Apartment 2 is located in the small Vilamar complex 1km from Praia da Luz, only an hours drive from Faro Airport. With uninterrupted seaviews from the main terrace and of the resorts pools and gardens, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge diner and bathroom.There is also Free WiFi within the complex. Nearby attractions include the Boavista Golf course, the Algarve Motordrome and the lovely ancient town of Lagos with it's wonderful marina.

About The Owner

We live in Exeter Devon. Although we come from a beautiful part of the UK we enjoy relaxing and holidaying in Luz 3 or 4 times a year with friends and family.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2001

Why The Owner chose Luz

Vilamar is an extension of our home in Devon. We love the peaceful location,wonderful beaches and friendly people.It's close proximity to the local Restaurants,Bars and shops in Luz. We visited Luz in 1979 and always hoped one day we would be able to buy a property there. When we decided to purchase a holiday home there was no question where it was going to be 'LUZ'.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is in a small complex with wonderful views of the Ocean and coastline from the terrace. It has a restaurant and bar on site for those quiet lazy nights in or a short walk to the restaurants & bars in Luz. Lagos town is a short drive with it's shops, restaurants and marina.

Notes on accommodation: A cot and highchair is available on request. Portable electric heaters and blankets are provided for the cooler months. The apartment is Tourist license approved. Outside: There are two pools (one adult and one childs) with pool loungers available for free. On site bar/restaurant available for snacks or drinks. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Apartment will be clean on arrival and weekly thereafter. Towels and linen are included. Please note this does not include Beach towels.

The safe sandy beach at Praia da Luz, is 1km away- and about 15 minutes walk. Easily accessible by car. There are other beaches within driving distance including those at Lagos and Burgau.


Faro Airport is 1hrs drive from the Apartment and linked by motorway making it easy to get to the resort of Praia da Luz. There are car hire facilities at the airport if required. Cheap flights to and from Faro Airport are available.

A bus and train service is also located at the Airport.


Praia da Luz is 1km from Vilamar and 5kms from the historical town of Lagos, where within driving distance you can reach the Zoo, Waterparks, Marina (great for Dolphin watching), the Monchique Mountains (perfect for walking and horse riding) and the West Coast- ideal for surfing.

Further Details:

Praia Da Luz has many shops, restaurants and cafes. Also local facilities such as Doctors, Banks, Chemist, Supermarkets and local transport.

Booking Notes:
A deposit of 25% is required to secure a booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. A £100 payment (refundable) is required to cover against accidental damage or breakages.

Changeover Day:
We generally try to be flexible regarding changeover day. However we do prefer that check-in time is after 2pm and that check-out is before 10am.
