Full House 2/3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms plus extra wc/wb 2 mins walk beach and restaurants

This is a full traditional Spanish Town House. One of the coloured houses of the Old Town which is emblematic of Villajoyosa. The house is not shared with any other visitors so you aren't affected by anyone below or above you! It is beautifully presented having been updated and equipped with the modern traveller in mind. The kitchen has been totally refurbished in January 2017. And a large en suite added to the master bedroom.The house is ideally situated just 2 mins walk from the stunning uncrowded sandy beach with its restaurants and bars and two minutes from the high street with shops and a railway station which connects Villajoyosa to other resorts in the Costa Blanca.

If you prefer the countryside within 10- 15 minutes in a car you can be in the mountains. Perfect for picnics, walking, rock climbing, cycling, bird watching etc. If a more lively holiday is for you Benidorm is 20 minutes away and you can visit theme parks, water parks, animal parks and vibrant nightlife from your tranquil base in Villajoyosa.

About Jill

In 2003 we decided we would like to buy a property somewhere warm and beside the Mediterranean. We decided that the Costa Blanca was the best place due to its climate where you can even sit and eat outside in January and February. We travelled around but couldn't find anywhere that ' did' it for us. We knew that we were definitely not looking for England in Spain!

As we traveled around I saw a sign which said Port and Marina. We had no idea where we where but I said to Peter take that road!!!! As we turned on to the prom and saw the Old Town with its lovely coloured houses beside the sea we both looked at each other and said ' this is it it!' It was definitely love at first sight and nothing has changed nearly thirteen years later. We bought the third house we saw and when we walked into the house we had no doubts that it was the house for us. The estate agent was amazed at the speed we made our decision and said, 'don't you want to go home and think about it.?' Fortunately we have never regretted our decision and buying this house certainly improved the quality of our family's life!

Villajoyosa is such a special place it comfortably mixes old and new Spain with charm and ease. It is not just a tourist resort, it is first and foremost a Spanish town where the Spanish live the people are so warm, friendly and happy and are very welcoming to visitors.

Why Jill chose Villajoyosa

Having visited areas south of Alicante with flat landscape and little to do in the area we made a list of what we wanted. When we looked round this house we all agreed that we had found what we had been looking for. A spacious house with no-one above or below to make a noise, sea views, two outside terraces. 2 mins walk to a beautiful uncrowded sandy beach where even at the height of summer you don't feel like sardines in a tin. You can stroll to a good range of local bars restaurants and shops. You can hop on a train 5 mins walk away to take you to Alicante or the rest of the Costa Blanca Coastal Resorts and a wide range of attractions theme/ water parks etc. Fantastic coastal and mountain scenery with amazing walks. All this and a real sense of traditional unspoilt Spain too! Perfect!

What makes this house unique

Newly refurbished in Jan2017. This is a full house one of the original houses of Villajoyosa where the fisherman lived although it now has all mod cons needed for modern living! With two outside terraces and lots of space inside it enables you to relax and enjoy your holiday. Friends and guest say that when they walk in the front door they feel themselves relax. You can sunbathe on the roof terrace or sit quietly on the kitchen terrace watching the world go by and with views of the sea it is a lovely place to relax listen to music or read a good book. The roof terrace is a great place to enjoy a glass of sangria while looking at the sea and the mountains enjoying the peace and tranquility. The house is well equipped to cook in with a slow cooker come back from the beach to your meal ready for you! We have full wifi internet with good speed, some can be very slow!! We also have British TV for those who enjoy relaxing at home after a busy day.

It is great fun looking at the history of the houses and imagining how the houses used to be used. The ground floor used to be used for donkeys! I believe that helped to heat the house in Winter! We now don't need the donkeys as on the ground floor we have a lovely fireplace which is used, very rarely, in the winter if it is cold. The way the fireplace has been built it acts as a radiator throughout the house!

Booking Notes:
Once a booking is confirmed the house will be reserved for you. A small deposit is then required ( 10%). The total is then paid at least 6 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday. The cleaning fee is paid direct to the cleaner in the house.Please note Christmas new year Easter October half term and spring half term are all charged at £450 per week.

Changeover Day:
Saturday is preferred as a change over day but we are flexible and will respond to specific requests.

Notes on prices:
November to April prices based on 2 sharing. Extra people at £25 per week per person max 6.
May -October prices base on 4 sharing extra people at £50 per week each. Can cater for large groups - own the house next door sleeps 6/8. Cleaning and linen fee of 50 euros per stay. This ensures that the house is cleaned to a high standard for your arrival with beds made towels ready etc. No cleaning needed at the end of your holiday.Long term rentals welcome, particularly 3-6 months over the Winter.

Notes on accommodation:Being well constructed for the climate this type of house does not get too hot in summer and is easily heated in Winter. Young children love this house, however parents need to supervise toddlers when using the stairs. Outside: The house has two outside terraces which are for the sole use of guests in this house. The roof terrace has sea and mountain views 3 sunbeds, barbecue, electricity, water, full sun shade and table and chairs for 6. It gets the sun all day or if the sun is too much for you you can use the sunshade all day.With excellent lighting is a fantastic place to relax at the end of the day with a glass of well chilled or sangria wine while the meal is cooking on the barbie. Sounds Good! There is also a small terrace leading off the kitchen/ diner. This terrace is ideal for two people. On this terrace we have a small table and two chairs. This is ideal for breakfast of to get away from the rest of the group on the other terrace. It is a quiet place to read a book and has a sunshade to ensure that you can enjoy a book in the shade. With views of the street and the sea. It is also a good place to watch the birds building their nests and observe the typical Spanish street scenes. Utility Room: The house is equipped with all modern facilities to ensure that you can easily prepare meals while enjoying your holiday. We have a slow cooker which makes your meal while you are enjoying your self on the beach! Plus kettle, toaster, microwave etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Good quality bed linen is provided with beds made for the arrival of guests. All guests are provided with good quality towels, one hand towel and one bath towel each. Tea towels, bath mats and napkins are also available for the use of guests.
