Cottage in Crantock, Nr. Newquay, Cornwall, England - 5 Minute Walk To The Beach

Starfish Cottage is in the village of Crantock on the north coast of Cornwall, about 4 miles from Newquay. The cottage has been newly refurbished by it's owners to provide quality accommodation. It has a master ensuite double bedroom, a studio ensuite double or twin bedroom with balcony, a twin bedded room and 1 bunkbed bedroom and sleeps 8. There are 3 bathrooms; 1 bathroom with separate shower and two showerrooms. The living room has an open fire. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer & washing machine. There is a private patio garden with bbq. Our house comes fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Crantock is a hidden gem with 3 pubs, 2 churches, a tea room and a shop selling fresh bread & pasties. Crantock beach is owned by the National Trust and is a great surfing beach with beautiful soft sand, dunes, rock pools, river and excellent surf being the next bay along the coast from Fistral Beach but without the crowds. Crantock offers a great base for a traditional Cornwall holiday with easy access to all the sights and attractions.

Great get away for New Year - 3 family friendly pubs in walking distance & the SW Coast footpath 5 minutes walk away - great cycling on Camel Trail & Mining Trail - kids loved it.

Distances:

Newquay is 4 miles away. There is a ferry in the summer from Crantock Beach(River Gannel estuary end) to Pentire Headland/Fistral Beach and you can walk into Newquay. There is a ferry cafe on the Pentire side. Local buses run frequently from Crantock to Newquay & Truro.

The village has 3 family friendly pubs all serving good traditional food - The Albion, Cornishman & Bowgie Inn with SkySports TV, The Cosy Nook Tea Room serving cooked full english breakfast & delicious homemade cakesa , art gallery, and a Post Office shop selling freshly cooked bread & croissants and hot Cornish pasties. There are 2 churches - St Carantoc has amazing wood carvings and is on a beautiful walk to Crantock Beach near the pubs.
