About Tony

Ailish & Aine penthouse apartments are family owned. We love the area and location, and stay there almost every quarter of every year. They are 3 mins drive from the airport. The Penthouses are very comfortable and safe, with their own communal pool, and the beach is only 2 mins on foot. There's a fantastic promenade (clean, wide and people walk, run and cycle along it) parallel to the beach and sea front, you can stop off at any of the many tapas bars along the front and watch the wind surfers or take your own lessons. Its ideal as its close to the the main centre where there are many international cuisine restaurants. If you get tired of the beach, every Sunday there is a market literally next to the resort where you can indulge in shopping for bargains for a couple of hours.

Why Tony chose Los Alcázares

Great location and huge potential. The Mar Menor has a 7km stretch of sandy beach lined with palm trees and a promenade perfect for walking, cycling or watch the world go by drinking ice cold cerveza and tapas at one of the many beach bars on route. A 10-15 minute stroll will bring you to Los Narejos where you will find a superb selection of restaurants offering international cuisine alfresco in the warm summer breeze. Los Alcazares (pronounced 'los-alcatha-res') is situated in the Murcia region of south-eastern Spain, also known as the Costa Calida. The town sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a saltwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22 kilometre long strip of land called La Manga. The area enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine each year.

What makes this apartment unique

Easy access to and from airport, clean long beach, fantastic wind surfing to entertain you, wide clean promenade for your convenience to access beach, tapas bars or restaurants and its so chilled out. Food is reasonable, if you like Asian, Indian, Italian its all there. Supermarkets are very reasonable and well stocked with fresh fish, veg and fruit, wide choices of wines at a very good price. Lots of bizarres in the town for light shopping but don't forget they close between 2pm and 5pm. The properties are just chilled out next to beach and easy to get everywhere by foot or by bike or car.

We were delighted with the accommodation, ideally suited for families.

The Pool was always very clean and the grounds were well kept.

Even with very young children the whole complex was safe and secure.

Security personnel were always very helpful.

Proximity to the sea and very safe beach was a bonus.

The welcome pack was a really nice touch.

LOVELY APARTMENTS IN GREAT POSITION

We rented both apartments for 2 weeks. Toni was great to work with and could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Di the onsite manager was wonderful as well. Nothing was a problem for her. The apartments were both very clean and in the best position you could get if you were kitesurfing like us. They were well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen. Spinosa the kitesurfing bar and restaurant is right on the doorstep and the main street of bars and restaurants was a lovely 30 minute stroll along the nice prom. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful 3 bed apartment in a great location.

We had a really great experience staying in Toni's apartment- it had 3 bedrooms and was in really great condition with everything you could want. It's in a perfect location beside the beach and close to lots of Restuarants along the beach front. The whole area had a lovely atmosphere and the locals were very welcoming to tourists. We were a family of four and I would recommend it highly.

Fantastic apartments in a fantastic location

We were a party of nine covering four generations and booked both apartments in August.

The apartments were ideal with everything provided to make it a really easy, relaxed week. The pool was clean, warm and quiet which was brilliant for our three and seven year old grandchildren. The beach was a stones throw away, although a five minute walk along the beach brought better sand and experience.

We highly recommend these apartments for families of all ages.

Great family holiday

We are a family of four and stayed in the Aine apartment for one week during August. The apartment was lovely, spacious and very clean with a fully fitted kitchen that was kitted out with everything that we needed. The layout was great with the children sleeping in the twin rooms and we had the lovely large double upstairs. The apartment complex was very secure with a great pool area which was a massive hit with the children.

The beach was under 5 minutes walk away but we preferred to venture a little further along the promenade to where they had more activities for the children. As the sea is a lagoon the water was very calm and the children could walk out a good distance and still be able to reach the bottom, making it a great for inflatables and swimming.

The Spinosa bar which was located on the promenade next door to the complex was a perfect place to sit and watch the world go by, coupled with great food, very friendly staff and a playground to entertain the children.

The supermarket was 10 minutes on foot and less than 5 minutes by car. It provided us with fresh bread and pastries daily and also stocked all the usual items you might need if you wanted to eat in.

Overall the holiday was enjoyed by all of us and we couldn't have asked for more with the apartment. Toni was very helpful prior to our arrival providing us with local information and the welcome pack meant we didn't have to worry about shopping on our first day.

Super location for family holiday

We recently returned from a 12 night stay in Toni's apartment. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday. The apartment itself was lovely, great accommodation for our family of five. The aircon was very welcome in the heat and it was also great to have satellite channels providing coverage of the Rio Olympics. The bedroom accommodation was excellent and the whole apartment was very fresh and clean on arrival, the welcome pack was also a nice addition. The terrace was lovely to sit out on at night with a glass of wine after we returned home from dinner.

The location of the apartment is ideal, it's set within a small secure complex with a lovely clean pool. The apartment's proximity to the beach really made the holiday for us. Our three teenage daughters were able to go between the beach and the pool without us having any concern for their safety as there were no roads to cross,the beach is literally a stones throw from the apartment. The local beach bar Spinosa was also great to have on our doorstep, they served lovely snacks all day.

A fifteen minute walk along the gorgeous promenade brings you to a wealth of restaurants, the food was of a very high quality and extremely reasonable.

The local market held on Saturdays was a big hit with all of us, there was great value to be had in handbags, shoes, linen etc, I would definitely recommend going to it.

We also rented bikes and enjoyed a day along the coast, it's also possible to rent pedalos and there are plenty of watersports on offer. We never had a problem securing a beach bed at a cost of €3.50 a day, there was a variety of chiringuitos to wander up to during the afternoon for a cool drink.

With a transfer time from Murcia airport of only five minutes, it made the whole experience stress free. We would definitely consider returning to this apartment in the future. The owner Toni could not have been more helpful or pleasant to deal with and we greatly appreciate all the texts and emails she sent to ensure we had a wonderful holiday!

Smart beach front location

My family of four had a great time at this apartment. We have stayed in the small, secure complex before, but his time we stayed in Toni's apartment which was extremely smart and modern.

Plenty of space for all the family with two ground floor bedrooms and then a lovely master bedroom on the first floor with ensuite.

Great having English channels on the TV, and the aircon was very welcome. Had a lovely welcome pack on arrival and the safe meant we could secure our belongings.

As we had a young child with us, the lift came in very handy to the first floor for the buggy. The complex is very small and easy to navigate, and everyone around the pool is extremely friendly as you have a mix of those who have rented or own an appartment.

there is a short path with a gate at the end which leads to the beach and the Spinola Kite Bar which offers a great range of food and drink.

It is around 15 mins to walk to the main centre for the commercial zone, but there is a beautiful promenade to walk along with many bars on the way. The water is a lagoon, and means very calm warm waters which we felt very happy to let our children play in. The beach is sandy as well.

10 mins walk to the end of the road and you reach the supermarket, which has everything you need.

This is a perfect holiday apartment for families or couples. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.
