Villa near Podi and Herceg Novi, Southern Coastal, Montenegro - 10 Minutes from the City of Herceg Novi

Modern and newly refurbished, this 5 bedroom villa with large private swimming pool; is situated in the village of Podi, close to Herceg Novi on a hillside overlooking Boka Bay. Excellent for families with kids or large groups of friends, the Villa is spacious, well equipped in contemporary style and set over 3 floors, so giving everyone space and privacy. It is elegant and well furnished with cozy atmosphere. The pool and pool area are furnished with sunbeds and there is also an elevated terrace with a shaded dining area near it. There is plenty of outside sitting areas on two separate sides of the house. The Villa is about 10mins drive away from the nearest beach, Herceg Novi centre and the nearest large supermarket. There is a well-stocked food shop as well as a café, within 8min walking distance from the house.

Podi is a lovely, green village elevated above Herceg Novi, overlooking the stunning Boka Bay. The area is well connected by road but tranquil and quiet. There is a shop and a cafe within walking distance of the hosue, as well as some great walking tracks. About 10min drive up the hill, in the scenic village called Kameno there are new cycling and walking paths recently created for those who wish to enjoy the stunning nature on foot or on bicycles which can be hired here. This area is ideal for instant relaxation, yet slose to all town amenities. Historic cities of Dubrovnik, Kotor and Perast are all within an hour’s drive.

We are a couple that have recently bought and refurbished this beautiful house in Montenegro. As we unfortunately don't have the chance to use it a lot, we would like others to experience it as well. It has a very personal family style, but still very modern, that we enjoy a lot. We do hope you will feel the same.

Owner is Norwegian citizen with residence in Switzerland.

Wonderful Stay

This was a super Villa that worked really well for our group of friends. The Villa was very spacious and set over 3 floors so giving everyone space. All the rooms were spacious and very well furnished and beds comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.

The pool and pool area where fab and we spent many a happy hours in and around it.

There was plenty of outside sitting areas as well as a lovely shady dinning area. A car is needed as the Villa is about 15mins drive to Herceg Novi which you can walk to but takes a good half hour! and the walk back is all up hill!

A must do day trip is to Trebinji in Bosnia which is about 1 hour from villa (don't forget to take your passport) We spent a wonderful day here.

There is a small very well stocked shop in Podi a short walk from the Villa which opens early we got our daily bread from here every morning followed by an excellent coffee in the Caffe bar next to the garage which was staffed by the most friendly girls and also served great ice cream and beer well worth a visit for an early morning coffee afternoon ice cream and early evening beer!!

We explored the surrounding area but need to come back as there was still plenty to see and do in this beautiful country.

Nearest Airport : Dubrovnik(DBV) at 30 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Local at 200 Metres Nearest Beach : Meljine at 25 Kilometres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

Several beaches only 5 minutes drive away.

Travel:

The airport at Dubrovnik is just 40 minutes drive away from the villa, and the international airport at Tivat in Montenegro which now has direct flights to London, is a 35 minute drive.

Distances:

House is situated on a hillside above the city of Herceg Novi. Driving distance less than 10 minutes. The Boka Bay has several places of interest. One of the newest James Bond movies was filmed nearby. The ancient cities of Perast and Kotor is worth a visit.

Further Details:

There are a huge selection of restaurants, bars and night clubs in Herceg Novi. The beach promenade is always full of life and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Montenegro. We recommend the Yacht Club. Several big supermarkets nearby (ca 5 minutes). The village (Podi) has a local pub and a grocery store.

Booking Notes:
25% deposit is required to secure the booking and the remainder should be paid 8 weeks before the start of the letting period. A refundable deposit of €300 is required to cover breakages.
