Villa in Mijas Costa, Nr. Fuengirola, Costa del Sol, Spain - Great Location, Secluded 2 Bed Villa, Private Pool, Within Walking Distance To All Amenities

Welcome to 'Villa Alegria' which is ideally situated within walking distance of all amenities. Fuengirola is 3 minutes away and the picture village of Mijas 10 minutes by car. There are shops, supermarkets ,bars, restaurants and a local Saturday market all within a short walk. The villa has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the master bedroom is en-suite and the second bedroom has two single beds. Both have air-conditioning. The kitchen is modern, and has all the usual appliances. From the kitchen you enter a light and airy living/dining room with a modern L shaped sofa. the dining table seats six. Directly from the living room is a small balcony where you can sit and watch the sun go down. The property is south west facing and has the added advantage of all day sun. The pool area is gated for children's safety and can be illuminated for evening entertainment. To make a more enjoyable stay there is also a BBQ and bar. About the Owner

Hello, I am Frank and I have owned the property in Spain for over 25 years. I came to visit my parents whom had retired here and decided this is the place for me. My partner Stephanie and I have travelled extensively around the world, and have yet to find anywhere else we would prefer to live. The area has the perfect climate, travel is easy, great areas to explore, the beaches are clean and the main attraction. For us the day trips inland are spectacular and can really add to your holiday experience to discover the real Spain. We would be pleased to pass on our 'local' knowledge to people wishing to visit this beautiful part of Spain. We are associated with local classic car clubs, running and walking clubs and enjoy cycling.

“From the moment we got to Malaga airport and our lovely driver Angela picked us up and took us to our Beautiful Villa with our own private pool. It was sheer haven. Stephanie the one of the owners was there to greet us. As we can’t walk very far she offered to do our weekly shopping, instead I wanted to go myself. Guess what? She only drove me herself. She was on tap at for every and any little detail; nothing was too much for her. We have never ever been made to feel this special. As for the villa, we had a 40” TV with cable. Wi-Fi was also included. The villa was so big I had to keep trying to find my partner. As for the pool and BBQ this was fantastic. The gardens were amazing too, We never wanted to come home. What else can I say? Thanks Steph”

just spent 9 nights in this beautiful villa wish it had been longer from picking us up from the airport stephanie was brill very informative and helpful the villa itself is immaculate and spacious and very private as was the excellent pool the welcome pack was most welcome as we arrived late evening and stephanie had put us a bottle of cava on ice!The villa is in a lovely quiet area ideally situated for a stroll into fuengirola cant wait to return.

I have travelled around the world with my work and I still have not found a place where I would prefer to live than in Andalucia. The small strip which is the "Costa Del Sol" is only the tip! a fantastic place to base your self from as during the hot summers you have the cool sea breeze and you have the added advantage of day trips inland exploring the true Spain.

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 20 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Meson Martin at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Miijas Golf at 3 Kilometres Nearest Train : Fuengirola at 1.5 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : N340 at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Argentinian grill at 1 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Sierra Nevada at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Fuengirola at 1.5 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

CYCLING Fuengirola and surrounding area have newly built cycle tracks. Also great tracks for mountain bikes. Bicycles can be hired in Mijas and Fuengirola and we can recommend a company that will take you on Mountain bike tours.

There are many other special interest facilities on the Costa Del sol, including, cooking lessons, horse riding, walking tours etc, classic car runs, all of which we can give you more information should this be of interest to you.


Nearest beaches are 5 mins drive. 20 minute walk, There are many, clean, sandy beaches on the Costa del Sol, all within easy reach and safe for children. All have beach bars and restaurants where children are welcome and can play in safety, many have been awarded blue Flag and have typical local restaurants. There are two local naturist beaches. We are happy to provide some recommendations.


The nearest airport is Malaga, 20kms away. Car hire is not essential as there are shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk. Although, if you want to make the most of your stay, there are many great places to visit and things to see. There is also a local bus service and the train station in Fuengirola is also only a short walk away.


Malaga Airport is 20 mins drive, or Gibraltar is 50 mins drive

Mijas pueblo, is 10 mins drive,

Fuengirola is 1.5 kms away

Benalmadena is 15 mins drive,

Marbella and Puerto Banus are 20/25 minutes away.

The lakes (el choro- ardales) about one hour drive. Ronda 1. 5 hrs drive. Cordoba 1. 5 hrs drive. Sevilla 2 hrs drive. Jerez/cadiz 1. 5 hrs drive.

There are more than enough activities to keep you and your family occupied. Just drop me a line and I will advise on your favourite activity, I am sure it will be close by.

For an insight into the local culture you should try one of the 'Ferias'. They are a lot of fun and an insight into Andalucia culture, each village or town will hold their own during the year, so if you are lucky you should be able to experience one during your stay.

The biggest fiesta on the coast is the Malaga Feria held at the beginning of August the local Fuengirola Feria is mid Oct. The local markets are a fantastic place to pick up those holiday gifts, the biggest market on the coast is every Tuesday in Fuengirola, with some fantastic bargains, leather goods being a good buy!!

The lakes of El Chorro the largest lake in Andalucia with turquoise blue water, are a must to visit, Gibraltar, and a day trip to Tangiers in Morocco, Malaga is a wonderful city and under rated, Ronda, Tarifa for the outdoor type who enjoy windsurfing/kiting - reckoned to be the best in Europe, miles and miles of white sandy beaches, horse riding is available on the beaches, Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla, Jerez all worth a visit. We can give you more info should you decide to visit any of the above. closer to home are Marbella, and the home of the rich and famous Puerto Banus,

Mijas Village: with its cobbled streets and winding roads, this has the charm of real Spain. Many authentic Spanish restaurants with beamed ceilings and fireplaces ideal in winter or dine in their open courtyards and terraces in summer. Many local artesan shops selling hand made goods. The views from Mijas are quite stunning


This town stretches for many miles along the sea front with its easy walking new promenade (wheelchair friendly). Plenty of restaurants and cafes. shops and bars to suit all tastes. a great family resort.

  • Notes on accommodation: The villa is ideally suited for families with children, couples sharing and great for a romantic week away. Outside: There is a large private pool that has the sun most of the day and into the evening, It is secluded and great for sunbathing. The garden is large with mature trees. There are various sun bathing terraces to choose from and three different dining areas one next to the BBQ. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels are provide including pool towels. Although we do ask that you bring your own beach towels. Linen is changed weekly. Cleaning available on request.
