Apartment in La Grande Terche, St Jean D'Aulps, Nr. Morzine, French Alps - Quiet Central Location, 2 Minutes Walk to the Main Gondola and Other Amenities

2 min. walk to lift, well equipped, self catering apartment in a privately owned block. It is south facing with stunning views of the mountain and main ski area from the bedroom, lounge and balcony. It is situated just outside the main centre of La Grande Terche with great restaurants and bars, run by friendly folk right on the doorstep. The ski area is served by one main gondola and tends to be quieter than the close by resorts of Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz. There is plenty of skiing for one week on this home resort for a beginner or intermediate, ski kindergarten of over 3's is 1 minutes walk away(recommended), the other resorts are only 15 minutes drive away and offer a vast ski area with some more challenging runs.

Everything you could need

If you want a well-priced, well equipped, small but homely place to chill and relax, I would recommend this apartment. Keith was really helpful in directing us to it and, on arriving, we found that it was a great little resort with all the amenities you could need, You can walk to the Main Gondola in under a minute, it has local bars and a wee supermarket you can get most groceries (inc. Belgian Beer..... nuff said). The accommodation is clean, tidy and affords great views out over the Morzine Valley. We stayed with our 2 and 4 year old who loved being in the bunk beds, while we loved the privacy to chill out on a night in the separate living space. We cooked every night and it was fine for space to do this and dine together. I may add that this gem of a find comes with a very select range of DVD's and Videos (remember them). Joking aside, it was a welcome novelty which only reinforced my love for this wee spot in France. Sleeps 4 or 6 at a push. Ski on your doorstep or only 10 mins drive to Morzine. Bravo Keith! Nearest Airport : Geneva at 50 Miles Car: recommended

Travel:

Car hire is recommended from the French side of Geneva airport. The drive from Geneva takes 1.5 hours. It is a 500 mile drive from the port of Calais.

Distances:

Morzine, Portes Du Soliel 10km.

Annecy cathedral city 75km.

Geneva airport 65km.

Evian, spa town 30km.

Yvoire, medieval town 40km.

Further Details:

There is a small supermarket in the Grande Terche area approximately 3 minutes walk away, open day time hours, and an 8-8 in the main village of St. Jean D'Aulps. There are several good restaurants/bars with in walking distance of the apartment.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Suitable for children as the bunks are in a separated area from the living room and there is a travel cot for infants available. The kitchen is equipped with plastic cups and plates too, as well as plenty of crockery for adults. It is heated with electric hot air blowers which heat the rooms very quickly. We have used bright coordinating furnishings and fabric throughout to give the apartment a happy holiday vibe. Outside: Covered balcony the length of the lounge, over looking ski area/mountains and meadows. Clothes airer. There is a communal, grassy, meadow area all around and to the back of the apartments without boundary walls, and a communal parking area down a gravel slop with plenty of parking. Recycling is put in to a communal storage area under the apartment and there is a covered area for unloading only outside the front door. The ski locker is located next door to the recycling area. Utility Room: Cleaning cupboard with vacuum cleaner, dust pan and brush, spare bulbs, cleaning materials, spare blankets, travel cot. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bring your own bedlinen and towels. Cleaned after each occupancy. Other: Separate sleeping gallery with two full size bunk beds and doors leading to WC, bathroom and communal hall way.
