About Rachel stockwell allen

Mad, loud family and other animals :-) Mixed interests and needs so this suits all.

The detached home and spacious feel means that we can be ourselves with plenty of space to be as free as we like. Perfect.!

Rachel stockwell allen purchased this bungalow in 2009

Why Rachel stockwell allen chose Seahouses

Fell totally in love with this area and coast some years ago after booking a break like this one.

This property s unique as we have created it with much thought and love .

We never intended to rent out so this business was indeed born from a love of the house , it’s memories and the area and not just basically a business from the start .

This home has grown with our family over the years with TLC and now our kids are mainly adults we still return to get ' that feeling' that family is everything and to experience the simplest pleasures of life near the sea .

The house is good for everyone , toddlers run free , moms and dads chill , teenagers explore or hide in their annexe or anyone of any age with disabilities of any kind can be totally included too !

All one level and specialist wet room , disabled loo and profile beds

Wild, rugged unspoilt , friendly and worry free, that's how we see this place - Love it.

What makes this bungalow unique

All on one level

Welcome children

Welcome people in wheelchairs and understand the difficulties associated with this which is why we bought expensive profiling medical beds for the annexe , one of which is rise and fall for carers .

We’ve tried to think of everything but obviously can’t provide for every single special need so please just ask to save disappointment .

Welcome well behaved dogs , max2 unless arranged

Overlooks open fields and so affords privacy and a sense of freedom!

Wood burner

The sea / beach on your doorstep.

Very High quality interior

The views over fields at the back are gorgeous and the outdoor area / gardens are private so you are not overlooked at all whilst out barbqueing or drinking wine and listening to the gulls .

The property sleeps 10 + 1 cot ( including the pullout) and linen\towels ( not beach towels) and post stay clean is included .

*** please note that yes the pull out king bed is in the lounge but the lounge can be private at night as no access through needed for loos / kitchen etc .

I haven't come across another stylish , family / walking difficulty friendly/ dog friendly / private aspect single storey house by the beach ;-)

Look forward to hearing from you :-)

Very modern, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Perfect family get together house.

  • 5 of 5

8 of us stayed for a long February weekend of sunny coastal walking and celebrating a 50th birthday with food, drink, music and games. The house is bright and airy, very spacious and comfortable and very well equipped with everything needed for a coastal holiday. It is well designed internally to allow privacy as well as communal living.Tastefully decorated with a homely relaxing feel. Very comfortable beds. Easy walking distance to the beach and Seahouses. We stayed for 3 nights but didn't want to leave. We would love to return in the summer months to barbecue and sit outside.

We'll be back!

  • 5 of 5

We found the property to be larger than we expected, I think its fair to say that the photos don't do this property justice. We were a family group of 9, ages ranged from 7 - 74 years, we had a comfortable stay and had everything we needed. We had mixed weather but this did not stop us from enjoying ourselves. We found the walk into Seahouses and Bamburgh very enjoyable. If I am honest I wish we had booked to stay longer as the 3 nights went far too quickly. I very much hope we will be back soon. If I had to make any suggestions it would only be that an addition of a doormat inside the front door would be of benefit to all, particularly when the weather has been bad. There had been a considerable amount of rain in the run up to our stay and so on occasion we had muddy boots. Its also worth mentioning that there was a drain issue which the owner and housekeeper fixed almost immediately and without any disruption to us.

If you are considering booking don't hesitate, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed.

Fabulous home from home

  • 5 of 5

Gorgeous house with ample room for 2 families and 2 spaniels. Close to the beautiful beach for a leisurely stroll to Bamburgh. Tasteful furnishings and well equipped with a range cooker which inspired my husband to cook every meal! Can’t recommend it enough.

Gorgeous spacious holiday house perfect for our Family Xmas 🙂

  • 4 of 5

Just come back today after a wonderful family Xmas at The Beach House. Wanted to have Xmas together with two families of 4 and our Dad. The house is really spacious with a huge living space and beautiful kitchen at the hub of the house. The Annex caters really well for disabled guests or if people need some peace and was perfect for Grandad to escape for some peace and quiet when needed and with 9 of us there it meant we could have a family Xmas together but did not ever feel like we were on top of each other. Owner very helpful with lots of questioned answered on run up to holiday to make sure our Xmas ran smoothly. Even had a lovely Xmas tree up for us and a bottle of wine and some chocs when we arrived! The area is beautiful, love the beach at Bamburgh with the beautiful castle. Amazing free firework display in Seahouses on Xmas eve and a trek up the coast to the border of Scotland and a walk around The Holy Island on Boxing Day. Did not want to come home...my 8 year old said ‘it’s the best place in the universe’!! Lovely family memories made...thank you.
