Rustic Villa near Almancil, Algarve - Very Private, Amenities and Beaches 10-15 minutes by Car

A fully restored traditional Portuguese farmhouse comprising main house plus separate cottage immediately beside (both included in letting and not let separately). Many original features retained such as the traditional pole and cane ceilings (see photos). Located very close to the Rio de Formosa National Park, the property is about 15 minutes drive to the beautiful local beaches, to Almancil, to Faro and to Faro Airport. The villa is largely surrounded by farmland (mainly fruit growing) and is very private being well away from other houses, but not "remote". The villa has the "feel" of a rustic farmhouse, but is very comfortable and well equipped.

The villa works perfectly for us all, and the little ones are wonderfully safe with the pool gates....lovely long nights under the terrace with too much wine and great atmosphere. A real gem and recommended.........returned this year to celebrate my 40th after spending such an amazing time here last year, I wasn't disappointed, another fantastic holiday at this beautiful villa with wonderful friends......We just love coming here! been coming to The Algarve for 25 years and this villa is just lovely. Perfect Family Villa

The setting is just amazing, I felt a sigh of relief when we arrived to find such a beautiful home and setting.

The location is perfect. It feels rural but not isolated.

We had happy children all week and that says it all really.

The owners (and manager) are very thoughtful, and their communication is fantastic.

We would love to come back soon.

A delightful high quality spacious home

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in this beautiful quinta situated in its own "estate" - totally private. Very well equipped with high quality fittings, high ceilings - the beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms very airy, everything worked properly and the house manager and his team sorted out any issues in a timely fashion whilst fully respecting our privacy. No sign of any white, plastic garden furniture here - quite the opposite and extremely comfortable, we shall be back!

Amazing holiday

What an amazing setting for a holiday. This was our 4th stay in this beautiful villa and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

We found that with new additions to our ever growing family the villa was well equipped for all our needs and a perfectly safe area for the little ones to run and crawl around.

Aswell as enjoying our days at the villa we also go to some of the gorgeous beaches around. Evenings are also spent at the villa as the setting is just divine, with at least one night dining at Kayas Restaurant. They do a fantastic 'Steak on the Stone' at an extremely reasonable price. The food here is fantastic.

Thankyou as always for a wonderful stay, we will be returning very soon!

Fantastic holiday!

We have just had a lovely holiday at Quinta da Passarada. The villa was well equipped for our three generation party and the pool was brilliant - didn't need heating at this time of year. The owners and managers were a pleasure to deal with and all queries were responded to quickly. Beautiful beaches close by and all amenities easily reached by car though we would recommend the bakery/cafe within walking distance on the main road. I hope we will be able to return next year for another relaxing holiday!

Fantastic villa

This is the fourth time we have returned to the villa with our 4 children. Cannot fault it. Private, homely and such a beautiful location. A car is required, yet only 5 mins drive are beautiful beaches and a great choice of restaurants. The villa is very well equipped and clearly the owners have thought of everything. Both the owners and villa managers could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this villa. thank you, we had an excellent time and will definitely return again!!

superb

our family, children and grandchildren(5&7), had a perfect time there. It was everything we wanted, child-friendly, secure, spacious, comfortable, close to airport, quiet and very well equipped. Because it was very hot we spent a lot of time there - in the pool, inside air-conditioning and a long table in the shade. Beaches were fabulous and just a short drive away. We recommend you go to Faro old town which is lovely to stroll round , eat & drink. Coming home it took us less than 30 minutes from leaving the property to getting into the terminal and than included taking rental cars back!

We bought this villa because we wanted something very private and different from the numerous new villas in the Algarve. We love the Algarve weather, the space (we spent our working lives in cities), the privacy, the pool which is the focal point for nearly everyone in the summer, cooking in a fully equipped modern kitchen or outdoors on the barbecue, leisurely meals outside under the porch or by the pool with family and friends, the balmy summer nights, the charm of an historic house etc.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 10 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Almancil at 4 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Vale du Lobo at 4 Kilometres Nearest Train : Faro at 10 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : N125 at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Almancil at 4 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Pyrenees at 100 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Vale du Lobo at 10 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Beach at various points can be reached in about 15 minutes by car (probably a bit more in peak season). Wide long sandy beaches some with restaurants and bars close by.

Travel:

Faro airport only about 15 minutes by car.

Distances:

Faro and Almancil about 4-5 Ks. Numerous places of interest and more beaches and towns along the coast both east and west.

Further Details:

Numerous restaurants in and around the resorts of Quinta da Lago and Vale de Lobo 10-15 minutes drive away. Also in Faro and on Faro Island. Fresh grilled fish and good wine at very reasonable prices. Good supermarkets in Alamancil and Faro. Open air markert in Loule.

We play tennis at a number of locations not far away but golf is the main sport of the area. Numerous other sports and water parks are available in the area. The national park with vast areas of woodland is a short walk away. Beaches are huge and clean, eating out is good and generally good value. Shopping is easy, wonderful fresh fish and veg' available, excellent wine still comparatively cheap.
