The resort offers a range of facilities including tennis courts, pools and top class restaurants. The 27 hole championship golf course and club house is only a few minutes stroll from the apartment and guests benefit from a discount on green fees. Vilamoura with its fabulous marina and extensive range of shops and restaurants is just 10 minutes drive away. Faro airport is a 20 minute drive away and beautiful beaches are within a few minutes drive. The apartment has a delightful south facing gated terrace perfect for relaxing and alfresco dining. There is secure underground parking for 2 cars.

Special interest holidays:

For bird lovers, the Rio Formosa is a protected natural wildlife park within a 20 minute drive. Here you can see birds on their migration pathway between Africa and Europe. In summer and autumn thousands of flamingos can be seen as they visit the wetlands at the Rio Formosa.

Coast/Beach:

The award winning Falesia beach with loungers and parasols for rent is 5 mins by car as are Vilamoura beach and the gently sloping beach of Quarteira. There are any number of beautiful beaches along the coast each with its unique charm and character.

Travel:

Faro International airport is just a 20 minute drive away. Car hire is recommended but not essential and is available at the airport. A taxi from the apartment to Vilamoura costs about 7 euros. Transport to and from the airport can be arranged at extra cost.

Distances:

Quarteira 1.5km, Vilamoura 3km, Val do Lobo and Quinta do Lago 10 -12km, Silves 20km, Albufeira 15 km, Lisbon 200km. Vilamoura with its magnificent marina, restaurants and shops is a 5 minute drive away. Many historic towns and fishing villages are within easy reach by car.

Further Details:

Approximately a 10 minute walk from the apartment you will find a superb Italian restaurant, traditional family friendly pub serving good food and a coffee shop with free wifi access. There are many high quality restaurants in Almancil and Vilamoura. Excellent supermarkets in Vilamoura and surrounding areas plus the very high quality Apolonia on the road into Almancil(5mins by car). Golf and tennis available at the resort and horse riding and go karting locally. The incredible Aquapark is a 3 min drive away and the wonderful Zoomarine with its dolphins, aquarium birds and rides an easy 25 minute drive.

Patio doors are fitted with extra locks and electrically operated shutters; all other windows are fitted with security grills. 24 hour security on site. There is secure underground parking for 2 cars and on street parking. Welcome packs can be provided if requested. This is a strictly no smoking apartment and we regret we are unable to accept pets. Outside: Very large private, south facing gated terrace : table with seating for 6, 4 sun loungers, hammock, large parasol and awning, built in brick BBQ, opens onto beautiful Italian style gardens with water features and swimming pools (approx) 50m away and not intrusive. 2 pools shared including 1 children's pools, extensive grass areas with additional sun loungers. Hotel facilities, golf course, tennis and Kids Club 2 mins walk. Utility Room: Hot water boiler, washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, coolbox, selection of children's beach toys and beach umbrellas. Grill doors lead to terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels, including beach towels, and linen provided. Apartment cleaned before and after occupancy. Fresh linen weekly. Cot and highchair can be provided if required. Other: Large airy hall with desk and a selection of books.

A beautifully furnished apartment with everything you could possibly need for a family holiday

The minute we walked into the apartment we fell in love with it. It had that personal touch with everything you require for a comfortable self catering holiday. The decor was beautiful and the outside living space was well furnished just perfect for our needs. The Vila Sol golf course was a 2 minute walk as was the hotel. My husband and son golfed at the course 3 times and We ate at the golf course where the food and service was very good. We didn't have a car and walked to the hotel where the staff were more than happy to call you a cab. Vilamoura marina was a 10 minute taxi ride costing 10 euros. There were plenty of eating places and lovely bars at the marina and in the surrounding square. We used the shared swimming pool at the apartment block which had plenty sun loungers and was always quiet. There is a large supermarket a short drive /taxi ride away for all your food and drink. BBQ facilities at the apartment were fabulous with a built in BBQ on the terrace. We will definitely be returning to the apartment a true home from home with excellent service before during and after from Frank and the caretakers onsite. The Vila Sol resort is a perfect location with vilamoura marina , beaches and first class golf courses easily accessible.

Great apartment

We have stayed in Vila Sol a few times now. This apartment was excellent and we wanted for nothing. Close to the golf club ,in fact within walking distance.

Fantastic apartment, it had every mod con and home comfort myself & my family could have needed!

Myself and my family (including a 7 month old baby) stayed here in August 2016 and we couldn't find a fault. Beautiful apartment, every home comfort needed, comfortable beds, good showers, lovely complex. The owner Frank is a pleasure to deal with (and man, I can be an awkward customer!!). Lovely family orientated area, nice pool with shaded areas for little ones. Beautiful restaurants nearby and the kitchen in this apartment is fully equipped should you wish to eat in. No issues with car parking, very secure apartment. We had a fantastic time and hope to be back again! Thank you Frank & Family!

Lovely apartment

Second visit to Vila Sol. Chose a ground floor apartment this time, much more convenient with our own patio and barbecue. Apartment was lovely and located in a good location which was beautifully kept. Kitchen well equipped and apartment had everything you would require. Could not fault the holiday, totally recharged the batteries. Did not use a car this time, relied on airport pickup which was arranged by owners local agent. Also used local taxi firms to go to marina which cost between 8 to 10 euros. Would recommend this apartment and location to anyone.

Booking Notes:
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the price of your rental is due within 7 days of booking to confirm your reservation. The remaining 75% plus a damage deposit of £250 is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. The damage deposit will be refunded within 15 days of departure from the apartment.

Changeover Day:
The changeover day is flexible. The apartment is available after 3.30pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on day of departure to allow for cleaning.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for 2016 and are per week in UK pounds. Payment in euros can be arranged using the rate of exchange quoted at the time of the booking. Special rates for Winter lets may be available. These prices are discounted for parties of two or less. Payment is by cheque or bank transfer.
