Fantastic Christmas!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautifully fantastic Christmas here. The area is stunning with a fantastic long walk along the disused railway and lots of space for the dog to run around securely away from the sheep! Pubs, mountain walks, beaches and anything else you could possibly want are all a short drive away. Porthmadog is very close and a pleasure to pootle around. But with such a comfortable and characterful cottage to explore, a roaring fire to curl up next to, or a hot soak in a huge roll top bath, why go out!? And despite the age and the beautiful ancient features, we had all possible mod cons and complete and utter comfort! We really couldn't have asked for anything more.

Holiday in the cottage amongst the trees

  • 5 of 5

The friendliest and warmest of welcomes from a couple dedicated to providing a good service and proud of their country. The cottage was homely, warm (particularly the kitchen with the Aga) and delightful.

Generous logs provided for a real fire and heaps of hot water at all times from the Aga. We enjoyed cooking some wonderful meals on the Aga and the setting of the cottage was charming. Rhys and Mari did all they could to ensure we were happy and comfortable. We would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to sample a bit of traditional Wales. Thanks Rhys & Mari.
