Mill Lodge has been converted from part of the original 18th century mill, into a spacious and comfortable self-catering apartment. The conversion was carried out to a high standard to provide you with all the modern comforts of home in a traditional, historic setting. The apartment can comfortably sleep 2 adults and 1 child. Mill Lodge apartment has 1 bedroom (super kingsize or twin), large lounge with sofa and armchairs, mezzanine kids den with child's bed, a well equipped kitchen/diner and bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower. Within 2 miles of Wells city centre. Well located for Wells, Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar, Glastonbury. During your stay you can tour the working watermill, and try out the bread made on site from Burcott Mill flour. There are gardens shared with the adjacent guesthouse, and many walks in the village and surrounding Mendip Hills. Well behaved dogs allowed on request. Renewable energy provides the central heating and hot water via biomass boiler.

About the Owner

Louise and Steve French run Burcott Mill Guesthouse, the adjacent Victorian Flour Watermill and the self catering apartment. They bought the business in October 2009, after a life changing decision to leave their demanding corporate jobs, to bring up their children in the country. With 2 small children (Tamsin aged 8 and Daniel aged 6) life is never dull.

Great pub opposite with real ales and fantastic food, plus 2 other pubs in the village within walking distance. Village Post Office on premises 3 mornings a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday). Nearest Supermarket - 1 mile. Bed and Breakfast also available in the Miller's House.
