Why Rupert chose Bagnes

Our children love skiing and mountain biking straight from the front door in Sarreyer and that's why we restored this beautiful 250 year old farm barn into an incredibly comfortable and welcoming home. Its the perfect place for us to come as a family and unwind, whether we ski, mountain bike or just relax and walk along the old road to Verbier. Absolutely the perfect restorative to contrast our hectic lives.

What makes this chalet unique

Rare chance to stay in a unique and untouched alpine conservation village within minutes of bustling Verbier. You have the best of both worlds in Sarreyer, with all the benefits and access to Verbier and its outstanding skiing and mountain biking facilities, yet far enough removed to provide an utter tranquility that we've not come across on any of our extensive travels around the world.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We have had a lovely holiday and would not hesitate to recommend your chalet or Sarreyer to those who are looking for a unique and quiet, cosy holiday in the Alps. Your kind suggestion to use the cable car at La Chable was most useful – it saved us time and effort each day. The car park down there is so well organised, it was a pleasure to use.

Tamsin Burford - Feb 2012

" Your beautiful, cosy chalet was well equipped. Excellent value for money, by far the most economical way to ski in Verbier and stay in luxury. A chalet like this in Verbier itself would have cost us a small fortune to rent!" Caroline, Oxford UK. 2008.

"Perfect alpine walking. Beautiful accommodation and idyllic trails right from the village." Pam, Chicester, UK. Summer 2008.

"Ideal location for our family holiday, our young children loved the chalet and the freedom of the surroundings.... the perfect getaway" Andrew, Annie & family, Geneva.

Notes on accommodation: The chalet is located in an alpine conservation village in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The property is best suited to those who enjoy the peace of an idyllic alpine location. Excellent chalet for unwinding and enjoying quality family time together. Children will love Sarreyer! Although virtually unchanged for hundreds of years, Sarreyer is far from remote, with clear roads throughout winter making access to Verbier just 10 minutes away by car. In Summer hikers and mountain bikers access routes directly from the chalet door! Please note, you will need a car to get to and from Le Chable(Verbier lift) from Sarreyer if you are skiing. There is a post bus service to the village, and connections to Geneva by train from Le Chable are excellent. Outside: There is a full-length balcony accessed from the lounge. Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Self-catering chalet. Clean linen on beds on arrival. Chalet will be cleaned on departure only. N.B. No Towels provided.

A cosy chalet in a lovely village

  • 5 of 5

The chalet is in a charming village with modern and clean interior. We stayed for a week as two families, eight persons. It was well enough room to cook, eat and play together in the evenings. Everything was well equipped.

Rupert gave us a very good experience, the correspondence was more than friendly.

There is a little restaurant in the village around the corner with nice cheese fondue.

We used our car to get to Verbier for Skying and Shopping, which takes around 20-30 Minutes (we wen't down to Bagnes and back up to Verbier). Additional space for parking is 5 minutes to walk, it is ok to load/unload the car in front of the entrance.

We had a wonderful holiday in Sarreyer.

Wunderschön gelegenes Chalet mit allem was man benötigt

  • 4 of 5

Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.
