Why JOANNE ANDREWS chose Manilva

We fell in love with Duquesa after visiting a couple of years ago, hence why we decided to purchase. It is family friendly, as well as being great for couples young and more mature. Everywhere is walkable, flat and if not has ramps etc. for ease, all shops and restaurants are a 5 min stroll with the larger supermarkets still reachable but a longer walk. Taxis are always available at the rank in the Port and there are just lots of lovely restaurants, bars with friendly people all around. It's very safe and peaceful.

Notes on accommodation: WIFI - pay as you go in place in the apartment with Cabisur also has communal WIFI available code from Community Office on site Outside: The apartment has a huge terrace (has to be seen!) with wooden table and chairs for 6 people. These are on the terrace outside the lounge where the bifold doors doors offer direct access to the outside and to terrace and the garden/pool area. Utility Room: Washing machine. Perfect location!

Wonderful apartment..... perfect location with easy access (5 minute stroll) to sea, restaurants and bars. A fabulous walk (15 minutes) to supermarket along the seafront that was so enjoyable and stopping on way back for coffee or beer! Very clean apartment and well equipt with everything we needed plus extras if we had had our children/grandchildren with us, we would love to take them all as it was so safe and easy. Outside area was huge and perfect for sunbathing all day, and for long lazy lunches. Pool was lovely as was surrounding area and every one was very friendly, and will be back for another lovely break.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The kitchen was fully equipped and the décor tasteful, it felt like a home from home. The terrace was huge and in sun all day long. Underground parking was very handy. The location was great, being only a few minutes walk to the harbour with many restaurants and bars and also to the beach. Well done Jean, thank you, we hope to be back.

Fabulous apartment

First class, apartment is very well stocked with the owner thinking of everything, it really is a home from home, light and very spacious. Location is fantastic, swimming pool outside your patio, gate to lovely beach with a fantastic beach bar, and quite literally a 3 minute walk to the bustling marina with numerous bars and restaurants! I certainly will be booking this apartment again, really can't fault it. Thank you.

Wonderful holiday

We have just returned from a fantastic 8 nights in Duquesa. We are a family of 5 with two children under 6yrs. This apartment was just perfect for us. Two really large bedrooms each with their own lovely bathrooms so no queuing for the showers! Both air conditioned. Kitchen really well equipped and a lovely spacious lounge area. Our favourite though was the amazing large terrace overlooking the pool area and fabulous large outside dining table. Pool areas all clean and not crowded. Pebble beach two minutes from our room was lovely and quiet too. The main harbour area, restaurants, bars etc were all beautiful. We had lovely walks to Sabinillas just 1km away and day tripped to water park and Marbella. All in all, we wished we had booked two weeks. We are definitely going back next year. Highly recommend this apartment for families. Great communications from the owner too! Thank you Jean.

Holiday in Marina Duquesa

My partner and I stayed in this apartment for 1 week at the end of June 2015. The two bedrooms with on suites were quite spacious and exceptionally clean. The separate kitchen was large and airy and was well equipped with good quality items. The separate lounge was spacious and had English TV and was pleasantly cool in an evening. Patio doors opened on to the large outside patio area which had a dining table and chairs, plus two sun lounges and an umberella. The patio got the sun from late morning until late evening. Security is a priority within the complex.

It also has a dedicated underground parking space with easy access by lift to the apartment. The only down side because of it being a ground floor apartment the patio is adjacent to a large grassy area containing many sunlounges for use by the residents staying in the complex. It can get very busy and intrudes a little on your privacy, but in my opinion the plus points overides this.

The apartment has easy access to the promenade and the beach and a 5 minute walk to Puerto Duquesa where there are numerous restaurants and bars catering for all tastes and prices.

Overall an extremely superb apartment in an excellent location and we will be returning next year.

The complex is in a first class position having the benefit of front line beach access with the marina only a couple of minutes walk away, so unless you want to explore the area, there is no real need to hire a car!


The nearest airport is Gibraltar approx. 30 mins. by road with Malaga under an hour. For those not hiring a car, we can recommend the names of reliable taxi services.
