Holiday Home in S'Algar, Menorca, Balearic Islands - Quiet and Peaceful

A professionally managed and extremely well equipped comfortable family holiday home in an excellent, peaceful position and well away from any passing traffic. There is a patio area in front with plenty of sun beds etc. There is also a large retractable sun canopy for when it gets too hot. Ideal place to sit and watch the boats sail in and out of Mahon harbour. To the rear there is a patio area which has access to the large pool which is set in its own lovely and private gardens. It would be difficult to find a property in a more delightful location.

I live in Newport, Wales with my wife and our wonderful pet Chorkie named Barney. My wife and I are both retired. We purchased the property from new in 1990 and both we and the family have enjoyed very many marvellous times there.

We love S'Algar because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are some beautiful beaches nearby and there are several bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. There really is something for everyone here. S'Algar is easily accessible from Mahon airport which is less than 1/2 hours drive away.

Activity and Interests


There are several restaurants, bars, a bakery, small supermarket and a variety of small shops. The resort is home to the famous S'Algar Diving School which offers training. Other sports facilities include tennis, bowls and crazy golf. It is a short drive only from the safe, unspoilt sandy bay of Alcaufar, Punta Prima and the well-known resort of Binibequer. There is a path close by leading down to Cala Rafalet, with its crystal clear water and sandy bay.


Only a 15 minute drive from Mahon Airport.

During the Summer months there is a regular local bus service to Mahon from where you can travel to anywhere on the Island.


Mahon is less than a 15 minute drive. You will be able to visit the open air market, famous fish market, a variety of shops and sit by the harbour to enjoy a drink, tapas or a full meal from a wide range of cuisines while you watch the luxury yachts come and go. Es Castell, about a 10 minute drive, is a small interesting bay for a stroll or meal. Sant Lluis, the main town in the area, is less than a 10 minute drive and has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and a very large supermarket.

S'Algar, a prestigious development, offers a selection of reasonably priced restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, a bakery and a children's playground. Sant Lluis, with a larger selection of shops, banks and a large SYP supermarket, is less than a ten minute drive
