A unique luxury spacious house with everything you would expect and more this five star property with exclusive fitness, pool and Spa facilities is equally perfect for families, couples, honeymooners . Set in the exclusive storrs park area. The heart of the English lake district and on the doorstep of the picturesque village of Bowness on Windermere. With its assortment of restaurants and boutiques. The lakehouse as everything close by whether its fell walking, boating, cycling, golfing, fine dinning or sight seeing. The lakehouse itself is a very spacious home unlike many cottages that have small rooms and limited space little or no gardens and limited or no parking. Private secure parking (electric gated entrance), large lounge (large sumptuous sofas), large hallway (with house cloakroom WC), two large bedrooms with en-suite, 1 with and an emperor size bed, 1 with king size and single bed Luxury spacious kitchen. WI-FI, sky in all rooms, central heating, towels, bedding and all energy costs, gym, swimming pool, spa access included.

Lakehouse has private parking for 2 vehicles. Lake Windermere is the largest lake in England and is in the Lake Districts National Park. A beautiful place with stunning scenery very popular for water sports and plenty of walks available to everyone of all ability. There are also some exceptionally well known restaurants in the surrounding area. This property is in walking distance to Bowness where you will find a large choice of shops and restaurants. There is Beatrix Potters Attraction which also has a tea room. Cinema, Tennis, Pitch and Put and lots of different boating opportunities. On the Glebe you can catch a Steamer to take you up and down the lake. Lakes Aquarium is at the southern end of the lake where you will also find Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. There is also a dedicated bus which will take you to Lakeland Motor Museum. Ambleside is at the northern end of the lake set amongst breathtaking majestic mountains, it is a very attractive Lakeland village with many outdoor shops and individual shops. Brockhole is a visitor centre which has large gardens and play area for children which you can call in at when travelling on a steamer. Blackwell the Arts & Crafts House is about 1 mile away and most definitely worth a visit. Further afield you have Hill Top at Near Sawrey which is Beatrix Potter's home remaining very much as when she lived there. Hawkshead is a true Lakeland Village with cobbled streets and clusters of whitewashed cottages huddles around secluded courtyards. There is once again a wide choice of individual shops Grisedale Forest Park has an extensive range of marked trails. Tarn Hows is a well known beauty spot which has easy access. Ulverston is not too far away this is the home town of Stanley Laurel the partner of Oliver Hardy who became the well known slap stick duo Laurel & Hardy.

I live in the beautiful english lake district with my partner Amanda we have five children between us although all but one is adult now. We both work Amanda in the local village where we live..Bowness on Windermere.. and I Mark on the Fylde coast near Blackpool.

We enjoy spending our spare time and quite often our holidays in the Lakes as we like to walk, sail and cycle.

We chose The Lake House because of its perfect location being 2 minutes from the village centre and right on the lake even after several years here the view still takes your breath away either from the lounge, kitchen windows or when standing on the foreshore. You will meet either Amanda or I when you stay as we like to greet all our guests personally & should you need any guidance just ask!

I first came to the lakes with my parents then my young family. Although my family have now gone their own direction they, like myself enjoy to spend time in the lakes at any opportunity. There is always something to suit every generation. Bowness is vibrant 'sensibly' lively, cosmopolitan, suits all generations with is Bars, Boutiques Restaurants, Boats, Lake, Beatrix Potter, Golf Course( 5 mins by car) it was always the place I would choose to live. It had to be on the Lake so when the opportunity to buy the Lake House came up it had to be. Initially for the views but within such a short space of time its beauty is the way it puts a perspective on everything and you really do stop relax and value all the good things. I hope you feel the same... I could never find anything more perfect.

What makes this house unique

Just out of Bowness along Lake rd you arrive at a large pair of electric gates... your entrance to Lake house with its secure and private grounds. You will be able to then take in the tranquility of lake Windermere its stillness the calmness is instantly relaxing... to wake and take in any one of its many moods and as the day unfolds it comes alive... becomes busy.

You may then wish to go for a stroll...

Lake Windermere bottom of the garden 70yrds, Windermere car and foot ferry 15mins where you can cross the Lake to Hill Top (Beatrix Potters home).

Stay this side and you have Bowness 20 mins with its many Boutiques, Cafes, Bars, Restaurants.

If by Car Golf Course 4mins, Bowness 2mins, Windermere 5mins, Market town of Kendal 10mins, Ambleside 15mins, Cartmel Racecourse 25mins.

Totally agree with the previous review. This place is amazing. We booked the Lakehouse for the most fabulous week I can remember. The house is just so beautifully appointed and spacious with incredible views from the lounge and kitchen. Access to all local attractions is immediate and the area is quite simply incredible. I have no hesitation in recommending this property and giving a 5 star rating.

Fabulous, fantastic, amazing!

Well, we have just returned from a weeks stay at the Lakehouse and we can honestly say it was fantastic. We knew the pictures on the website looked good but when you see the view from the lounge and kitchen window in real life it truly is breath taking. The house has absolutely everything you would need and the location is fantastic. The owners are very friendly and ever so helpful. The grounds that the house occupies are just delightful, massive garden, private jetty, amazing views over the lakes. You will not be disappointed if you book the lakehouse. We will definitely be returning at some point. Very highly recommended.
