About the Owner

I live in Dublin with my husband. Our family is scattered between London, Paris and Rome. We both work but spend as much time as we can in the south of France where we have many friends and have fallen completely in love with the area.

Before renting it out two years ago, we spent 6 months living there ourselves, getting to know the area and the people.

Antibes antics

  • 5 of 5

We had a great weeks holiday staying in this lovely modern and fabulously situated apartment.

The apartment has everything we needed for a week stay , lovely balcony , air conditioning , 2 bathrooms ( which with teenagers is a god send ) and fully equipped kitchen . The communal pool is great with lovely gardens around to sit and sunbathe. A boulangerie just a 2 minute walk away and a huge huge supermarket 5 mins in the car .

We where met on arrival by a very welcoming couple who had also offered to get a little bit of shopping in for us so we could have breakfast and a cup of tea as we had a late arrival, which I thought was a great touch .

We hired a car from the airport ( only 8 miles from apartment)as we wanted to explore the area and visited some really beautiful places , if you do hire a car Menton is a must the drive the coast road back to Antibes via Eze and Monaco absolutely breath taking views and car parks all easy to find .

There is secured parking at the apartment which is a real bonus .

Antibes town and is a real treat we had a wonderful meal in the main square , also enjoyed a local food market . The beach is also really close and the Picasso museum.

All in all we had a truly great holiday and this apartment was a perfect base clean modern and close to amenities.

Thank you will definitely be recommending this apartment to friends and hopefully return ourselves :-))))))))

Owner's Response: Dear May Family, Thank you so much for your very comprehensive review of your stay at our apartment in Antibes. I am delighted that you found the support on your arrival from JLP properties was helpful - this is our first year with Karen and Jocelyne and we have been getting so much positive feedback. I think guests like the personal touch that they bring. You certainly seem to have made the most of the locality. We are particularly glad that you found the facilities in the apartment were up to standard; we spend a lot of time there ourselves in the winter and so are very conscious of the needs of guests. Thanks again and hope to see you back in the future. Kind regards Helen

Fantastic apartment

  • 5 of 5

We have just spent 10 days in beautiful Antibes. The apartment was great, every facility you could need although most of our time was spent sitting out on the balcony! The pool was great, never very busy and we took the sunbed from the apartment with us. Antibes is a really lovely town. We ate out most nights and tried a different restaurant every day, never had to book in advance even though it was peak holiday season. The local bus service was superb, cheap and frequent. We used the buses every day and also went to Cannes on the bus and Monaco on the train. We were going to hire a car but found we didn't need to. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Owner's Response: Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to review our apartment. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your holiday and that the apartment lived up to your expectations. The proximity to the bus services are a great advantage - it saves you having to negotiate the holiday traffic - you can just sit back and enjoy the view! Good to hear that the pool was not too crowded. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing you again in Antibes. Enjoy the rest of the summer! Helen Campbell

A two month sojourn in Cote d'Azur

  • 5 of 5

A bright airy spacious apartment was the first impression, my sister and I had, when we arrived at the property which was to be our home for April and May - and it was exactly that - a home from home! A fully equipped kitchen/sitting room, very spacious balcony and two good sized bedrooms with big double beds. We found it to be a great location from which to explore Antibes and the other villages and towns in the region. It is also close to buses, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Being without a car was not a problem. A small complex surrounded by well and regularly maintained gardens, we would certainly recommend this property to family and friends

One of the main reasons we chose the apartment was for its location and proximity to buses and trains. I'm so glad that you found the space and facilities were good. Excellent time in perfect Antibes apartment.

  • 4 of 5

Thanks for a great stay at your apartment, it was perfect for our needs. Clean, modern and relaxing. We ate in a couple of evenings and relaxed on the balcony. Eating out is easy, as Antibes town is a short comfortable bus/taxi ride away. Local traditional baker was a real treat too. Thanks again. Sure to return.

