy. Haci the owner (what a great guy!) of the villa is available 24/7 to help with anything. Also, with his good knowledge and contacts in the area will be your guide if required or just leave you to relax. You can get to the beach by boat or bus.

Although the villa is in a quiet location, it is less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest supermarket and the main bars/restaurants. We loved the restaurants...Ramazan Hans, Bistro Blue and The Lime to name a few.

Go on try it...start dreaming!

Our 13 night stay was without doubt relaxing and very comfortable .The owner arranged transfers and met our party on arrival to show us around the villa and explain the facilities. He was on call 24/7 which we found very reassuring.

The villa itself was extremely homely and located no more than 5 mins from shops and resteraunts in this beautiful resort.Great pool and very private!

We would recommend this villa to anybody and will return .

Wonderful villa and hosts

  • 5 of 5

This is a great villa with everything needed for a relaxing holiday, we had a wonderful 9 days. The location is perfect at less than 5 minutes walk to restaurants and shops, but back at the villa, all is tranquil, a true haven. The large mature garden is well maintained and along with the terraces offers a perfect mix of sun and shade at all times, and the large pool is great for a refreshing dip - the water treatment seems ideal too! The villa is spacious, well laid out and decorated with enough personal touches that make it feel like a home from home rather than another rental villa, although we were generally outside most of the time enjoying the wonderful weather. Seems like a small thing, but another plus is that the showers are great.

Dalyan is a lovely town; friendly people, beautiful scenery and a laid-back charm. The stunning Iztuzu beach is a quick boat or Dolmus journey away, giving a chance to enjoy the river or mountain views and turtle sanctuary.

Haci was a great help with information, arranging transfers and a couple of trips. Thank you for a lovely holiday! Hope to be back soon.

Great Villa in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

This is our 5th holiday in Dalyan - and the second time at this villa. Both Dalyan and the villa were perfect, with everything you would expect from a great property in a lovely, quiet location. It may only be less than a 5 minute walk from the main bar / restaurant / supermarket area - but it is quiet both during the day and at night. Perhaps there are other 3 bed villas that cost a little less to hire - but it is not until you have tried some that you realise the true quality of this property. It has large downstairs living area - 3 large bedrooms (all en-suite), plenty of aircon units (important in the summer) a fully equipped kitchen and all the usual facilities you would wish to find in a self catering villa. The outdoor area is perfect - a large private pool - mature garden (with bbq and a hammock !) - and views of the all important Kaunos tombs - which look great when lit up at night. Dalyan itself is a great holiday location - with the unique Itzuzu beach (aka Turtle beach), just a short, gentle (and cheap !) ride away on one of the many river boats that travel between Dalyan and the beach. For a change, take a boat in the opposite direct (inland) to the mud baths - find some lunch (maybe bbq on the boat or a quiet lakeside restaurant) and swim in the huge lake surrounded by green mountains....wonderful. Haci, the villa owner, has loads of knowledge and contacts in the local area. He's a great guy who will help and guide those that ask for his help - or just leave you alone if you just want to laze by the pool. Suffice to say that the world may be a big place with much to see and do - but Dalyan and this villa will not disappoint anyone who wants to give it a try.

Lovely Villa

  • 4 of 5

Myself and my family (Wife and 3 Children) had a lovely week at this lovely villa. We were collected at the airport and met by Haci at the villa, who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. The highlight was walking out onto the upstairs balcony and having an uninterrupted view of the tombs light up in the evening sky. We really enjoyed the pool, the mature garden and made full use of the very well appointed kitchen and BBQ area. We used the villa as a base for exploring the area. We went on 2 boat trips which the children, which they loved. The 12 islands tour was spectacular and we enjoyed the water sports (wake boarding and banana) that came and met us at our boat as we were moored in a gorgeous bay. The location of the villa is close to the lovely town where there are many bars and restaurants (where there is very good food), a supermarket and plenty shops, all within a five minute walk. Not having a car was a lovely break. The river is also a five minute walk away where you can catch a boat to the beach or go on one of the boat tours. We enjoyed fishing on the river where you are almost guaranteed to catch a fish!! On our departure we were met by Haci (and Mrs Subasi) and arrangements made for our transfer back to the airport. It was all made very easy and made a great end to a very enjoyable week.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Dalyan is a unique place: a small unspoilt town, which still retains the local colour sought after by many. But, for those of you who want more, there are opportunities for scuba diving, white water-rafting, sea kayaking that can be arranged and tailor made to fit your needs.

Dalyan boasts a beautiful 7km beach, that can be accessed by boat (Turtle Beach) or by Dolmus,mini-bus (Iztuzu Beach). Both equally lovely, but slightly different in character which offers choice. The trip to Turtle Beach on the boat through the reed beds is unforgettable and totally relaxing. Iztuzu Beach is more rustic and the journey through the mountains when the oleander in bloom is a joy for the senses. Both trips take 20/30 minutes and the cost is minimal. You really don't need a car.

The local airport is Dalaman, and flights can be booked from most UK airports. Dalyan is about 20/30 minutes from Dalaman Airport and I can arrange for you to collected and brought to the villa on arrival and taken back to the airport on departure. This is an additional cost. Price confirmed on request. You can get around Dalyan on foot: shops, restaurants, bars, all in walking distance. Car hire can be arranged if needed.

Nearest big town is Ortaca, with a busy market on Fridays. 15 minutes by Dolmus.

Koycegiz: market town (Monday), can be reached by boat trip across the beautiful lake, or by bus.

Gocek: wonderful village about 45 minutes away, that boats an impressive marina, and some lovely high class restaurants and shops. The 12-island boat trip starts from here and is not to be missed. You can join in an organised trip or rent your own boat for the day, complete with Captain and chef. A great day out.

Further Details:

Dalyan has everything you need: shops, restaurants, bars, several supermarkets, post office, banks/ATMs, medical clinic, doctor, pharmacies, tailors. The most important thing is that the local people are - in the main friendly, helpful, honest and courteous and will do whatever they can to help you. They are child friendly, adult friendly and very tolerant and welcoming towards the less abled: whatever the disability.
