This property was furnished to live in, not to rent, hence it offers more luxury in terms of furniture decoration and art than most other rental properties. 5 large bedrooms, 4 large bathrooms + 1 WC and 2 full kitchens. The property offers great privacy and wonderful views of the mountains surrounding the Soller Valley. The garden is approximately 50.000sqft in size (5000sq.m) with a 15x30ft (5x10m) pool and a sandbox for the kids. Fabulous outdoor lounge and dining areas. The fully equipped kitchen seats 8 persons and a separate indoor dining table seats 10. Floor heating, hot/cold air-conditioning, fireplace and a ceiling fan. Wireless internet. The villa is only a few minutes walking distance from the historical centre of Soller with its Miró museum, cafes, shops and the most stunning hiking paths of the island, this is a truly special property that you will hopefully fall in love with the same way we did when first setting foot inside its gate.

About the Owner

We are a Swedish-Canadian couple living in Sweden and spending as much time as we can in Mallorca. Our property in Mallorca was the first one we saw when looking at houses and it was love at first sight. We think it is a true family paradise.

We have two daughters (14 and 6) spending most of their time in the pool and a 1 year old boy who loves the sand box.

Our property has the privacy offered by a large and lush garden. And the security of filtered water (for bathing and drinking) that is hard to find in Soller.

Renting from us is safe. We have an excellent property manager who can help prepare your stay (from dinner recos to sailing reservations to Spanish lessons). And she will ensure that your vacation goes smoothly when you are in our home.

Wonderful.

I cannot recommend this house highly enough. A beautiful place that retains the charm of a 'Finca' but has all of the modern, state of the art conveniences and luxuries that makes for an easy, relaxed and entertaining holiday. We have stayed in Soller many times but this place has it all and, surprisingly for such a central location, is peaceful and calming with a lovely view of the town and the surrounding mountains. The huge gardens, fantastic pool and provision of a trampoline, sandpit and great audiovisual facilities meant that our children were well taken care of. It is perfect for two or even three families. The property was perfectly maintained; the location excellent and all aspects of customer service were superb. A wonderful house.

The Soller valley is so easy to fall in love with. Its romantic and genuine old city center with its charming cafés. The mountains, the proximity to wonderful Port de Soller and its relaxed outside patios with views over the water, the yacht harbor and the surrounding mountains... Simply breath-taking. On a hike or short drive distance, you will find stunning Fornalutx (voted Spain's most beautiful village), the celebrities' first choice Deía and charming Valldemosa - all worth a visit! This is the REAL Mallorca and the reason more and more people are choosing to vacation or settle down here. Soller is not a charter tourism destination but if you are looking for gastronomy (eg. restaurant el Faro just to mention one), culture (the Miró museum and Can Prunera in Soller centre) and nature (mountains with unlimited hiking & biking possibilities) then this is it!

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

Hiking and bike excursions can be organized. There is no better, more beautiful place on Mallorca to experience by foot. The mountains offer beautiful views and walks of various difficulty. With our property manager we can manage most requests to ensure you enjoy your time spent in Mallorca.

Coast/Beach:

5 minute by car to the beaches of Port de Soller. Alternatively, 15 minutes by bike or 10 minutes with the old and very charming tram which stops at 1 minute's walk from the property.

Travel:

30 minutes to Palma airport by car.

Distances:

Property is set in the heart of Soller with 5-10 minutes walking distance to the town center. One of the world's oldest trams stops 1 minute walking distance from the house and it takes you to either Soller in 1 minute or to Port de Soller in less than 10. No tourist should avoid taking this tram at least once, a truly charming experience! There is also a very old wooden train.

Further Details:

There is a charming market every Saturday that we don't miss. The local supermarket is a 6 minute walk from our house. Or you can walk <10 mintues into town and get your bread at the baker, your meat at the butcher and your greens at the local grocer.

We use the property as a true second home. It is not sparsely furnished like other homes for rent- It has cosy couches to relax on, great dining areas, and comfortable beds to sleep in. You come to the house with your clothes, everything else is provided for. The property is unique in being close to the beach and the town, while still having a large outdoor living space to enjoy for privacy, outdoor dining and for a game of football. The property is very convenient in terms of own car access/parking. It takes us less than 10 minutes to walk into town. If we want to go to the beautiful port and enjoy the beaches and cafes, it takes less than 5 minutes to drive and park. Or we can walk for one minute and take the charming wooden tram which takes us into the heart of the picturesque port.

  • Notes on accommodation: Bedrooms 1, 3, 4 and 5 (guest house) and living area of the guest house (where a double sofa bed is placed) have hot/cold air-conditioning which is not as critical in bedroom 2 (lower in the house and therefore less affected by direct sun). The master bedroom also has a ceiling fan over the bed. Ground floor and the master bath room has floor heating. The garden is flat and hence perfect for children! They can also not exit the property easily since it is surrounded by bamboo, fruit trees, bushes and a high stone wall. Outside: Private swimming pool 15x30ft (5x10m). Cosy and sun protected lounge patio with seats for 6 located next to the barbecue. Outside dining area seating 8. Sun chairs to use by the pool. Large umbrellas to protect against the sun. The garden also has a large trampoline for kids who like to do some jumping. It is of course surrounded by a protective net for safety. Lights in the garden, along some of the paths leading up to the house and in the pool. Utility Room: Washer and dryer in both main house and guest house.