Lovely apartment

  • 3 of 5

The apartment itself is everything you could need and more, very spacious, bright and airy. The large balcony is perfect for alfresco dining, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, but the atmosphere one would hope for is somewhat marred by the relentless roar of traffic from the busy road and roundabout directly outside the apartment block. The pool, although impeccably well looked after and a perfect temperature, has a very strict set of rules which makes this apartment unsuitable for families with children. There are no chairs or loungers around the pool which means you have to sit on the paving slabs- not the most comfortable nor are you allowed to take any inflatables or balls in to the pool (try explaining that fun rule to a 4 yr old girl with a brand new Disney Frozen ring in the apartment!).

We did have a great holiday here but I would suggest a car as although the buses are fantastic through the day, the last one is 19.50 from the centre of Antibes back to near the apartment, which means an early dinner or a long walk back...taxis are not to be relied on.

Owner's Response: Dear Reviewer, Many thanks for taking the time to write a review of our apartment. I'm glad that you found the apartment pleasant to stay in. In relation to the noise from traffic, that can be annoying for some people, but not others. To be honest, it is often hard to find a place where you can't hear traffic during the high season. It's usually quiet enough at night. In relation to the pool, it is possible to bring loungers or chairs from the apartment down. As it is a residential apartment, rather than a holiday complex, it wouldn't have loungers provided. I take your point about not being able to bring balls etc into the pool; I wasn't aware of that and will make a note of that in the description in future. It's a very personal thing whether to hire a car or not, and in general, guests have reported that they were happy with the local buses, rather than braving the traffic in high season. We have always found the taxi service to be excellent when you phone up. There is a night bus (200) which goes along the Route de Nice from Dugommier, stopping at Petit Four and La Fontonne - times are irregular and it is wiser to check on the website. the last regular one is about 8.40, then after 10.00 pm and later into the early morning.. Thanks again for points raised in the review. Kind regards Helen

Excellent location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time and the property was perfect for our short break with my sister and mother. We received such a friendly welcome and the apartment was spotless and really comfortable with a great kitchen! It's within walking distance of lovely restaurants in Antibes or has a very frequent bus service if you're feeling lazy. We would all highly recommend the apartment and think it's perfect for groups or couples alike. It's an excellent apartment to choose for comfort and convenience!

From the Owner

Year purchased: 2004 We love Antibes because it is so accessible to other places on interest along the Cote D'Azur, yet it is still a very French town and is busy all year round. there are some lovely beaches, a fantastic range of restaurants and places to have a morning coffee or evening aperitif. You can choose to go shopping in Nice, hop on a train to lunch in Monte Carlo or simply lie on the local beach and while away the afternoon with a good book.

Activity and Interests

Car: necessary

There is a quiet pebble beach within a ten minute walk from the apartment. From there, a ten minute stroll along the coast will bring you to a sandy beach under the imposing Fort Carre, designed by Vauban. The beaches of Cap d'Antibes and Juan les Pins are a ten minute drive away. they are also easily accessible by adjacent local bus.

Nice airport is only a 30 minute drive from apartment. Car hire is readily available at the airport. Bus 200 runs from the airport frequently during the day and evening and stops at the bottom of the road (cost €1) bus takes around 40 mins. taxi from airport cost around €60. Train station is 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from apartment. Car not really necessary as we are very close to bus stops. Free secure underground parking.

The centre of Old Antibes is 25 minutes walk away, 5 minutes by car or bus. Juan les Pins is 10 minutes away by bus or car. By car: Cannes 15 mins; Nice 20 mins; Monaco 30 mins; Italy 40 mins. Local transport by bus or train is excellent along the coast.

Further Details:

On arrival, you will be met at the apartment, given the keys and a brief orientation. From the Owner

The apartment is in a small Residence, convenient to local buses, shops, restaurants and a quiet beach. The apartment has been completely renovated with a new kitchen and new bathrooms added. It is light and airy, with a good sized balcony for long meals al fresco. Even in winter, we usually eat out on the balcony. The pool is suitable for children and not overrun by people since many of our neighbours live there all year round. Having SKY television and wifi access means that you can keep in touch with home.
