About Kate HODGE
Richard Cullen is the owner of Les Toits De Verchaix. Richard lives in Manchester with his wife and family. The chalet is managed by Kate and Simon Hodge, who have lived in Samoens since 2010. As well as managing the property, Kate is a local estate agent, and helps to run her husband's building company. As a family, they enjoy all the mountain activities the region has to offer, including hiking, running - and of course, skiing in winter.

This property is located in the heart of Verchaix village, which has stunning views over the Giffre Valley - which we truly believe is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps. It took us a long time to reach this part of France (we lived for 7 years in Brittany prior to this), but once you find this valley, you never want to leave!

Activity and Interests
Les Toits De Verchaix is easily accessible from the motorway, TGV train station or Geneva airport (50 minutes/1 hour). 540 miles from Calais or 9 hour drive. All local transfers are free for those parties choosing our fully catered option. For self catered parties the use of a car is recommended but not essential in Winter due to free ski bus which stops just down the road from the chalet.
A 30 second walk will take you to into Upper Verchaix where you can find a number of restaurants & a good starting point for picturesque walks. It is only a 4 minute drive to the large Champion supermarket and to the village of Morillon. The historic village of Samoens is only a 5 minute drive away & is the only French ski resort which is historically listed.
The chalet is a great base for exploring the beautiful and must see locations of Annecy, Geneva & Chamonix (45 minute drive).

We require a 25% deposit to secure a booking. Full balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Sunday is our preferred changeover day, but we can be flexible during off peak & low season periods. Arrival time from 4pm onwards. Departure time 10am.
Manager's Cancellation Policy
- 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
- 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
