Old town Albufeira is a mixture of the historic and traditional flavour of the Algarve with cobbled streets and picturesque leafy town square, plus a superb variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The beach at Praia d’Oura offers a wide variety of water sports. For those enjoying the night life, the famous strip area with its numerous bars and restaurants is a short distance walk. Children and teenagers on holiday in Albufeira will enjoy the Zoo Marine centre at Guia and the 3 water parks within a short drive. Coast/Beach:

The apartment is located less than 100ms from the Forte de S. Joao Beach, made of fine golden sands, stretching around a curved bay, and protected by typical sandstone cliffs. Albufeira, to the right, and Praia da Oura to the left, are both within walking distance. In the area you can find all sorts of water sports and several bars and beach restaurants.

Travel:

Faro Airport is an easy short drive away, same 30km distant. A number of low cost airlines are now flying to Faro - compare prices for the cheap airlines such as Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Monarch, Flybe, Jet2, etc. For scheduled flights e.g. British Airways or TAP. There are nearby public transports and shops, restaurants and other facilities.

Distances:

Forte de S.Joao is located between Albufeira to the right and Praia da Oura to the left, both within walking distance. There you can find several water sport activities and several bars and beach restaurants. From there, you can also take a boat trip along the cost or visit the grottoes and enjoy grilled sardines on a beach accessible only by sea.

Further Details:

There are several historical villages and places of interest a short drive away. Silves, Monchique, Portimao and Lagos to the West and Loule, Alte, Faro and Tavira to the East are same and well worth visiting. In the area you will find all the necessary facilities, like restaurants, bar, discos, banks, supermarkets, hospital, etc but also only a short distance away you will find the “old Algarve” of donkey and cart and almond groves in beautiful countryside, where you can sit and have coffee and medronho (local spirit) in the village square.

Prices are per day,based on occupancy by 4 people. A 5th/6th person will be charged at 10% each of daily rate.Baby cot available at no charge .Accommodation for 5th/6th person is in a sofa bed with pull out bed in the living room.Cleaning of the apartment with linen and towels change after a weeks' stay.50% of total rent to confirm booking and remaining 4 weeks before arrival.Damage deposit may be required. Changeover Day:
Changeover day flexible. Arrival hour: any time from 5.00pm and departure hour before 10.00am to allow time to clean and prepare the apartment for the next arrival unless special arrangements have been made.

Notes on prices:
Prices quoted are for occupancy of 4 persons. A 5th or 6th person will be charged at 10% of the daily rate each. 50% of the total payable to confirm booking and the remaining at least 4 weeks before arrival. Payments by bank transfer in either Pounds or Euro - bank charges are the clients responsability. A deposit against damages may be required.
